Chapter 48 Roses 12/30.23.55
Kwon Ji-yong and An Yeo-feng sat facing each other, with steaming rice porridge, xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), and youtiao (fried dough sticks) on the table, emitting a fragrant aroma.
Kwon Ji-yong picked up a small steamed bun, put it in his mouth, chewed it, and exclaimed in surprise, "Mmm!"
After swallowing the xiaolongbao, Kwon Ji-yong couldn't help but ask An Ru-feng, "It's delicious. How did you find out about this restaurant?"
Kwon Ji-yong was surprised. He doesn't usually eat breakfast, but the staff prepares it for him. They have Western, Chinese, and Korean options, which he sometimes eats. He's also tried xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), but they don't taste as good as this.
He hadn't expected that the breakfast Anru bought would taste even better than the breakfasts ordered by the staff who knew the area well. He wondered if she had just ordered randomly or if she had done her research.
"Brother Li recommended this place to me. He ate at this Chinese restaurant yesterday afternoon," An Rufeng said, picking up her rice porridge, taking a sip, and then speaking.
When Brother Li arrives in a new place, the first thing he does is familiarize himself with the surroundings, gathering information on places to eat, drink, and have fun. These Chinese breakfasts were bought by Anru Feng from shops recommended by Brother Li.
Thinking of the all-powerful Lee G-yong, Kwon Ji-yong felt that it was understandable.
Having satisfied his curiosity, he put it aside and brought up another matter, saying with a smile, "Would you like to go out today? I'll go to the company this afternoon to rearrange some work, and after that, I'll take you out for some fun."
An Rufeng looked up from the rice porridge at Quan Zhilong and said with a smile, "I came here specifically to keep you company. You don't need to adjust your work. Just keep things as they are."
Kwon Ji-yong frowned and said resentfully, "You're leaving in a few days. If I don't adjust my work schedule, we won't have much time to spend together."
"Ah," Anru Feng suddenly remembered, and said, "I always felt like I forgot to tell you something."
Kwon Ji-yong was puzzled.
An Rufeng said with a smile, "I plan to stay in South Korea for more than a month, so we'll have plenty of time to spend together."
"Really?!" Kwon Ji-yong's eyes lit up instantly, both surprised and delighted.
Anru Feng nodded affirmatively.
Upon hearing this, Kwon Ji-yong's face lit up with an uncontrollable, radiant smile. He abandoned his breakfast, put down his chopsticks and steamed buns, walked around the table, sat down next to An Ru-feng, put his arm around her waist, and rested his chin on her shoulder.
"Very good!"
For more than a month, I could see her every day, and just thinking about it made me incredibly happy.
If it weren't for the fact that An Rufeng was eating, Quan Zhilong might have excitedly picked her up and spun her around.
An Rufeng picked up her chopsticks and fed him a small steamed bun, telling him to eat his breakfast properly, as his manager and assistant were waiting for him downstairs.
It was indeed getting late, so Kwon Ji-yong had no choice but to obediently eat his breakfast.
While overjoyed, Kwon Ji-yong couldn't help but wonder why An Joo-pung had suddenly changed her mind.
He glanced at An Rufeng, wondering if she had deliberately lingered for so long for him.
He glanced at An Rufeng again and said, "Why have you been staying in South Korea for so long all of a sudden?" His tone was flat, as if he were just curious.
An Rufeng was unaware that during the time she was traveling with her friends, he had mentioned countless times in their video chats that she spent less time with him than with her friends.
"Because you're in Korea, you've been staying here for so long. Not only do you miss me, but I miss you too. Wouldn't it be nice to spend more time with you?"
In love, Anru only needs a kite string made of love. This kite string only needs to be firm, holding her and giving her a place to belong.
She felt the strength of the kite string that Kwon Ji-yong had given her.
She saw herself as a kite string, Kwon Ji-yong's kite string.
Although Kwon Ji-yong didn't say it directly, she could sense that he didn't hide his emotions in front of her.
She sensed the underlying anxiety about their relationship hidden beneath his complaints, so she came, and she also made Kwon Ji-yong feel that the kite string was sturdy.
Kwon Ji-yong is like a kite that flies freely, supported by an unbreakable string, and will never fall.
Oh my god, how can there be such a precious existence as Anru Feng?
Kwon Ji-yong felt incredibly lucky. He hugged An Ru-feng tightly again, his sweet, childlike voice ringing out, "I love you so much!"
An Rufeng put down her cutlery, turned around and hugged Quan Zhilong: "Yes, I like you too!"
Kwon Ji-yong looked up and kissed her.
After dawdling through breakfast, Kwon Ji-yong pulled An Joo-feng to the dressing room to get her outfit suggestions.
Saying it was for her reference was really just a way to spend more time with An Rufeng. After all, An Rufeng's preferred style of dress is quite different from Quan Zhilong's. They're practically opposites: one is less is more, the other is more is more.
Kwon Ji-yong only needs to be paired with An Joo-feng, who can simply stand by and nod or shake her head. Although their styles are different, it's still pleasing to the eye.
When choosing accessories, Anru Feng saw a pair of sunglasses and became very interested.
These sunglasses have a simple and elegant overall design, with a matte black frame that looks very sophisticated. The lenses are a cool gradient brown, with the upper half being slightly darker to block strong light and the lower half gradually lightening to ensure clear vision.
Anru Feng picked it up and put it on; it was very light and comfortable to wear.
"Have you ever worn these out?" An Rufeng asked Quan Zhilong. The sun has been so strong lately that she always wears sunglasses when she goes out. If he had worn them out, she wouldn't wear them anymore, to avoid being seen by fans and the media and having any associations.
Kwon Ji-yong glanced at it and thought, "It's really good-looking."
He reached out and smoothed her hair, smiling as he said, "It's a new style gift from the brand; I haven't worn it yet."
As she spoke, she pointed to a spot where the accessories were placed, saying, "These are all items that haven't been shown to the media or fans. You can wear them."
Anru Feng nodded.
An Ru Feng wasn't planning to go out yet, but Quan Zhilong was ready to leave after getting dressed.
An Rufeng saw him to the door. When they parted, Quan Zhilong gently kissed An Rufeng's forehead and cheek, and then gave her a final, reluctant hug.
Kwon Ji-yong lingered, and An Ru-feng, having heard his phone ring several times, couldn't help but urge him to come downstairs quickly.
Upon seeing this, Kwon Ji-yong felt a subtle and strange sensation, as if he were a wife seeing her husband off at the door, experiencing a sense of peace and reassurance.
Urged on again, Quan Zhilong reluctantly went downstairs.
After Quan Zhilong left, An Rufeng also began to pack, preparing to go out as well.
She changed into her outdoor clothes, picked up the sunglasses she had just seen in the accessories section, and didn't plan to choose any other accessories. After all, most of Kwon Ji-yong's accessories were rather complicated and flamboyant, and she didn't like wearing accessories. The only thing she could use was the sunglasses.
Finally, he even took a fisherman's hat to shield himself from the sun.
Anjou rarely wears hats because they mess up her hair; she prefers her hair neat and tidy.
Anjou Feng may have been inspired by Kwon Ji-yong's frequent wearing of hats and sunglasses.
Anru Feng went out shopping today, buying some small items that she usually uses.
Having spent the past month traveling, even though Anru Feng loves going out, she needed to rest at home for a while. After finishing her shopping, it was almost noon.
After checking the distance to the filming location of Kwon Ji-yong, I found it wasn't far by car, so I bought lunch to feed him.
"Ru Fengxi went back? Why didn't you come in?"
Taeyang and Kwon Ji-yong were recording a program together. When they saw Kwon Ji-yong return after having his assistant distribute drinks to the staff, Taeyang couldn't help but ask with a smile.
Anru Feng and Brother Li couldn't carry that much, and the car couldn't hold it all, so lunch was only prepared for Quan Zhilong and Taeyang; everyone else got drinks.
Kwon Ji-yong opened the lunchbox and saw that it was full of his favorite foods. He couldn't help but smile and say, "These things were distributed in the name of friends."
Taiyang understood that there were many unfamiliar staff members on site, and with so many people talking, it was better that Ru Fengxi didn't come in.
"When are you going to take Ru Fengxi out for a meal?" Taiyang asked with a smile as he ate a pork rib.
"Let's wait until the others are free to join us."
During this period, the members have all had their own plans and are busy with their own things, some acting, some being MCs, and they haven't been able to get together for a long time.
Kwon Ji-yong and Taeyang often meet because Taeyang has featured in songs on his solo album.
"How long will Ru Fengxi stay in South Korea?" Taiyang asked.
"She said she missed me, so she's going to stay here for more than a month." Kwon Ji-yong couldn't stop smiling as he said this.
Taiyang was surprised.
When Zhilong and Rufengxi first got together, he asked Zhilong why Rufengxi didn't come to Korea with him, saying that if they came together, they could have come and had some fun in Korea.
He remembered that at that time, Zhilong's answer was that she had made plans with her friends to travel to other places.
At the time, he didn't think much of it. Later, because he and Zhilong met frequently, he learned more about their relationship. For a while, he was not very happy. Later, judging from the occasional phone calls he overheard, it was probably because Ru Fengxi spent very little time with Zhilong.
In his view, Zhilong needs freedom in relationships, like the wind that can't be grasped. He doesn't like his lover to be too clingy. But in this relationship with Rufengxi, Rufengxi is that wind. Even if she's not a free wind, she's a kite soaring high.
Zhilong was caught, but not in his hands; he was only in the distant sky.
In this relationship, Jiro is like a rose bound to the earth, needing the Little Prince's constant care, watering, love, and companionship. But the Little Prince isn't on his planet, nor does he have the intention of staying to water him.
He had previously been worried about their relationship.
Now it seems he can rest assured, the Little Prince is willing to stop and water the rose.
Taiyang looked at the lunch in his hand and smiled. Ru Fengxi still had a special feeling for her boyfriend, Zhilong.
Two people in the group are close to Ru Fengxi, and Zhilong has asked them for advice many times, so he knows Ru Fengxi quite well.
He was certain that if Ji-yong hadn't been just her friend and not her boyfriend, he wouldn't have received lunch like Ji-yong, and the staff wouldn't have had drinks either.
Ru Fengxi never reveals her social skills to unimportant people, even if that person is very close to someone close to her.
When An Rufeng got home, she wiped her phone clean with alcohol, then washed her hands very carefully. She even used a small brush specifically for cleaning nail crevices to scrub her nails thoroughly before touching anything in the house.
This is her habit, influenced by a doctor friend of hers, who never touches anything in the house without washing his hands after coming back from outside.
Anru Feng lived with her for a while and also developed this habit.
Anru Feng took another shower, changed into her pajamas, took a nap, and then discovered that a Bulgari designer had sent her an email.
Anru Feng commissioned Bulgari to create a birthday gift for Kwon Ji-yong, replied to the designer, and then went to her art studio to paint.
