Chapter 206 The Smiling Guy is the Best at Hiding Secrets
After completing the final walkthrough of [Hidden Dungeon: Art Gallery], I had pondered whether [Raven] still existed.
Based on my usual observations of [cats], ordinary attacks seem completely incapable of destroying the essential existence of such creatures in paintings. Only the kind of attack that Alice previously inflicted on them, whose essential principles were not yet clear, could effectively affect their outward physiological characteristics.
However, in contrast, the attacks and defenses that [cats] exert on real, existing things are real and effective.
In other words, if the beings depicted in the paintings drawn by Miss [Aisha], or even if she herself went berserk, were to be successfully suppressed, it seems that only Alice in the miniature garden could do so.
Of course, if I could request outside assistance, I could also choose to send the mentor into the arena, or simply use some facilities within the sandbox to isolate them in the interlayer, or even banish them to the void.
...But to be honest, doing this would be a huge waste of such precious and valuable talent.
The only saving grace is that, so far, I haven't found any unusual signs in Miss [Aisha]. The [cat], as a living being in the painting, gets along well with everyone. The only troublesome ones are the missing [crow] and the [sunflower], who usually likes to use its stems to scratch the hounds that dart into the flower field. The rest are not a big problem.
"What are your plans for the future?"
I silently escorted Miss [Aisha] back to her studio. Standing a little distance from the door, I watched her float in through the wall, and suddenly remembered to ask her a question.
Miss Aisha turned back to look at me, somewhat puzzled. She stared at the ceiling for a long time, looking hesitant. "Hmm... I'm not sure what to say since you're asking this so suddenly. If possible, I'd like to paint more different kinds of paintings, wouldn't you say?"
"But what happened last time still scared me, and I'm still a bit hesitant."
The thing from last time... I think it refers to that [starry sky] picture, right?
That was indeed a situation far beyond my imagination. I couldn't react for a moment, let alone come up with a solution.
“But didn’t you say your drawing skills have improved?” I said. “I even suggested drawing images of the cats themselves before. Maybe the result will be different if we try again?”
"Besides, you didn't do that intentionally before. If all else fails, I can try to seek help from my mentor. There will always be a solution."
Miss Aisha lowered her head in thought, and after a long while she looked up and smiled, but gently shook her head: "Thank you for saying that. However, although I think you are right, I am still worried about the consequences of doing so. If something else goes wrong, it will be too much trouble for everyone."
She pointed to the studio next to her with its doors tightly closed, her face showing remorse: "Like this studio, in order to contain the potential impact of the paintings on the outside world, I had to trouble everyone to help me install isolation panels on the walls to absorb the impact, and we also specially adjusted the structure of the facilities..."
"This alone makes me feel very embarrassed."
Perhaps this girl was also an introverted and shy person who was worried about causing trouble for others when she was alive?
"But this kind of thing is actually very easy for us, isn't it?"
Suddenly, a cheerful voice rang out from behind me.
Turning her head to look back, Alice approached quietly with her hands behind her back, revealing a mischievous smile. Behind her followed Miyuki, who was covered in mud. Her fingers, resting on the hilt of her sword, flicked rapidly, as if she were pondering and analyzing something. Even her gaze was focused on her feet, and she seemed completely unaware of the conversation taking place.
Seeing that the focus was on her, Alice stopped trying to hide and quickened her pace, flashing past me like a silver streak of light. She darted behind Miss [Aisha], and with a simple touch on her shoulders, firmly pinned her to the spot.
Miss Aisha gasped and turned to look behind her, but Alice pinned her neck with two thumbs, effectively restricting her head's movement.
"It's okay, it's okay, don't worry about me, I'm fine~"
Alice smiled and raised her eyebrows: "Besides, you don't need to worry too much about that kind of thing. Anyway, everyone is usually quite idle, and we're all happy to be able to help out occasionally."
"I don't think anyone in this house is idle," I retorted.
Yao was busy searching for information, although he hadn't found any new information for a long time; Lena had just finished building the sandbox defense facilities and was preparing to study and update the dragon rider system that could be used in normal battles; Hikari didn't have anything particularly important to do, but the two little ones often ran to her seeking care such as petting and scratching her, and occasionally she would take on the work of a cook, or I would drag her to study the feelings and changes after opening the ring, and her days were exceptionally fulfilling.
The fairies who have been living here for some time are reportedly preparing to improve the landscape of the miniature garden, which will solve the problem of the barren lawn that can be seen all around in the future. As for Miyuki, who has temporarily moved in, she is busy sparring and practicing with Alice today, or leading me in some physical training when I am slacking off, so she can't be said to be idle.
There's also Miss [Aisha], and the core spirit who dwells in the Endless Sea. The former is busy controlling her abilities to prevent them from having an excessive impact on the outside world, while the latter seems to be constantly regulating the water quality and flow around the boundary of the miniature garden.
