Chapter 8 I like you. 8/18

Kwon Ji-yong slowly unfolded the crumpled paper in his hand.

Three words.

Anjou wind.

Tap leaned closer to take a look and exclaimed, "Wow! You've drawn Miss Anne!"

Kwon Ji-yong gently clenched the note in his hand and looked in the direction of An Ru-feng. An Ru-feng happened to look up and their eyes met.

When An Rufeng saw Quan Zhilong looking in her direction, a thought flashed through her mind: Could he have drawn her name?!

An Rufeng was astonished to see Quan Zhilong walking towards her and finally stopping in front of her. They had actually drawn each other's numbers; what a coincidence!

"It's an honor." An Rufeng handed the painting to Quan Zhilong and thanked him politely.

Kwon Ji-yong glanced at An Yeo-feng, paused for a moment, then took the painting and said he would keep it safe, which was pretty much the same as what An Yeo-feng had just told him.

Seeing the two being so polite to each other from a short distance away, Tap immediately understood what was going on and had an idea in mind.

After Kwon Ji-yong returned, he said, "Let's exchange paintings when we get back!"

Kwon Ji-yong was puzzled by his sudden thought: "Why?"

Tap said matter-of-factly, "You didn't even want to greet Miss Ann before, so you must not like her. There's no need to keep a painting by someone you don't like. Let's exchange them."

"No change." Kwon Ji-yong uttered two words.

Tape pressed, "Why?"

"That's impolite."

Tape persisted, "We made the exchange in private, who would know?"

Kwon Ji-yong simply ignored him.

After exchanging the paintings, the sun began to slowly sink, and the sky was tinged with gold. It was almost time, so everyone packed up their things and headed back.

An Rufeng walked slightly behind the others.

Suddenly, she noticed that the cookie wrapper in the pocket of the person in front of her had fallen to the ground. The person noticed it too, looked at it, and perhaps because they had too many things in their hands, ultimately did not pick it up.

Anru didn't want to pick up the things on the ground.

She stepped forward and gently poked the man's shoulder with her finger.

The man stopped and turned around, recognizing An Rufeng. He smiled and asked, "Miss An, what's the matter?"

An Rufeng took some things from the man's hand and tapped the biscuit wrapper on the ground with her toe: "This trash will feel lonely and isolated if left alone in the wilderness. It's better to take it back and put it with the other trash."

The man was taken aback by An Rufeng's sudden action, but after hearing her words and looking at the trash on the ground, he smiled. He was now able to pick up the trash and said, "Okay! I'll definitely put it in the trash can so it has some company."

An Rufeng saw that he had carefully put the trash into his pocket, returned his things to him, nodded slightly, and said nothing more.

It was already dark when we returned to Kenichi Hirayama's villa.

Kenichi Hirayama also prepared a dinner party, which everyone attended.

The dinner party was a pleasant affair, and then it ended.

When Anru Feng and Nara Mei arrived at the parking lot, the white Bentley that was one car away from her looked somewhat familiar, but they didn't pay much attention to it.

"Miss An, what a coincidence." An Rufeng and Nara Mei were about to get into the car when they suddenly heard someone call her. They turned around and saw that it was the man who had thrown away the trash that afternoon.

An Rufeng didn't speak, but nodded slightly to him as a greeting.

The man asked, "Miss An, may I have your phone number?"

An Rufeng refused outright: "I'm sorry, no."

The man was disappointed, but his voice was sincere as he said to An Rufeng, "I like you a little, and I really want to get to know you."

"Sorry, I'm not interested in you," An Rufeng said again.

Seeing An Rufeng about to get into the car, the man hurriedly said, "You are so beautiful, and this afternoon, I was really, really smitten. Please, please give me a chance to pursue you!"

An Rufeng stopped what she was doing and looked him up and down.

The man stared at her longingly.

An Rufeng smiled, her eyes filled with indifference and contempt: "Tempted? You're tempted by something like that? You're so cheap."

The man's face turned pale instantly, his lips trembled slightly, and his eyes were filled with disbelief.

An Rufeng didn't give him a chance to speak. Her face darkened, and every word she uttered was like a dagger: "I would never be interested in someone like you for a hundred years!"

After An Rufeng finished speaking, she turned around and got into the car.

"So cool!"

"How awful!"

Two different voices rang out at the same time.

Kwon Ji-yong looked at Tap: "What's so cool about it?!"

Tap also looked at Kwon Ji-yong: "Where is it bad?!"

Kwon Ji-yong blurted out, "Wow! How can you not be moved by such beauty? Why are you so cold-blooded towards that person?"

“Miss Ann doesn’t even like him, yet he still pesters her. What’s wrong with being treated coldly?” Tapp retorted vehemently.

Kwon Ji-ryong pursed his lips and remained silent.

Tap suddenly turned his head and stared intently at Kwon Ji-yong.

Only after making the man almost feel uneasy did he put on a playful smile and say to Kwon Ji-yong, "Miss An didn't treat you like that, it's none of your business, why are you reacting so strongly?"

Kwon Ji-yong's indignant expression faded, and after a moment of silence, he explained, "It's just that I was standing up for that person who so cruelly trampled on their feelings."

Tap didn't buy his explanation. He glanced at him sideways, chuckled softly, and said half-jokingly and half-seriously, "I wonder if you're standing up for that person, or feeling wronged for your past self?"

Upon hearing this, Kwon Ji-yong's eyes flickered.

"You sound like you're complaining, you know?" Tape said, dropping another bombshell. "Or are you trying to woo Miss Ann, but subconsciously you're afraid she'll treat you the same way?"

Kwon Ji-yong's heart skipped a beat.

late at night.

Kwon Ji-yong was sitting at the table writing a song when suddenly, he closed the lyric book in a state of frustration!

Tonight, Tap's words were like a seed that took root and sprouted in Kwon Ji-yong's heart.

He was filled with frustration. Although Tapu was often unreliable and eccentric, he could sometimes say things that hit the nail on the head.

He had to admit that his interest in Anjou Feng did indeed go beyond that of a major city patron.

Otherwise, he wouldn't care that she treated him differently, wouldn't care that the phone number he had saved was different, and wouldn't care that he had no name in her contacts.

She wouldn't stop greeting him because he was cold to her, wouldn't be pleased because he didn't smile at her politely, wouldn't be happy because he didn't treat Tapu special, and wouldn't be unhappy because she and Tapu were treated the same.

If you only see Anru Feng as a sponsor or partner of the city, not someone you own, who would care about these things?

Her blunt rejection of others did indeed evoke unpleasant memories for him, and he felt a sense of shared sorrow. However, he wasn't one to meddle in other people's business. Normally, he would just glance at her, but he wouldn't hold a grudge over standing up for a stranger.

Perhaps, as Tapgo said, he subconsciously didn't want to be treated like that by her!

Kwon Ji-yong has always been very sensitive to his own emotions and can easily perceive them.

He may not like Anru Feng yet, but he is definitely very interested in her and has a good impression of her.

He was certain that if he let his feelings run wild, he would eventually fall for An Rufeng.

However, he didn't want to be with that type of unattainable beauty anymore.

His brows furrowed, and a strange sense of irritation welled up inside him.

Kwon Ji-yong casually lit a cigarette, held it lightly in his hand, but didn't smoke it. He pursed his lips and remained silent, expressionless.

In the swirling smoke, his silhouette appeared deep and aloof.

Kwon Ji-yong took a deep drag on his cigarette, the smoke swirling around his lips, his eyes revealing a struggle and inner turmoil.

After a long while, he stubbed out his cigarette hard, as if extinguishing the feelings in his heart as well.

He must never fall into the same pit twice.

His emotions have always been intense and passionate, but they also tend to dissipate easily.

They're not in the same circle and don't interact much. If they let things rest, their feelings for each other should fade easily.
