Chapter 78 Trapped – “Don’t rush, we’re working on it.”

In October, spring is in full bloom in the Southern Hemisphere, and all things in the world are awakening from the silence of winter.

The climate is mild and comfortable, with plenty of sunshine. Low bushes are covered in wildflowers, and antelopes and ostriches stroll leisurely in the wilderness of the reserve. The air is filled with the salty smell of the sea and the fresh scent of nature, and every breath carries the taste of spring and the ocean.

The Cape of Good Hope, a place that retains its pristine wildness in spring, a place where the soul can converse with nature.

The sea breeze is the eternal master here. Standing atop the cape, the dark green waves roll up white foam, surging towards the shore like a tidal wave, crashing against the huge reefs and making a mesmerizing and liberating sound.

Here, there is never a shortage of tourists coming one after another.

A bustling yet ordinary day has passed. The sun is nearing the horizon, the streets are bathed in the magical light, and the streetlights light up one by one, outlining the soft contours of the city.

The kapok trees are in full bloom, exuding a faint, sweet fragrance that mingles with the lively aroma of Braai wafting from roadside stalls. White houses and brightly colored buildings stand side by side, and pedestrians slow their pace. People of different skin colors chat idly on the street, speaking English in various accents.

The roadside stalls are of all kinds, including many souvenir stalls, and the dark-skinned stall owners sway their bodies leisurely to the beat of the radio.

With a light exclamation, a girl in a brightly colored printed long dress came to the stall and greeted the stall owner with a smile in English, saying "Good evening."

Her black hair was wavy and fell smoothly down her front. Her slender, fair neck and wrists were adorned with stone ornaments with local flair, and her bright eyeshadow sparkled in the sunset.

The stall owner smiled kindly, not in a hurry to solicit business, letting the beautiful Eastern girl browse the stall with curiosity.

Finally, amidst the zebra-striped cushions, heavy ostrich eggshells, and various brightly colored pebbles, she picked up a huge bouquet of dried protea flowers, asked the price with a smile, and then took a banknote out of her pocket.

Just then, a woman's voice came from not far away.

"Listen—come quick! The concert is about to begin!"

"Coming!" the girl replied, handing the banknotes to the stall owner and saying with a smile, "No need for change, have a pleasant evening!"

The stall owner took the banknotes, his gaze following the girl holding the bouquet as she walked forward, meeting another girl with an Asian face. She leaned her head against the girl in the long trench coat in a coquettish manner, affectionately putting her arm around her and walking forward, her tone light and cheerful.

What did you buy?

"A bouquet of flowers, hehe! Isn't it pretty?"

"It looks great! Let's hurry, we'll be late! I bought ice cream, here you go!"

Thank you, Mumu, I love you~

They walked together toward the beach not far away. The biggest jazz festival of the year was being held there, attracting countless people; it was sure to be a night of revelry.

As the evening breeze blows, the jingling bells of the woven bracelets ring, and the hem of the printed long dress flutters in the air like a butterfly in free flight.

"Ugh, I'm so tired!"

Mu Tingyu, holding a glass of juice, sat down in the rattan chair and wiped the sweat from her brow.

"Hey! Don't use your hands, or your makeup will be ruined!"

The girl next to her quickly stopped her, grabbed a tissue, and gently wiped the water droplets from her forehead, exclaiming, "You have so much energy! You've been jumping around for two hours before you complained of being tired. Go and take a break!"

Mu Tingyu reached out and put his arm around her waist, smiling as he sent out his overflowing love through his eyes.

"Mumu, you're so nice—I really like you!"

"You really are..." The girl called Mumu tapped her head, both amused and exasperated. "Trying to be bisexual, huh? Did someone just ask for your contact information again?"

“Yeah,” Mu Tingyu’s eyes crinkled into crescent moons, “He asked for my Instagram, and I said I don’t use Instagram, I only use [redacted]. So I watched him look completely bewildered as he opened his search engine and frantically looked up what [redacted] was!”

Mu Mu burst into laughter.

Mu Tingyu smiled, leaned over and took a sip of juice, then squinted her eyes contentedly.

Judging by the time, she has been playing here for more than half a month.

She landed in Cape Town and explored the city thoroughly, visiting several must-see attractions listed in travel guides. For over ten days, she spent her time overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from Table Mountain, sunbathing with sea lions in a kayaking bay, and daydreaming about the sea and the Twelve Apostles in Camps Bay. Finally, she rented a car and drove south along Chapman Road to the Cape of Good Hope.

Mumu was a Chinese girl she met at the guesthouse. She had quit her job and was on a gap year, traveling all the way from Europe to here. The two hit it off and went to the lighthouse together, took photos in front of the sign, went to the penguin beach to see the penguins, and then stayed there peacefully for a week.

This place is so beautiful. Staying here makes you feel like the pace of life slows down. You just want to empty your mind, sit on a bench on the hillside, and be accompanied by an old tree that has stood for a long time, while gazing at the boundless sea.

"Hey Tingyu, with so many handsome guys, are you really not attracted to any of them?"

Mumu looked at the group of people dancing not far away and teased her with a smile, "I thought that one was pretty good. She has Italian curls and a great figure. Don't you like her?"

Mu Tingyu thought for a moment and said, "Really? I didn't notice."

"Wow, that white tank top and those pecs look pretty good!" Mumu laughed as she took a sip of juice. "You have such high standards."

Mu Tingyu looked at her and said with a smile, "That's because—my boyfriend has a great physique too."

Mumu choked unexpectedly.

"Cough, cough... Ah? You, you have a boyfriend?!"

Mu Tingyu smiled slyly and reached out to pat her on the back.

"Cough cough..." Mu Mu coughed for a while before she calmed down. "...I've never heard you mention this before! So why are you traveling alone? Where's your boyfriend?"

“He’s so busy.” Mu Tingyu sighed, feigning helplessness. “He’s so busy that he doesn’t have time to spend with me. He’s so busy that he leaves early and comes home late. He’s so busy that I’m left alone in my empty room—so I have no choice but to travel alone.”

"...Really?" Mu Mu asked in shock. "Are you that busy...?"

Mu Tingyu chuckled: "Oh, just kidding. But he is indeed quite busy, and I don't want to interfere with his work."

Mumu glanced at her smiling face and sighed, "Sigh, if I were your boyfriend, I would definitely tie you up and keep you by my side every day, not allowing you to leave my sight for even a second."

"Wow! You love me that much!" Mu Tingyu exclaimed in amazement, showering him with sweet words. "Then I'll dump him right now and be with you~"

"Don't forget him!" Mu Mu laughed and playfully hit her. "But it's been so many days, why hasn't he called you once?"

Mu Tingyu blinked, a little mischievously: "Because I blocked him~"

"Oh, is that so?" Mu Mu's eyes widened. "Did you two have a fight? Will he worry about you?"

"We didn't argue. I'll let him out every day, send him a message saying I'm safe, and then block him, so he won't keep calling me, hehe."

"..." Mumu said helplessly, "You're something else."

"He's so busy, I don't even have a chance to eat a meal cooked by him. He used to cook for me every day!"

Mu Mu looked at the girl in front of her, who was standing with her hands on her hips, speaking in a spoiled tone, clearly a bit arrogant, and shook her head with a smile.

Mu Tingyu waved her hand: "Let's not talk about him. Let's think about what fun things we can do tomorrow!"

Mumu thought for a moment and said, "How about going surfing? I just saw that they rent equipment over there."

"Great!" Mu Tingyu's eyes lit up. "Wow, that's right, this is a surfing paradise! How could I forget!"

Have you studied this?

"I guess you could say I've learned it? My boyfriend taught me, but it was only once, so I don't know if he'll remember it."

Mumu smiled and said, "It's okay, I'll teach you tomorrow."

Wow! Mumu, you can do everything! You're amazing!!

"Alright, alright," Mumu gently pushed away the head that was close to her neck. "Then let's go home early tonight and get some rest. Surfing is tiring."

Mu Tingyu took her arm and responded with a smile.

........

-

The sky is high and the sea is wide, with the sea breeze blowing.

The seawater at the edge of the cliff is a bright green, where the warm and cold currents of the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean meet, creating rolling waves that are magnificent and awe-inspiring.

The waves at White Beach, however, were much gentler. The bay embraced this crescent-shaped beach, the sand shimmering with a faint golden hue in the afternoon sun. The waves transformed into long, even white streaks, lapping against the shore in gentle waves.

Near the shore, a group of surfers had already gathered in the shallow water, floating in twos and threes on the surface of the sea. With the rise and fall of the waves, people would occasionally stand up and rush towards the shore, and a few joyful cheers could be heard from afar.

The air was filled with the faint scent of coconut and sunscreen wax, and the wood glowed warmly in the sunlight. Mu Tingyu stood in front of the colorful surfboards, hesitated for a moment, and then chose a black one.

Mumu had already changed his clothes and was walking towards her with an orange-yellow board in his hand.

"Why did you choose black? Sky blue would suit your skin tone and look better in photos."

"Hehe, no need, black is fine."

Mu Tingyu smiled and thanked the staff member who helped her tie the safety leash to the end of the board.

"Okay, let's go then. The weather is great today, and the waves are beautiful too."

Mumu went out first and walked towards the beach.

Mu Tingyu took off her flip-flops, picked them up, and went out the door with the board in her arms.

Under the shade of a tree not far away, a handsome white man who had just finished surfing was rinsing the sand off his body with fresh water. His wet surfboard was casually leaned against the tree, and water droplets slid down the board, leaving a small dark stain on the sand.

The scene was indeed quite pleasing to the eye. Mu Tingyu looked at his body proportions and thought he was particularly suitable to be a human model, so she took a few more glances at him.

The handsome white man noticed her gaze, looked up, smiled, and greeted her warmly, acting very familiar with her.

Mu Tingyu smiled back generously and casually complimented, "You have a great figure!"

The handsome white man had a sweet tongue: "Thank you, beautiful lady, it's an honor to receive your compliment!"

Mu Tingyu smiled and nodded at him before walking past him.

The girl was wearing a one-piece short swimsuit, and her exposed back and thighs shimmered with a crystal-clear white light in the sunlight, making her very dazzling.

His gaze followed her slender and graceful figure for a while, then he put down the water pipe and followed her.

But before he could get close, he was stopped by a strong gaze.

Not far away, a tall man stood with his arms crossed, staring intently at him.

He was already quite tall, but the man appeared to be a little taller. The man had the typical skin tone of an East Asian, but his prominent brow bone was prominent, though it was lowered at the moment, and his expression was hostile.

He paused for a moment, then smiled, which served as a greeting.

The man clearly had no intention of talking to him; he simply approached him and spoke in a low voice in English.

"—Don't make a move on her."

He was taken aback, then realized that "she" referred to the beautiful Eastern girl from earlier.

He instantly understood what was going on, and found it amusing. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why? Who wouldn't want to look at such a beautiful girl more?"

“This is my girl,” the man said coldly. “Take your eyes back.”

He feigned sudden realization, his charming eyes brimming with laughter, "So you're her boyfriend? Then why aren't you two together? Did you have a fight?"

"Such a beautiful girl, and you actually dared to argue with her? But that also means I still have a chance to pursue her, right?" He smiled brightly, his tone casual and nonchalant, typical of Westerners, his eyes gleaming with provocation. "Maybe tomorrow—I'll be her boyfriend?"

Upon hearing this, the man suddenly raised the corners of his lips, but there was no smile on his face.

"You can give it a try."

His eyes were icy cold as he warned, each word dripping with malice.

"Let's see if I can beat you to a pulp."

"......."

His expression was serious, and his imposing aura was almost overwhelming, making one feel somewhat dangerous.

The man was muscular and looked half a head taller than him. Besides, he was here as a tourist and didn't want to get into a fight for no reason.

He smiled knowingly and raised his hands in surrender: "--Okay, okay, sorry, I was just kidding."

The man then withdrew his intensely oppressive gaze, looked at him again, and turned to walk in the direction the girl had just left.

......

-

Mu Tingyu never expected that the waves here were not even in the same league as those in Shitang Village.

After testing the white waves a few times on the shore, she floated away as usual, letting Mumu lead her a little further in.

The sea breeze was strong, making it easy to lose your footing on the board; you needed considerable core strength to maintain your posture. But the most difficult part was the huge waves; the waves were very high and large, almost crashing into her face. She barely struggled before falling into the water with a splash.

In the end, she didn't stand on the board for more than a few minutes; instead, she swallowed a lot of seawater.

She lay on the board like a salted fish, bobbing up and down with the waves, while Mu Mu swiftly passed by her, her figure agile and graceful.

That's amazing...

Her gaze followed the direction, watching Mumu glide smoothly to the shore, jump off the board, and then swim back towards her.

"What's wrong? Why are you all wilted?"

Mumu gripped the edge of the board, wiped the water from her face, and her wet hair shimmered in the sunlight.

"Are you tired? Do you want to take a break?"

Mu Tingyu propped her head up: "You're amazing. When will I be able to tame my limbs like you...?"

Mumu couldn't help but laugh and comforted her, "Alright, alright, it's already great that you can stand up from the board. You've only been learning for a short time."

Mu Tingyu rested her chin on the board again.

"Why don't you go ashore and rest for a while? Go get some water."

Mu Tingyu's mouth was indeed filled with a salty and bitter taste, and her throat felt like it was on fire, so she nodded: "Do you want some?"

Mumu patted her head: "You drink yours, I'm not thirsty. Go on, go on."

Mu Tingyu responded, then lay down on the board and swam with her arms, slowly approaching the shore.

Let her take a sip of water before we start fighting! She refuses to believe she can't learn it!

The sun shone down, warmly baking the sea surface with a comfortable temperature. But it wasn't too hot at this time of year, and the wind carried a slight chill, especially after spending time in the water.

Mu Tingyu climbed ashore somewhat disheveled, and was instantly shivered by the sea breeze.

Her swimsuit was soaked through, hanging heavy with water, and at this moment it felt like a piece of ice clinging to her body.

But she still had to hold onto her surfboard, so she couldn't immediately hug herself to keep warm. She could only hunch over and walk towards the equipment room she had been in before.

There are long bath towels that Mumu brings; just go and wrap yourself in one.

As she was thinking this, she suddenly felt a large hand firmly gripping the back of her neck.

"!"

She jolted awake and instantly raised her hand to elbow him backward.

This is South Africa, not China. Human trafficking and robbery are rampant here. Although it's a tourist hotspot, teeming with visitors, who knows if someone might suddenly appear, knock you unconscious, and drag you away?

It happened in an instant; she couldn't think too much about it and could only instinctively make defensive movements.

But the person behind her seemed to have anticipated her movements, grabbing her elbow with tremendous force.

Mu Tingyu's heart was pounding; he was just about to use all his strength to hit him with the surfboard in his hand—

The next moment, her waist was firmly held, and a warm chest pressed against her back.

A familiar scent instantly enveloped me from behind.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she froze on the spot.

“”

The man gripped the back of her neck tightly and said in a low voice, "Why are you running?"

Upon hearing that voice, Mu Tingyu felt as if all her strength had been drained, and her legs went weak.

If it weren't for the arms around her waist holding her tightly, she felt like she could have sat down on the ground.

“............”

She struggled to turn around and saw Xing Ze's familiar features.

Only at this moment did she relax, reach out and put her hand on his shoulder, bury her face in his chest, and take a deep breath.

The man's embrace was broad and warm, completely blocking out the sea breeze, and the atmosphere made one feel incredibly safe.

...It scared her to death.

Her nerves and body tensed up and then suddenly relaxed, leaving her drenched in a cold sweat. Her mind went blank, and she couldn't come to her senses for a long time.

Xing Ze put his arm around her waist and asked in a low voice, "Say something, why are you running?"

"........"

What are you saying? What are you saying?

Why did this man suddenly appear here?

Shouldn't he be at the research institute, overwhelmed with data and reports, working late into the night? How did he end up here?!

When did he find her? When did he find his way here?

Was he trying to scare himself just now?

She was indeed terrified, trembling as she clung to him, completely losing her composure from the fright.

Thinking of this, she raised her head with some annoyance, but her heart was pounding.

Faced with the choice between "What are you doing here?" and "You scared me to death!", she chose to be stubborn and said, "Mind your own business!"

After she finished speaking, she felt a little cold and quietly snuggled closer to him.

Xing Ze ignored her provocation, just chuckled ambiguously, and picked her up in his arms.

"Why!"

The surfboard slipped from her hands, and she desperately tried to reach for it, but Xing Ze ruthlessly stopped her and held her firmly in his arms.

As she watched the surfboard recede into the distance, she yelled in his ear, "—My surfboard! It's rented! I have to return it!"

Xing Ze acted as if he hadn't heard her, and carried her toward the equipment room.

......

Ten minutes later, Mu Tingyu sat on a bench in the equipment room, her whole body wrapped in a thick white bath towel, holding a huge glass of juice in her hand, slurping it down with a straw, her expression very peaceful.

Xing Ze half-squatted in front of her, wiping her sand-covered feet.

After wiping one clean, she moved and lifted her foot to step on his knee.

Xing Ze didn't even look up, and slapped his hand.

She immediately preemptively retorted: "Why did you hit me!"

"Lift your foot."

"oh."

She obediently raised her other foot, letting him grab it.

Xing Ze lowered his head and carefully wiped away the sand particles stuck to it.

Mu Tingyu bit her straw, her expression unchanged, but she felt a little timid inside.

This man has been ignored by her for so long, all his messages have been blocked, and she hasn't even managed to make a single phone call... He's probably seething with anger right now, wanting to get back at her...

Why does it look so... peaceful now?

Logically, he should be extremely angry and want to pin her to the ground and beat her up—but from the moment he spoke until now, he hasn't said a single word to her.

What's most remarkable is that she didn't even get a flick on the head!

When she was caught, she thought she was doomed. She thought she would either lose her head or her backside; one of the two things was definitely going to happen to her.

Now it seems like they've managed to keep both?

Mu Tingyu felt a surge of excitement.

Is her training really that effective?

What other reason could make this man so docile? It must be because of what she said earlier! He promised he wouldn't try to control her anymore!

She couldn't help but smile. She was about to say some sweet words to coax this hardworking man who had returned her surfboard, bought her juice, and wiped her feet when she heard him suddenly speak.

"Don't you like me controlling you?"

What's the problem? Otherwise what?

Spoiled beyond belief, Mu Tingyu swung her leg while sucking on a straw, her tone smug, "I don't like it!"

Xing Ze lowered his eyes, wiped the last grain of sand off her feet, put slippers on her, and then gently raised his head.

"Okay, then from now on you'll be in charge of me, okay?"

Mu Tingyu didn't understand what he meant, and subconsciously responded with a "Hmm?"

Xing Ze tilted his head back, a slight smile playing on his lips, his gaze calm: "I've finished all my work ahead of schedule, so I can travel with you for a while. You can go wherever you want."

"........"

"ah?"

Mu Tingyu looked completely bewildered.

Huh? How come... suddenly... so much information...

What does it mean to say "I've finished my work"? What does it mean to say "I'll travel with her"?

Is he serious?!

Wait a minute! That wasn't her intention!

She was just joking, she didn't mean for him to stop working! Besides, she was just going to stay for a couple of days and then go back! Why all of a sudden...?

She opened her mouth, but found that no sound could come out.

"Didn't you say before that I was too busy to cook for you?"

Xing Ze reached out and wiped the salt off her cheek, his tone gentle, "Now I can be with you every day, and I'll make you whatever you want to eat, how about that?"

“”

Mu Tingyu swallowed hard.

What do you mean, "what can happen?" What else can happen?

This offer is incredibly, incredibly tempting...

"Are you serious?" she asked tremulously. "You're not saying this because you want to lure me back to China, are you?"

“Baby,” Xing Ze’s eyes lit up with a smile, “as long as you promise me that you won’t secretly go on long trips behind my back anymore, and that you’ll let me accompany you wherever you want to travel or go—I’ll cook for you every day, okay?”

In a quiet equipment room, colorful surfboards leaned against the shelves, gleaming in the sunlight. Mu Tingyu had her back to the window overlooking the beach, where the blue sky and white clouds were reflected in the man's eyes. And in the very center was her figure, wrapped in a bath towel and curled up in a ball.

He looked at her with a gentle smile, his eyes softening, like the most loyal knight awaiting her approval.

Seeing him like this, Mu Tingyu couldn't control herself at all. When she came to her senses, she found herself nodding unconsciously.

Xing Ze smiled and asked her, "Did you agree?"

"...I...I agreed..." Mu Tingyu swallowed hard. "You...you shouldn't smile like that..."

This man's laugh was simply too much; her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to echo through the heavens...

Xing Ze's smile remained unchanged. He straightened up, kissed her, and asked, "Go back to the hotel to take a shower? You're covered in salt."

Mu Tingyu replied blankly, "...Huh? Isn't this a place where you can...?"

“It won’t get clean here, baby. Let’s go back and wash up and change into clean clothes, then we’ll go eat.” Xing Ze kissed her again and said with a smile, “Are you tired from surfing? Come on, I’ll take you out for a big meal.”

"Huh? But...but..." Mu Tingyu was completely bewildered. "My friend is still surfing...and it's still early...how about we go eat later?...No...stop laughing..."

"How about we tell her on WeChat, baby? Okay?"

Xing Ze took her hand and pulled her up, his eyes shining with a warm, dark black light. "I was worried you'd get hungry later, so let's eat a little earlier, okay? Besides, I just got off the plane and came straight here without even having lunch. I really want to have a meal with you right now."

"........"

Mu Tingyu felt as if she had been struck hard in the heart.

She couldn't bring herself to refuse, and was led away by him in a daze.

-

......

Xing Zetiao's restaurant is located next to the exit of Cape Point. The restaurant looks very famous, with groups of tourists waiting outside.

But he seemed to have made an appointment in advance, as he led her in and sat her down in the best spot with the view from the floor-to-ceiling window.

Outside the window was a magnificent sea view. The sun was gradually setting, and the sky was a pale pinkish-blue, with a soft and beautiful halo.

She had just taken a few photos with her phone when the waiter brought the food to the table.

This place seems to specialize in seafood, complemented by various local specialties.

Fish cakes, served with butter and brandy, are grilled over charcoal and topped with apricot jam; minced beef, lamb, and fish are mixed together with curry, releasing the aromas of cardamom and cinnamon; Cape oysters, steamed sea bass, and grilled lobster follow one after another, along with Mu Tingyu's favorite shrimp. The prawns are large, their shells fried until slightly crispy and glistening with red oil, the sauce rich, a blend of garlic and chili with a bright lemon acidity, the sweetness of the shrimp meat perfectly complementing the sauce.

Mu Tingyu ate so much that she couldn't lift her head and almost choked.

Xing Ze handed her a wine glass, she took a sip, and then looked up in surprise.

"liquor?"

“Hmm,” Xing Ze looked at her and smiled, “South African white wine, chilled, it’s quite refreshing.”

She took another sip out of curiosity; it was slightly sour, and the alcohol flavor wasn't particularly strong.

Is the prescription high?

Xing Ze said, "Not high."

So she took another sip.

......

In the end, she was so full that she could barely walk, and when Xing Ze led her out the door, her face was flushed.

"I feel a little dizzy..."

She reached out her hand and hooked Xing Ze's little finger with hers.

Xing Ze put his arm around her, avoiding a group of people walking towards them, and said with his head down, "Well, let's take a walk and feel the sea breeze."

So they walked along the seaside promenade, which led them towards their guesthouse.

A sea breeze was blowing, and the sun was halfway down the horizon. The nearby sea surface looked like molten gold, while in the distance, layers of pink, purple, and orange-red spread out, like an overturned palette of paint.

Mu Tingyu excitedly took out her phone to take pictures, then leaned against the railing and looked at the man who had traveled a long way to be with her. She kissed him several times very sweetly.

She cheered and strolled along the road, pulling the man to look at the various writings on the rocks by tourists, touching the trees on both sides of the road, chattering incessantly until she finally quieted down after almost the entire journey.

Finally, he leaned against a street lamp next to the guesthouse and rubbed his head.

"What's wrong?"

Xing Ze put his arm around her waist and led her forward.

She smiled, her eyes crinkling, and playfully wrapped her arms around his neck, saying sweetly, "I'm a little tired~"

Are you still full?

Mu Tingyu touched her stomach: "I feel a little better."

Xing Ze hummed in agreement. "Do you want me to carry you?"

"No need, I can manage by myself," Mu Tingyu let go of him, took a few steps forward, and smiled at him under the streetlight in front of the guesthouse. "Look, isn't it a straight line!"

Xing Ze looked at her unsteady steps and said with a smile, "Yes."

As Mu Tingyu watched him approach, she suddenly muttered, "Don't smile... Your smile is too handsome, it's unfair..."

Xing Ze lowered his eyes to look at her, his expression gentle: "Don't you like it?"

"..." Mu Tingyu said honestly, "I like it."

How much do you like it?

"Hmm..." Mu Tingyu pondered for a while, "I really like it. This is the first time I've ever seen you smile like that..."

She reached out and lovingly touched his face.

Xing Ze kissed her, took the key from her pocket, and opened the door to the guesthouse.

Mu Tingyu followed him into the room, reaching out to turn on the light, but was pulled along by the waist.

Then, with a "click," the door closed and locked.

".....Huh?"

Mu Tingyu nestled against his chest, looking up with a puzzled expression: "Why aren't the lights on?"

Xing Ze didn't answer her, but simply reached out, picked her up, and walked forward.

It was pitch black all around, and Mu Tingyu's vision was blurry. The alcohol had clouded her consciousness, and she could only vaguely make out that it was the direction of the bedroom.

She paused for a moment and said, "Are we going to do something inappropriate for children?"

After drinking too much, she became unusually straightforward and frank in her speech. Xing Ze smiled, kissed her lips that still carried the sweet scent of alcohol, placed her on the soft bed, and then leaned down.

After taking a shower in the afternoon, she changed into a long dress, which was then lifted up and draped over her waist.

Mu Tingyu hooked her arms around his neck and let out a sensitive "hmm," her mind not quite clear.

She opened her sleepy eyes and looked at Xing Ze's calm expression, then nudged the corner of his mouth with her finger: "Why aren't you smiling anymore?"

Xing Ze did not answer her.

Before long, she looked up, trying to suppress the sound that was about to escape her lips, and tried to say something to distract herself.

"Oh right... weren't you going to cook for me? Why are we eating out again tonight?"

She flinched slightly, but insisted on finishing her sentence, "The guesthouse I booked is very big...it even has a kitchen I can use..."

Why aren't you saying anything...?

"......."

Soon she couldn't even speak anymore.

Xing Ze held her thighs tightly, and it took him a long time to raise his head. His dark eyebrows and eyes were moist.

The window was only covered by a gauze curtain, and the soft, pale moonlight filtered in, illuminating the edge of the bed.

He lowered his eyes, looking at the blood-pumping scene before him, his eyes filled with deep emotion, and said in a hoarse voice.

"Don't rush, I'm working on it."
