He was probably referring to the demon [Mephisto].
The demon, who had been completely out of contact since the tenth mission, remained unresponsive no matter how many times they were called upon, appearing as quiet as if it were completely dead.
"They might be lurking somewhere, waiting to see us make a fool of ourselves."
Sheng made some sinister speculations about the demon: "It's been so quiet all this time, maybe it's secretly sharpening its blade behind the scenes, preparing to stab someone in a vulnerable spot."
Hmm... it's not impossible.
After swallowing the last piece of meat, Sheng licked his fingers and concluded, "In short, just stay vigilant."
That's for sure.
I've been struggling in this world for months now, and I've been through quite a few dangerous situations. I have to be wary of those who get too friendly and approach me from time to time. I can't even trust my teammates too much, lest they easily exploit my weaknesses when we have arguments or disagreements.

To dispel this wavering, I changed the subject: "Is there anything else that needs to be done? We happen to have some time now, so we can do it."
Sheng closed his eyes, tilted his head, and thought for a while before finally shaking his head and smiling. "No! Rather, you could say that the rest of the work on this floor is just a matter for me." He patted the vines that had fallen from the plant wall behind him. "Although it's troublesome for everyone else, I'm here. All you have to do is wait patiently and find a way out."
"Brother, you should rest assured and get some rest. You were burning up the whole way, so you must be very tired."
As he spoke, he handed me some small, sparkly objects, which startled me.
