Chapter 112 Provence.

Chapter 112 Provence.

"Ru Feng, which of these wedding planning styles do you prefer?" Quan Zhilong replied to everyone's blessings and concerns, and just then saw that his assistant had sent some information about teams specializing in outdoor wedding planning. He couldn't help but move closer to An Ru Feng, who was looking for her pajamas.

An Rufeng looked at them carefully and selected a few: "I think these are good. My parents and I will start traveling in China next month, so the distance won't be so far. We can go and see them together."

Anru Feng and Quan Zhilong want to get married next spring, which is about a year away. Actually, booking the wedding planning six months in advance usually gives them plenty of time.

However, time was passing slowly, and they didn't know if they would have enough time. Anru Feng still had many things she wanted to do with her parents, and Quan Zhilong was also very busy. So the two of them started preparing for the wedding earlier and had more time.

Kwon Ji-yong nodded and asked his assistant about the specifics of the wedding planning. An Ru-feng then went into the bathroom.

After finishing his conversation with his assistant, Kwon Ji-yong went into the bathroom.

Anru was taking a bath, leaning against the edge of the tub, her long, dark hair piled high, with a few playful stray hairs falling over her shoulders.

Hearing the door open, An Rufeng turned around and glanced at it. Glistening water droplets slid down her neck, paused briefly at her collarbone, and continued to slide down.

Without thinking, Kwon Ji-yong took off his clothes, walked into the water, and kissed An Joo-pung.

Anru's damp arms embraced Quan Zhilong's burning back.

Quan Zhilong's cold fingers, chilled by the air conditioning outside, brushed across An Rufeng's smooth shoulder, causing her to shudder.

...

"Rufeng, grant me one wish..."

"Hmm...what?"

"I want..." A deep, husky voice approached An Rufeng's ear.

An Rufeng smiled and said, "Make three wishes. They... can all come true... But I also want to... make a wish."

Make 366 wishes, and I will grant them all for you.

"Hmm, 366?" An Rufeng sighed. "It seems like the first thing I wanted you to do didn't happen..."

"Hmm?...What is it?"

"A collection of 366 songs by Da Cheng".

Kwon Ji-yong chuckled softly: "Mi-nae, the album world's 'Remembrance of Things Past' didn't achieve that."

Kwon Ji-yong kissed An Ru-feng, gazing at her, "366 wishes every year, let me write your life's 'Remembrance of Things Past'~"

An Rufeng propped herself up and kissed Quan Zhilong's lips.

...

Every year from June to August is the season when lavender is in full bloom. Anjou and her husband had already been in Florence for a while, and the day after the proposal, they set off for Provence for a vacation.

Anru Feng and her group stayed at a seaside resort in Provence, where they could see off-the-beaten-path lavender fields and experience seaside attractions.

During the day, they went out to play separately, with Anru Feng and Quan Zhilong acting alone. In the evening, they would drink and chat together in the courtyard.

"I wish I could stay in this time and space forever," An Rufeng sighed as she looked at her father, Quan Zhilong, and Tang Yu, who were drinking, chatting, and singing in the distance.

My family, loved ones, and friends are all here.

Hearing this, An's mother paused for a moment and said, "Mom also hopes so... but..."

This is the old timeline. What will happen to your real world? You're stuck in the old timeline, forever maintaining the body of a 26-year-old...

Anru Feng knew what her mother had left unsaid.

Neither of them spoke again, remaining silent. Mother An opened her mouth as if to say something, but ultimately said nothing.

Kwon Ji-yong spent a few days in Provence with Anjou and the others before returning to work.

An Rufeng saw Quan Zhilong off. On the way there and back, she passed by the sea. On the way back, she found a place to park and got out of the car to take a walk on the beach.

As the sun slowly sank below the horizon, it painted the sky with a blend of orange and violet hues.

Anru Feng leaned against the railing by the sea, the salty sea breeze brushing against her cheeks, the waves crashing against the rocks on the shore with a rhythmic sound.

Anjou stuffed a piece of chocolate into her mouth, and the bitterness and sweetness spread through her mouth at the same time.

She gazed at the distant horizon where the water met the sky, where the sun was slowly sinking, like a piece of amber being gradually immersed in water.

She felt a tightness in her chest, as if something was being forcibly suppressed deep within her heart.

"Woof."

A low bark interrupted Anru Feng's thoughts. A thin, brown puppy had appeared beside her at some point, carefully crouching down next to her, its bright black eyes fixed on the chocolate in her hand.

"Are you hungry?" An Rufeng squatted down, the puppy's tail wagging gently, its wet nose almost touching her palm, its amber eyes filled with hope and expectation.

Anru only had some chocolate on her, and since dogs can't eat chocolate, she got up and walked towards the convenience store not far away.

The puppy followed Anru closely.

The convenience store owner was a kind old man. He saw the chocolate in Anru Feng's hand, and then looked at the little dog peeking out from behind her. He smiled knowingly.

"It's that again." The old man shook his head.

An Rufeng looked outside the store in confusion. The puppy was clinging to the glass door of the convenience store, staring at her longingly.

“This dog really loves chocolate,” the shop owner explained as he took a piece of dog jerky from the shelf. “But chocolate is poisonous to dogs. Every time it steals some, it gets sick. Its owner has several puppies, and it discovered that if it gets sick from eating chocolate, it gets all the attention and love. So, it started doing it all the time.”

The old man handed the jerky to Anru Feng and shrugged. "It's eyeing the chocolate in your hand. You can try this jerky. If it doesn't want it, you can return it."

Anru Feng took the dried meat and walked out of the convenience store.

The sun had already sunk below the horizon, and the sky was a deep blue-purple.

When the puppy saw Anru Feng come out, it immediately wagged its tail and ran over.

Anrufeng offered it some jerky, but it just sniffed it and then looked longingly at the chocolate in Anrufeng's hand.

“I don’t want this,” Anru Feng squatted down, held up the chocolate, and offered the jerky to him. “I’ll eat this.”

The puppy didn't even glance at the jerky; its eyes followed the chocolate in Anjou's hand. Its tail wagged even harder, its wet black nose twitched incessantly, and its eyes shone brightly, filled with a stubborn longing.

Anru Feng put the chocolate in her pocket, tapped the jerky, and said, "Eat this, it's good for you."

The puppy tilted its head to look at her, its eyes dimming for a moment, but quickly brightening again.

It continued to stare stubbornly at the chocolate in her pocket, its tail drooping limply.

It even stretched out its front paws and gently placed them on Anrufeng's knees, tilting its head back and looking at her with an almost pleading gaze.

Anru Feng's heart suddenly felt as if it had been violently struck by something.

She suddenly felt like... this little dog.

She wanted to stay in this time and space forever.

But the Time God didn't want to, her parents didn't want to, and her friends didn't want to.

What she hoped for, what she longed for, was like chocolate.

She was a dog.

A dog that wants to eat chocolate.

No one would allow her to eat chocolate.

She wanted to eat.

Ignore her, let her be the little dog who's allowed to eat chocolate.

She is willing.

An Rufeng suddenly reached out and gently stroked the puppy's head, whispering, "I understand you."

She slowly stood up and took out a chocolate from her pocket.

I unwrapped the chocolate, took out the rest, and, with the puppy's bright, hopeful eyes watching me, resolutely stuffed it into my mouth.

The bittersweet taste spread in my mouth. Looking at the disappointed puppy, I said, "You are not me. I allow myself to have chocolate, but I cannot give you chocolate."

She bent down, tore open the jerky packaging a little, and casually put it down instead of placing it directly in front of it: "As far as I'm concerned, I have a different perspective when it comes to you. Be a healthy dog."

Anru Feng straightened up and watched as the puppy watched her finish the chocolate. It looked at her helplessly for a while, then slowly lowered its head and hesitantly sniffed the jerky.

Anru patted its head.

Although I don't fully empathize with you or support you, it doesn't mean I deny that your feelings are wrong.

However, there are some paths and challenges in life that we are destined to walk alone.

Although you may feel lonely and in pain, you will become the most independent little dog, knowing how to truly gain love and care, and learning to win affection in the right way.
