Chapter 45 Unbearable "You want to see?"

Chapter 45 Unbearable "You want to see?"

Mu Tingyu finally obtained the temporary right to stay in the third-floor room by resorting to blatant harassment and verbal threats.

She had noticed it before; there was a faint pine scent in Xing Ze's room, and even the bedding smelled the same. It was light and charming, and she liked it very much.

Xing Ze would occasionally have this scent on him, which, mixed with the scent of his shower gel, was exactly like catnip. Mu Tingyu would secretly sniff him every time she hugged him.

And for some reason, the quality of my sleep was much better when I slept in his bed than downstairs.

Could it be that Xing Ze is treating him differently, giving him a better mattress?

Mu Tingyu made a somewhat malicious guess, thinking that she would definitely take over two-thirds of the bed tonight and make him shrink into a corner.

At this very moment, she was clinging to Xing Ze, putting her little rabbit toothbrush cup and towel into the bathroom, placing them next to Xing Ze's toiletries.

The house was decorated in a minimalist style, and his room was no exception, with tiles everywhere and cool colors dominating the space.

Her pink bunny cup and little towel immediately stood out when placed on the black marble sink, becoming the brightest star in the room.

Mu Tingyu casually arranged the handles of the two cups and the toothbrush in the same direction, then stepped back to look at them, and nodded in satisfaction.

The way they're displayed makes it clear that their relationship is anything but ordinary.

Xing Ze asked helplessly, "Are you planning to stay here permanently?"

Mu Tingyu was still clinging to him, and asked matter-of-factly, "Do you want to kick me out?"

"I wouldn't dare."

Mu Tingyu asked, "'Dare not' or 'Won't rush'?"

A smile appeared in Xing Ze's eyes: "I wouldn't dare."

She was still holding a change of clothes in her hand, and she directed Xing Ze to put her down so she could take a shower.

Xing Ze disagreed: "No, the wound can't get wet, it'll easily get infected."

After a whole night of tossing and turning, Mu Tingyu felt sticky and couldn't fall asleep without taking a shower. So she said, "You're someone who takes three showers a day, do you really think I can go to bed without showering?"

Xing Ze didn't even blink: "Yes."

"..." Mu Tingyu overestimated the man's bottom line. She tugged at her clothes uncomfortably. "But I feel so uncomfortable. My hair is probably covered in dust. Let me wash it, or I'll die."

She assured him, "I'll just rinse it off quickly, it won't affect the wound."

Xing Ze still disagreed: "Wipe it with a damp towel."

Finding it troublesome, Mu Tingyu casually said, "You wipe it for me?"

Xing Ze hummed in response, his voice sounding perfectly natural.

Mu Tingyu stared at him for a few seconds, then pushed him away, saying, "I don't need you. Get out."

Xing Ze was used to her timid demeanor. He took a cane from outside the door and handed it to her, saying, "Be careful. Call me if you need anything."

Then, as if she was particularly worried about her, she added, "Don't secretly rinse it with water; I can hear you from outside."

Mu Tingyu: "..."

Why is it that this man can always accurately read her thoughts whenever she is thinking?

"Okay, okay, you can get out."

Upon hearing this, Xing Ze took a step, but his gaze remained fixed on Mu Tingyu, watching her awkwardly move towards the sink with her cane, her posture somewhat unsteady, as if she had aggravated some kind of wound.

His brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.

He walked over, told her to stand aside, and then stood in front of the sink to fill the sink with water, test the temperature, and soak a towel in it. After making sure she didn't have to move around in the room anymore, he closed the door and left.

Mu Tingyu slowly took off her clothes, leaving only her underwear, and then put her hands into the water.

The water was just warm, the perfect temperature to dampen a towel and feel comfortable on your body.

Her hands were mostly bruised, with bluish-purple marks on her fair and slender fingers. There were no abrasions, and the water didn't hurt much; in fact, it felt quite comfortable.

She couldn't resist soaking for a while longer when she suddenly heard Xing Ze's voice coming in from outside: "Why haven't you started washing yet? The water will get cold soon."

"......"

He really wants to control everything. Can't she just heat up the water if it gets cold?

They really treated her like a child.

Mu Tingyu replied helplessly, "I'm getting ready to shower. I was just taking off my clothes."

Upon hearing her reply, Xing Ze leaned back against the wall by the door and looked down at his phone screen.

Zhuang Ren sent him a message, inquiring about Mu Tingyu's situation.

He typed a few words, and a reply came back quickly.

He glanced at it casually, without looking closely.

[X: It's not convenient for her to attend classes given her condition. Let's wait until she's fully recovered.]

Zhuang Ren quickly agreed and then sent another message: Brother Xing, can I visit Teacher Mu after my class tomorrow?

Xing Ze frowned.

[X: She needs to rest.]

Zhuang Ren sent a sad kitten emoji and said: Okay.

This emoji is from the same series as the ones Mu Tingyu often uses, which made Xing Ze frown.

Mu Tingyu likes to use emojis when she sends messages. She almost always sends an emoji that fits the context after every few sentences. The most common one she sends is this cat series.

When he saw it, he thought the kitten looked quite like her, both with a clever, peek-out look, which made the text bubble seem even cuter.

I don't know if young people nowadays like to chat like this, but he never sends emojis, at most he'll use a punctuation mark.

From this perspective, Mu Tingyu and Zhuang Ren, being of similar age, seem to be more in sync.

A sense of annoyance naturally rose in his heart, and the meme also suffered as a result, becoming disliked as well.

Doesn't this kid have his own set of emojis? Why does he have to use the same ones as Mu Tingyu?

Just as I was thinking this, I heard Mu Tingyu's voice coming from inside.

"Xing Ze—I forgot my sanitary napkins, could you get them for me?"

He casually answered and stuffed his phone back into his pocket: "Where is it?"

"I need the one in the blue bag in my suitcase, the one with '420' written on it!"

He went downstairs and into Mu Tingyu's room, where the small suitcase was placed against the wall.

The zipper wasn't zipped up, and the top half of the box was just loosely attached; he lifted it open with a single move.

—Then, several pieces of fabric spilled out of a loosely zipped bag, following the force of the movement.

Small, triangular, made of pure cotton.

It is also printed with cute little flowers of different shapes, and the edge is a circle of translucent white lace.

"......"

Xing Ze stared at it for two seconds, then picked up the few pieces of cloth, which were no bigger than his palm, without changing his expression.

The soft cotton fabric, thin in his hands, blended with his wheat-colored skin, creating a subtle visual impact.

He slowed his breathing, gently stuffed the pieces of cloth back into the bag, and when he looked up again, his eyes had darkened.

He took out the "blue 420" she mentioned from the box, held it in his hand, went upstairs, stood sideways behind the door, and knocked twice.

Soon, the sound of a cane hitting the ground came from inside, and then with a "click," the door opened.

He stood behind the door, reached in and handed the things inside. Her surprised voice came from inside: "Why did you bring the whole bag?"

She quickly muttered to herself, "Oh right, you don't understand this either."

She closed the door behind her, and as she walked away, leaning on her cane, she kept muttering to herself: "Huh, there are only two left. It seems we're out of overnight pads. I need to buy some..."

Xing Ze stood still, staring at the doorknob.

She didn't lock the door.

He thought to himself, "It wasn't locked at all."

The sound of water dripping and the soft rustling of a towel against skin could be heard from inside.

The sound wasn't so obvious before, and he hadn't paid attention to it. But after going down there and coming back, it became impossible to ignore.

The faint, subtle friction sounds kept coming, amplified infinitely, and rang clearly in his ears.

Separated by a door, he stood there, suddenly feeling restless.

-

Avoiding the wound, Mu Tingyu carefully wiped her body until she was completely dry before changing into her pajamas.

She opened the door and immediately saw Xing Ze with his hands in his pockets, leaning casually against the wall, his eyes downcast, seemingly lost in thought. He didn't even hear her open the door.

"I'm done washing."

The man shifted his body and stood up straight: "Let me see."

"?"

Mu Tingyu stammered, "Look...look at what?"

Meeting her gaze, which held a hint of confusion and oddness, Xing Ze paused for a moment before saying, "...Take a look at the wound."

Mu Tingyu slowly said "Oh" and replied, "No need to look, I didn't encounter it."

Xing Ze ignored her, pulled her arm and looked her around, then squatted down to look at her exposed calves.

Watching his proper movements, Mu Tingyu suddenly reached out and lifted a corner of his clothes, revealing the abrasion on his side: "Look, it's fine here too, the gauze isn't wet at all."

Xing Ze was still squatting there. He looked up and his gaze naturally followed her movements, landing on a certain spot. He suddenly paused.

He quickly looked away, restraining himself from looking elsewhere, and examined the gauze.

Then, taking her hand, he lowered her clothes, smoothed them out, and said in a calm tone, "Go to sleep."

Mu Tingyu suddenly remembered what she had come out to say to him: "I want to wash my hair, but it will take a while. Why don't you wash yours first?"

Xing Ze stood up again, his gaze fixed on her face, deep and serious: "You can't wash your hair during your period."

Mu Tingyu was surprised that he still remembered this: "It's okay, it's the fourth day now, you can take a shower."

How many days does your period usually last?

"Huh?" Mu Tingyu looked at him in surprise. "You actually knew... about five or six days?"

"Then you can shower after this is over," he said firmly. "Go to sleep."

Mu Tingyu immediately protested with some dissatisfaction: "But I haven't washed my hair for so many days, it's all oily!"

"Not oily."

As if to prove the truth of this statement, Xing Ze reached out and patted her head.

Then, as if reluctant to leave, he moved his hand down her neck, down her back, down her waist, and finally lifted her up by her legs.

Mu Tingyu shuddered at his movement and only realized what was happening after she was airborne.

"Why......"

Her cane stood alone in place.

"I didn't say I wanted a hug this time..."

Mu Tingyu leaned on Xing Ze's shoulder, watching the cane recede into the distance, and reached out her hand to grasp it futilely twice.

Xing Ze gently pulled her into his arms, his voice slightly hoarse: "Yes, I want to be held."

He carried her to the bedside and gently placed her under the covers.

The bedding was very soft; she felt as if she were sinking into a bed of cotton, surrounded by a unique, light pine scent.

She was still thinking about washing her hair, so she quickly grabbed Xing Ze's clothes and looked up at him.

The girl had just washed her face; her hair was still wet on her forehead and around her ears, and there was some face wash foam that she hadn't wiped off.

Xing Ze grabbed a tissue from the bedside table, wiped her down around the bed, absorbed the moisture, and then threw the tissue into the trash can.

Mu Tingyu forgot what she was about to say and asked him instead, "Do you want to take a shower?"

Xing Ze hummed in agreement.

"...So, are you changing your clothes here?"

Xing Ze paused, glancing at her.

Only a small bedside lamp was on in the room, and her eyes sparkled in that light, as if she had only asked a very simple question.

He spoke slowly, "You want to see?"

Mu Tingyu was taken aback by his answer.

The image involuntarily flashed into her mind, and she couldn't help but smile, her tone light and cheerful: "Ah? Is that okay?"

Before he could speak, she answered for him, "I've already touched it, so there's no big deal if I look at it again, right?"

Xing Ze narrowed his eyes, looking at her audacious little face, and after a while, he chuckled softly.

The next second, he grabbed the back of his neck by the collar and ripped off his clothes.
