Chapter 68 Debugging Mode shuhaige.net

What I know for sure is that I have almost complete control over the creation and control of that temporary space, just like I do over this miniature garden, and even more so. I can create inanimate objects at will—of course, there is the limitation that I cannot take them out.

Wait... control... that's right! Why didn't I think of that before?

I looked up, my gaze piercing through the layers of the library and reaching the azure sky. For a moment, it felt as if my soul had detached from my body, or perhaps my senses expanded infinitely within the entire miniature garden, and everything within it became crystal clear before my eyes.

It felt as if I had returned to the perspective of the place's creation.

—Separating the necessary magic power and a sliver of perception from oneself, and repeatedly investing them into a complex array of spells, creating a small, bubble-like space in the void. Then, while maintaining the stability of the outer walls, the scope is expanded as much as possible to establish the basic elemental composition. While ensuring that the elements do not explode due to their own collisions, they are directed to build a stable transformation and cycle in one place...

At that time, those seemingly complex processes, viewed from this strange perspective, felt as effortless as waving my own hands and feet, manipulating the flow and output of magic within my body. The separated senses, along with the constantly colliding and spreading torrents of magic, surged in every corner of this space, allowing me, with my not-so-broad senses, to meticulously perceive the flow of everything. In conjunction with adjustments to the spell array, I easily maintained the stability of the structure.

At this moment, by elevating one's perspective to the highest level, although it is impossible to accurately grasp every minute detail, it is still possible to clearly identify the source of the problem.

A pale golden magic circle spun and spread beneath me. I first looked down, attempting to access the records at the bottom of the miniature garden—

[The Library of All Things - a vast library containing all the records of the world, the authoritative form of the Omniscient Witch, continuously growing]

[White Jade Tree*42 - Minor damage, but not a major impact]

[Sunflower - a strange flower with colorful blooms, but it doesn't have much of an impact and seems to be a harmless plant.]

[21 Empty Spaces - A completely empty area; it's unknown what will appear on it]

[Fairy Territory*New - A temporary territory established by the Fairy Queen and Flower Fairy leading the fairies, seemingly planning further expansion and the construction of additional defenses.]

[Dawnlight Special Experiment Base - A special, fully enclosed facility independently deployed by Lena. Shaped like a semi-circle covering the ground, it appears to be a mechanical construct, and explosions have been heard intermittently recently.]

[The water surrounding the miniature garden - endless water that outlines the boundary of the miniature garden, yet the distance is merely an illusion for those standing on the shore, impossible to truly reach* even if one did reach it, it would only be to glimpse the abyss.]

[...]

I glanced at the pale gold subtitles that appeared before me and waved them aside.

The technique of induction and summarization is indeed useful. Although it was just a flash of inspiration that I used subconsciously, it saved me from wasting time digging deep to investigate all the possible problems.

As it stands, although it is somewhat too spacious, at least there are no problems on the ground of the miniature garden.

Having confirmed this, I breathed a sigh of relief. Then I saw Hikari beside me curiously shaking my arm, while the artist sat to the side, looking like she was about to cry, intermittently explaining that part of her inspiration for the painting came from the starry sea she had glimpsed that day. I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed.

So how did this whole mess end up being pinned on me?

I shifted my gaze to the side and saw that most of the fairies were gathered together, seemingly oblivious to my presence, discussing something. Perhaps it was something I had gleaned from the records at the bottom; they were devising plans to further expand and strengthen their defenses. I was naturally happy for them to do their thing; if they did well, it would save me the trouble of racking my brains.

I suppose the flower fairy came to find me earlier for this very reason, but was interrupted by an unexpected incident involving Miss [Aisha], and couldn't continue for a while.

Yao, who was sleeping soundly in my shadow, seemed to sense something. She looked up at me, and after confirming that it was me, she did not make any unusual movements. The former remained silent with a smile, while the latter continued to close her eyes and sleep, as if nothing could disturb her sleep except the end of the world.

Lena, the leader of [Dawn], who prefers to be called "Big Sister" or simply by her name, for some reason, just goes with the flow—suddenly burst out of the completely enclosed experimental base after a long absence and hurried toward the library.

As she left, the hemispherical building, entirely silver-white with a few points of blue tinged with blue, gradually dimmed, like a magical device that had lost its magic supply. Or perhaps it was just a simple texture error. After a few flickers, the green of the lawn behind it appeared, and then it vanished into the air.

Almost simultaneously, two lines of updates flashed across the bottom-level records within the sandbox. The plot marked [Dawnlight Special Experiment Base] was crossed out, while the number of [empty plots] increased to 26.

Although I was curious about why Lena, who rarely left the experimental base, had finally ventured out, there was no need to worry about it now. Even if Lena was moving quickly, it would still take some time.

So, let's check the sky.

After exchanging a few words with Hikari, I turned my gaze back to the higher place.

This is, after all, my little garden. After my perception rose to its highest level, my intuition had been subtly warning me of something. That strange sense of unease had been lurking behind the seemingly normal sky, and my previous exploration of the earth was merely an attempt to confirm that the same premonition was not hidden there.
