Chapter 101 Wait!
Pei Song was organizing the materials needed for the video conference while thinking about countermeasures.
At this moment, there was a gentle knock on the office door.
"Come in." Pei Song said without raising his head.
Lin Yuwei pushed the door open and walked in: "Manager Pei, there is a small change in the dance program for the annual meeting."
Pei Song raised his head: "What changes?"
"The original choreographer had something urgent to do, so we have to change him. The new teacher has a more aggressive style, and it is said that the choreography will be changed to be more challenging." Lin Yuwei frowned slightly, "I'm worried that you have just recovered, and it might be too much pressure."
Pei Song thought for a moment and said, "It's okay. I can take this opportunity to make a breakthrough."
"Then should I ask the new teacher to come over this afternoon?" Lin Yuwei asked.
"Okay." Pei Song nodded, "Please notify the others."
In the dance studio in the afternoon, the new choreographer was indeed as good as his reputation.
As soon as he entered the room, he began to drastically modify the movements, and the originally gentle choreography instantly became full of tension.
"This turn must be done quickly and neatly," the teacher clapped his hands as he demonstrated, "Your center of gravity should sink down, and then bounce up suddenly. Manager Pei, you try it."
Pei Song followed the music and tried his best to perform the movements to perfection.
Sweat slid down his forehead and wet the collar of his T-shirt.
"Yes, that's the feeling!" the teacher said excitedly, "Do it again, this time with the eyes."
Pei Song took a deep breath and swayed his body to the rhythm.
He deliberately magnified the arc of each movement to make the lines of the limbs smoother and more powerful.
After practicing for two hours, everyone was so tired that they lay on the ground gasping for breath.
"That's all for today." The teacher said with satisfaction, "Not bad, everyone has a strong ability to comprehend."
Pei Song wiped the sweat off his face and walked to the window to drink some water.
Through the glass, he saw Shi Yanchen standing at the end of the corridor, and he didn't know how long he had been standing there.
He suddenly had a bad idea and deliberately pulled up the hem of his T-shirt to wipe his sweat, revealing a tight waistline.
Pei Song pretended not to see him and turned around to pack his things.
He could feel the burning gaze following his movements.
When I walked out of the dance studio, Shi Yanchen was still standing there.
"How's the practice going?" he asked casually.
"It's OK," Pei Song said calmly, "just a little hot."
Pei Song unbuttoned his collar, revealing a small piece of his white neck.
In his peripheral vision, he clearly saw Shi Yanchen's fingers tighten slightly.
"Um," Shi Yanchen cleared his throat, "Are you free tonight?"
"Sorry," Pei Song smiled innocently, "I have to accompany MAX to have a physical examination tonight."
Shi Yanchen frowned slightly: "Do you want me to go with you?"
"No need," Pei Song said, "Don't you still have work to do?"
After saying that, he turned and left, a triumphant smile on his face.
The sound of Shi Yanchen's breathing coming from behind him made him feel particularly happy.
In the evening, Pei Songzhen took MAX to the pet hospital.
"MAX is very healthy," the doctor said, "but he is still in the adaptation period. I suggest you play with him more to enhance your relationship."
Pei Song nodded, hugged MAX's big black face and rubbed it: "MAX, we are the best in the world now, right?"
It was already past nine when I got home and my cell phone vibrated.
It was a message from Shi Yanchen: "Have you returned?"
Pei Song deliberately waited for a few minutes before replying: "Just got home."
"How did the MAX checkup go?"
"It's fine. The doctor said it's healthy."
"That's good." Shi Yanchen paused and sent another message: "Wait for me to come back tonight before you go to sleep."
Pei Song looked at the phone screen and deliberately waited for a while before replying: "No, MAX and I want to rest early."
"I have something I want to talk to you about."
"Let's talk about it tomorrow. You work so late and I don't want to disturb your rest."
Pei Song replied while holding back his laughter.
Shi Yanchen obviously saw that he was deliberately contradicting him, and after a long while he sent a message: "How about having lunch together tomorrow?"
"Okay," Pei Song smiled, "but it depends on the time of dance practice."
There was silence for a while on the other end, and then a helpless expression appeared.
Pei Song threw his phone aside and lay on the sofa contentedly.
MAX ran over and put his head on his legs.
"MAX," he whispered, "do you think I'm a little too mean?"
MAX tilted his head and looked at him with innocent eyes.
"Forget it," Pei Song said with a smile, "Let him also have a taste of the itchy feeling."
Pei Song went to bed early and was determined not to wait for Shi Yanchen to come home.
The next day's practice was more focused.
The new choreography is full of power and every movement is visually impactful.
Pei Song was completely immersed in the music, showing an unprecedented aura.
"Great!" the teacher said excitedly, "That's the feeling, both handsome and sexy!"
Pei Song guessed that Shi Yanchen was watching outside the door again, but he was so focused on his actions that he didn't even spare a glance at the other person.
After practice, he packed up his things slowly and heard Shi Yanchen's footsteps approaching.
"Do you want to go eat?" Shi Yanchen asked, with a hint of forbearance in his voice.
"I'm sorry," Pei Song said, "the teacher said we need to practice a little longer."
Shi Yanchen's expression suddenly became dangerous: "Did you do this on purpose?"
"What do you mean?" Pei Song blinked, looking innocent, "I was just practicing seriously."
After saying that, he picked up his bag and walked out, but Shi Yanchen grabbed his wrist.
"Pei Song," Shi Yanchen said in a low voice, "Are you hiding from me again?"
Pei Song struggled to get free, so he turned around and looked at him directly: "How could I! Aren't you working hard to prepare for the annual party performance?"
Shi Yanchen looked at him deeply, his eyes becoming more profound.
Just when Pei Song thought he was about to say something, the door of the dance studio was pushed open.
"Manager Pei, can we start?" the teacher's voice sounded at the right time.
Shi Yanchen had no choice but to let go of his hand, and Pei Song took the opportunity to slip in, leaving him alone standing at the door, looking at the figure in the dance studio with complicated eyes.
This week, Pei Song maintained this ambiguous attitude.
Sometimes he reveals a little flaw, and sometimes he pretends nothing happened.
Although the two lived under the same roof, their schedules were strangely out of sync and they seldom had the chance to meet.
In the company, whenever Pei Song was alone with Shi Yanchen, he could always find various reasons to get away.
He could clearly feel that Shi Yanchen's patience was gradually disappearing, and the gaze he was staring at was getting hotter and hotter, like a volcano that could erupt at any time.
On Friday afternoon, Pei Song was processing documents in the office when his cell phone rang.
It was from Shi Yanchen: "Come to my office tonight."
Pei Song thought for a moment and replied, "Okay, President."
Another message came immediately from the other side: "What did you call me?"
Pei Song smiled and typed: "Mr. Shi."
The other party was silent for a long time before sending two words: "Wait."
These two simple words made Pei Song's heart skip a beat. He knew that he might have to pay the price for his little tricks this week.
But for some reason, he was looking forward to it.
