Chapter 16 Attending the Concert 8/31.09.01
Kwon Ji-yong was only a little late when he saw Representative Wu sit down next to An Ru-feng and even move his chair slightly towards her.
Of course, Representative Wu was also sensible and did not overstep his bounds, after all, Anru Feng was a woman.
Kwon Ji-yong walked over and patted him, signaling Representative Oh to leave so he could sit there.
Representative Wu remained unmoved and gestured for him to sit somewhere else.
"I have something important to tell Miss An."
Representative Wu was skeptical, but seeing that he didn't seem to be faking it, he eventually agreed to the change of position.
But before leaving, he patted the chair and made an X with his hands, indicating that he should not move the chair.
As he stood up, still worried, he whispered a reminder to Kwon Ji-yong: "Even if you don't like Miss An, don't move the chair! Maintain your usual gentlemanly manners!"
Kwon Ji-yong was stunned when he heard this.
When Representative Wu saw that he was stunned, he thought that he was unwilling, so he patted him on the shoulder forcefully.
Kwon Ji-yong snapped out of his daze after being patted on the shoulder, gave him a bright smile, and nodded to indicate that he understood.
Representative Wu was bewildered by his sudden laughter.
The next second, seeing that Kwon Ji-yong had pulled the chair back before sitting down, he couldn't help but widen his eyes. Oh! So it was just a prank laugh!
But Quan Zhilong had already firmly taken his seat, and he was powerless to reverse the situation.
Representative Wu sat down next to Quan Zhilong, but before she could say anything to him, Quan Zhilong had already turned to talk to An Rufeng.
He had no choice but to listen carefully to what they were saying, so that he could stop or salvage the situation if they said anything inappropriate.
An Rufeng subconsciously looked to her right as the chair next to her was pulled out, and saw that Quan Zhilong was pulling out the chair.
If you don't like her, why did you sit next to her? There are so many seats available.
An Rufeng subconsciously had this thought.
However, she didn't delve into it further. After all, she had already given up on the idea of making friends, so there was no need to dwell on it.
Just as she was about to turn her head, Kwon Ji-yong sat down and said to An Joo-fung with a smile, "You don't seem to like sitting too close to people you don't know well?"
If Representative Wu hadn't just reminded him, he would have overlooked the fact that, to others, pulling out a chair to sit down was a sign of displeasure.
I wonder if An Rufeng misunderstood that he had a problem with her?
An Rufeng was astonished upon hearing this and blurted out, "How did you know?"
She was completely baffled; how did he know she had this?
"I noticed you changed seats several times because of other people at the art salon that day," Kwon Ji-yong said with a faint smile.
An Rufeng didn't expect it to be that day; she hadn't even noticed.
Captain Da Cheng has such keen observation skills!
In that case, his keeping his distance from her at the salon and at the meeting was out of gentlemanly consideration, not out of open dislike.
If it's out of gentlemanly consideration, what was the underlying motivation?
Confusion resurfaced.
Anru Feng found herself unable to resist analyzing his behavior again.
It is friendly.
It's because they've been in the entertainment industry for a long time and have their own way of surviving. It's a habit that they won't show it even when facing people they don't like, and they can maintain a gentlemanly and polite demeanor when working together.
She knew herself well; if she figured out that his actions were simply friendly, she would take the initiative to express her willingness to befriend him.
Since that's the case, An Rufeng couldn't help but ask, "You seem to be very good at taking care of people?"
Upon hearing this, Kwon Ji-yong's eyes flashed. Had he started paying attention to him? Kwon Ji-yong slightly raised the corners of his mouth, revealing his white teeth.
"Taking care of others is a natural thing," Kwon Ji-yong, the push-pull master, blurted out unconsciously, then immediately regretted it. Don't think he takes care of everyone like that!
Upon hearing this, An Rufeng thought to herself, "It really is just a habit!"
"Especially for important people," Kwon Ji-yong quickly added.
Kwon Ji-yong's intention was to imply that she was very important.
Anru Feng's understanding is that it is his habit to be considerate and caring towards important people, and his business partners are important people, so he will take care of them.
I still can't figure out his attitude.
Anru Feng was straightforward throughout her life, and was also someone who was treated directly.
In her world, hate is hate, and like is like; whether someone is a friend or not is predetermined from the start.
At first, she completely ignored and blocked people she didn't like or who didn't like her. She never had the idea of befriending them, nor did she have the opportunity to do so.
For the first time in her life, An Rufeng had the idea of becoming friends with someone who initially disliked her, and she was conflicted.
She knows herself; she's very concerned about her image and minds when others reject her.
She is ruthless when rejecting others, but she can't stand being rejected in the same way. That's just how ordinary she is.
Therefore, it is something to be cautious about expressing the idea of befriending someone who has shown dislike towards you.
Moreover, those who had previously expressed their liking for her still coldly rejected her, let alone those who had expressed their dislike for her?
Anru Feng glanced at the distance between the two of them again.
He's such a gentleman, he should be able to refuse people tactfully, right?
If he's only being polite because of the collaboration, then since we're currently in a collaborative relationship, even if he refuses, it won't make her feel awkward.
An Rufeng hesitated before speaking, but Representative Wu, seeing that the dishes had been served, began to invite everyone to eat.
An Rufeng considered the occasion and realized that now was not a good time, so she put her mind at ease.
After finishing her meal, An Rufeng didn't continue with her previous plan. Courage is fleeting; once it's gone, it's gone.
She decided to ask Sakura again, to get to know him better, before making a decision.
After returning home, Anru Feng asked Yingzi again and searched for Kwon Ji-yong online. She found that his personality was too changeable and she couldn't understand him.
But I became even more curious about him.
That day, Da Cheng called.
"Aren't you busy preparing for the concert? This is rehearsal time, right? How come you have time to call me?" An Rufeng answered, smiling as she asked Dacheng.
"I'm resting. Did you receive your package?" Da Cheng's warm voice came through the phone.
"Received it, opening it now, what is it?" An Rufeng had just received a package from South Korea.
"It's concert tickets, Rufeng, why don't you come to our concert?" Dacheng said on the other end of the phone.
Anru Feng never goes to concerts. She doesn't want to be crammed with other people for so long. She frankly said, "I don't like being crammed with other people, so I won't be going. I'll watch your video then."
Daesung glanced at Kwon Jiyong next to him and said with a smile, "I know, Jiyong hyung told me that you don't like getting too close to strangers. But I think you like my voice, and hearing it live will definitely be a different experience."
At the end, Da Cheng's tone still carried a hint of regret.
Upon hearing this, An Rufeng also felt a strong urge to hear Dacheng perform live, as it would surely feel different.
Unfortunately, she couldn't take it after a few hours.
"Why are you giving me so many tickets?" An Rufeng opened the package and was surprised to find six concert tickets inside.
“Brother Zhilong saw that I wanted you to hear the live concert,” Da Cheng’s voice rose, filled with joy, “and he gave me two rows of three tickets each, so you can sit in the front row and watch the concert without anyone around you!”
An Rufeng's eyes widened in surprise.
Not hearing An Rufeng's voice, Dacheng asked on the other end of the phone, "What's wrong, Rufeng?"
An Rufeng snapped out of her daze and smiled, "It's okay, in that case, I'll go to your concert."
Someone as considerate and thoughtful as Kwon Ji-yong wouldn't embarrass someone even if he refused, right?
Anru Feng has made up her mind. When she goes to the concert this time, she will express her desire to make friends with Kwon Ji-yong!
Da Cheng hung up the phone, rubbed his face, breathed a sigh of relief, and smiled at Kwon Ji-yong beside him: "How about it, hyung, wasn't I right?"
Kwon Ji-yong patted him on the shoulder and nodded in satisfaction.
