"Ah, you're bringing things back, right? That's easy."
The flower fairy waved her hand behind her and snapped her fingers. Soon, crisp vines swayed and extended from the flower bushes, gently wrapping around the slowly falling polyhedron, fixing it in place, and then slowly dragging it backward.
"Hmm, it's a bit difficult, it will take some effort."
Avoiding the excited Feifei who sidled up to me, the flower fairy landed on my other shoulder: "Would you mind waiting a little longer? Things that are too big are not easy to move."
I nodded: "Just make sure it's intact."
It's just a matter of expending a little more magic, and I happen to have a lot of magic fragments that I've recently acquired. Although the conversion efficiency is starting to decline over time and due to physical fatigue, it's not unsustainable.
The flower fairy nodded happily after receiving an affirmative answer: "That's good. Do you have anything else to do now? Don't worry about us."
"I don't know how you did it, but the doors here seem to be the kind that close automatically once the work is done, right? I feel safe with that."
Just as she analyzed, when I started the sandbox, I specifically set up a mode where the door would close after the designated task was completed. This was not only to prevent unexpected events from happening after the task was finished, but also to prevent prolonged use from attracting anything unpleasant.
After all, actively opening the door to the miniature garden is like coming home without closing the door, or actively broadcasting your home's coordinates, constantly stimulating the void and the deeper abyss where you are. Those alien objects that are touched will inevitably be awakened from their slumber or activity and then cast their gaze upon you.
It might be alright in the short term, but as time goes on and the stimulation intensifies, even with my current defensive measures, I will still attract the attention of some dangerous and unusual entities.
Without much pretense, I nodded again, thanked her for her cooperation, and turned my gaze to the other side.
The endless blue water quietly churned with white foam, and as I watched, a tiny, translucent object gradually rose to the surface.
It is the core spirit that I forcibly took away from Mermaid Harbor during the great tide.
The little creature remained in the same human-bodied, fish-tailed form as before. However, compared to the beginning, its appearance was now much clearer, and its petite, transparent body had expanded further. Its supple figure revealed the youthful innocence of a young girl, but it didn't draw much attention. Instead, one would subconsciously want to sigh because of the way its delicate and beautiful fish tail rippled and slapped in the water.
That is something that is closer to nature than humans.
You're looking for me, aren't you?
This is a statement that does not require a response.
In order to achieve my goal, the first beings I sought out and conveyed my thoughts to were the flower fairy and the core spirit who were in the miniature garden.
I don't want to save humanity.
Then, the next moment, such a sound rang out from the shallow water, which was gradually rippling with unease.
Humans are greedy, foolish, and ignorant. They destroyed my home and hurt my friends. I hate humans.
"But I need your help."
I looked at it earnestly, then looked away, directing its gaze toward the avalanche that was getting further and further away.
That was a disaster that I was completely unable to stop, one that was constantly unfolding.
The countless snows piled up on the fragile yet solid mountain shell, after the internal supporting framework completely collapsed, constituted a disaster that ordinary people could hardly withstand. Even a master sorcerer who was skilled in this art, even if he gathered hundreds or thousands of people, could not resist the might of nature itself.
Even if the Frost Tower Master were to activate the ring at full power, he would likely be defeated in a panicked and powerless manner by such a sudden onslaught of violence.
"While there are indeed many people in this world who are as repulsive and unbearable as you think, you can't completely deny that there are also a few kind and innocent people in some corner of the world, right?"
Even though I'm just blatantly lying, I'm not seeking validation from it now, but rather to leverage it. Therefore, all I need to do is shake it a little: "Besides, if this city were submerged, the melted snow would mix with rotting debris and flow into rivers and streams in the spring, eventually converging on your original hometown... Do you want your hometown to be polluted again as a result?"
Its crystalline form swayed continuously, ripples emanating from within, revealing a distinct wavering.
Then, after a brief silence, and after my gaze shifted back and forth between the torrential snowfall behind me and my face several times, the core spirit once again erupted with a sound that shook the air:
[...As expected, I hate you!]
Its translucent body leaped from the shallow water, slapping its tail as it swept past me, taking away the magic I had entrusted to it. It took a deep breath, gathering the scattered magic from the surrounding area, as if swimming in an invisible sea of air, hovering lightly and mysteriously in mid-air, its body radiating a faint blue light.
The falling snow also shimmered with a faint, ethereal blue hue, abruptly halting in mid-air. The portion that touched the ground was forcefully ripped off, melting cleanly into icy water that once again spilled over the city.
A grand curtain of rain fell, playing a bright and cheerful melody. The water that could reach the ground did not accumulate within the city limits, but instead flowed into the ground through the cracks in the quietly thawing mud and brick slabs, or simply rushed out of the city gates along the major roads, bumping against the ankles of the panicked residents.
