Chapter 127 Family Gathering
"I heard that you run a restaurant in M University," Shi's father asked in a low voice.
Pei Song was about to answer, but Shi Yanchen spoke first: "We ran this restaurant together when we were in school, and now it's the best Chinese restaurant in City M."
Father Shi looked at the way his son was protecting Pei Song and nodded thoughtfully.
"Let's not talk about this for now," Shi's mother interrupted them, "Songsong must be tired after sitting in the car for so long. Come, I'll take you to your room." She turned to her son and said, "Xiaochen, I've asked someone to clean up your room for Songsong to live in, and you can live in the room next to him."
Shi Yanchen nodded: "That's right, my room has the best lighting."
Dinner was held in the dining room at home, and Shi's mother specially asked the kitchen to prepare a sumptuous meal.
It can be seen that in order to cater to Pei Song's taste, a few more Chinese dishes were specially prepared.
Father Shi would occasionally discuss recent changes in the financial market with Shi Yanchen.
Although he didn't say much, the approval in his eyes was obvious.
Pei Song noticed that he would observe his interactions with Shi Yanchen from time to time.
When he saw his son concentrating on serving food to Pei Song, his eyes softened significantly.
"Leon said you like Black Forest Cake very much," Shi's mother cut a piece of cake and placed it in front of Pei Song, "I made this myself, I wonder if it suits your taste."
Pei Song took a bite and his eyes lit up: "It's delicious, with rich layers of texture."
"I'll teach you how to make it," said Shi's mother. "This is the recipe passed down from my grandmother."
After dinner, Shi's mother took Pei Song to visit the collections at home.
From antiques to calligraphy and paintings, each piece has its unique historical value, but they are all naturally integrated into the home environment.
"This is Xiaochen's favorite painting." Shi's mother pointed to a watercolor painting in the study, which depicted the dusk on the Rhine River. "When he was a child, he always liked to sit here and read."
"This is when Leon was six years old, eating hotpot at his grandmother's house. It was so spicy that he had to stick out his tongue but he still had to endure it." Shi's mother dug out a photo of Shi Yanchen when he was a child.
Pei Song couldn't help but laugh. The frowning look of the little boy in the photo was exactly the same as Shi Yanchen's current look.
"Mom..." Shi Yanchen called out helplessly.
"Why don't you let me show Songsong what you looked like when you were a child?" Shi's mother said with a smile, "He is the only person you brought home."
Pei Song turned to look at Shi Yanchen and found that his ears were slightly red.
It was late at night. Lying in the room where Shi Yanchen grew up, Pei Song listened to the chirping of insects outside the window, thinking about what had happened today, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously rose.
This home was much warmer than he had imagined.
Especially seeing those rare expressions that Shi Yanchen showed in front of his parents made him feel both novel and warm.
The door was gently pushed open and Shi Yanchen walked in.
"Are you used to it?" He sat down on the bed.
Pei Song nodded: "Your parents are very good."
"They like you very much." Shi Yanchen said, "Especially my mother. I have never seen her so enthusiastic."
"Although your father looks serious, he is actually very gentle."
Shi Yanchen smiled: "You will know later."
The light sprinkled softly in the room, reflecting Pei Songqingjun's profile.
Shi Yanchen stared at him, and his heart couldn't help but beat fast when he thought that he was lying in the room where he had lived since he was a child.
He couldn't help but bend down and wanted to kiss Pei Song, but the other party pressed his lips with his fingertips.
"Are you hiding something from me?" Pei Song looked up at him.
Shi Yanchen was stunned for a moment, then raised his mouth: "Is there?"
"I just found out today," Pei Song said with a hint of helplessness, "I'm dating the boss's son."
"When did you find out?" Shi Yanchen asked with a smile, gently stroking his cheek with his fingers.
Pei Song rolled his eyes at him and said, "I've seen your father's photo in SNK's brochure! Although I'm face-blind to foreigners, you look so much like him that I recognized you at first sight."
Shi Yanchen paused: "So, you are angry?"
"No," Pei Song sighed and pinched his face, "I just think you always like to launch surprise attacks."
Shi Yanchen grabbed his hand, kissed his fingertips, and his voice became low and ambiguous: "Songsong, do you want to do something bad with me in this room?"
"Go away," Pei Song smiled and pushed him away, "How can I face people tomorrow if your parents hear me?"
"I didn't say I was going to do anything bad," Shi Yanchen leaned close to his ear and said teasingly, "What are you afraid of them hearing?"
Pei Song's ears instantly turned red, and he hit him on the arm without any hesitation: "You only know how to bully me."
"That's because you're too easy to bully," Shi Yanchen took his hand, "and the way I bully you is so cute."
"Get out," Pei Song buried his face in the pillow, "If you don't get out, I'll let MAX bite you."
"MAX is not here again," Shi Yanchen smiled, suddenly lifted the hem of his pajamas, and sucked hard on the warm waist.
Pei Song gasped and his body arched unconsciously.
"Good night." He whispered, looking at the red mark that had already appeared with satisfaction, then turned and left the room.
Pei Song was left lying alone on the bed, his waist still burning.
The next morning, Pei Song heard voices coming from downstairs.
He walked down the stairs and found that lunch had already been prepared in the kitchen and Shi's mother was directing the servants to set the table.
"Are you awake?" Shi's mother came over with a smile, "I invited a few relatives to come over for lunch. Would you like to have a cup of coffee first?"
Before Pei Song could answer, Shi Yanchen handed him a cup of freshly brewed American coffee: "Wake up, you will have to deal with it later."
"Xiaochen!" Shi's mother glanced at her son in annoyance, "What do you mean by coping? This is to let everyone see Songsong."
Shi Yanchen didn't say anything, but just stood beside Pei Song with a protective look in his eyes.
At noon, guests arrived one after another.
Most of them are relatives of the Shi family in Country D, and there are also a few cousins who grew up with Shi Yanchen.
"Is this Leon's boyfriend?" a tall girl asked in German with curiosity in her eyes, "I am Leon's cousin Anna."
"Hello," Pei Song responded in fluent German, "I often hear Leon mention you."
"My name is Michael, and I work for UBS." The other young man also spoke in German, "Leon said you are in charge of a big project at SNK?"
At the dinner table, relatives were chatting animatedly in German, and Pei Song joined in with ease.
He had lived in Country D for three years and was very familiar with the language and culture there, which made the Shi family have a better impression of him.
At this moment, Mr. Shi suddenly stood up and raised his glass, and the whole restaurant fell silent in an instant.
