Chapter 156 You Beast
In the evening, when Pei Song opened the door, he saw a table full of delicious food.
The candlelight flickered, and a bottle of dark red wine was placed diagonally in the ice bucket in the middle of the dining table.
MAX ran over excitedly, waving his tail left and right like a baton, directing the joy in the room.
"This is..." Pei Song picked up the bottle and took a breath after seeing the label. "1982 Petrus? Why did you take this bottle of wine out?"
Shi Yanchen took his coat and briefcase and said with a smile: "Today is worth celebrating."
"You're a spendthrift." Pei Song gave him a reproachful look. "This is the best Bordeaux wine. Isn't it better to keep it?"
"No matter how good the wine is, you need to have the best time to taste it." Shi Yanchen took out the decanter and poured the wine in elegantly, "And today, this bottle of wine is the only one in the house that is worthy of you."
On the table were seared veal chop, truffle pasta, and Pei Song's favorite baked lobster. Each dish exuded an enticing aroma.
"Come on," Shi Yanchen raised his glass, "Let's drink to today."
Pei Song picked up the cup and shook it, smelling the aroma and exclaimed: "It really is 1982 Petrus. The aroma alone is enough to make people intoxicated."
Shi Yanchen watched him tasting wine, just as professionally as he had been in the restaurant many years ago.
"It's like liquid black truffle," Pei Song took a sip and savored it carefully, "It has a velvety texture and rich layers of texture."
After three rounds of drinks, the two chatted about today's press conference.
Pei Song recalled those tricky questions and couldn't help laughing: "Did you see Mr. Zhang's expression? He didn't expect me to be able to answer them."
Shi Yanchen poured him another half cup of wine: "It's easy to say this now, but I was so nervous before going on stage."
"I have no choice," Pei Song took another sip, "who told you to force me to go up."
As he was talking, Pei Song felt his cheeks getting hot, and the bottle of Petrus was almost empty.
He loosened his collar, his face flushed and his eyes became blurry.
"A little hot." He muttered and poured himself another half cup.
"This wine has a strong aftereffect, drink less." Shi Yanchen saw that he was getting drunker and wanted to take the wine glass from his hand.
"I'm not drunk." Pei Song dodged his hand and drank the wine in the glass in one breath, "But I do feel a little dizzy."
"Look at you, your face is red." Shi Yanchen looked at him with amusement.
Pei Song raised his glass and said, "Today on stage, I suddenly understood. Whether it's work or love, I don't need to hide anymore."
"So you chose to wear the ring today?" Shi Yanchen held his hand.
"Because I want everyone to know that I am proud of you today," Pei Song leaned back in his chair, his voice becoming especially soft due to drunkenness, "I hope I can become more and more powerful, so that you can be proud of me in the future."
"No need for the future. I've always been proud of you, Songsong." Shi Yanchen smiled slightly, his eyes full of affection.
Pei Song smiled and said, "By the way, I haven't seen the words engraved inside." Then he raised his hand, took off the ring, and looked carefully at the words on the inner circle of the ring under the light.
The alcohol was getting to him, and the words in front of him were a little blurry. He squinted his eyes and tried hard to see, but he couldn't see clearly.
The hand holding the ring was a little unsteady, and he muttered, "Dead hand, don't shake it!"
As he spoke, he pressed his wrist with his other hand to stop it from shaking.
That drunken yet serious look instantly struck Shi Yanchen's heart.
He leaned close to Pei Song's ear and whispered in a low and gentle tone: "In
deinem
Blick
finde
ich
mein
Zuhause." (In your eyes, I found my home.)
Pei Song was stunned for a moment, and his eyes suddenly became moist.
Alcohol made his emotions particularly exposed, as if all his defenses were gently broken down.
“Ich
auch,” he responded in German, his voice choking, “In
deinem
Blick
finde
ich
auch
mein
Zuhause." (Me too, in your eyes, I have found my home.)
Shi Yanchen looked at his red eyes, his heart softened, and he leaned over to kiss the tears from the corners of his eyes.
"I didn't cry," Pei Song hugged his neck, "I'm just too happy."
He placed a kiss on Shi Yanchen's lips that smelled of red wine: "No matter what happens in the future, we will be together."
"Okay, I promise you." Shi Yanchen looked at the drunk person in his arms: "Go take a shower first."
"No," Pei Song snuggled into his arms, "I just want to hold you like this."
"Be good," Shi Yanchen rubbed his hair, "hold me after you wash me." As he said this, he was about to pick him up.
Pei Song refused to cooperate and twisted around in his arms: "I can walk by myself." As soon as he finished speaking, he almost tripped over himself.
Shi Yanchen supported him helplessly: "It seems that I have to help you wash it."
In the bathroom, Pei Song sat by the bathtub and let Shi Yanchen help him take off his clothes.
The hot water gradually came up and he sighed comfortably.
Shi Yanchen was about to wash his hair, but Pei Song turned around and hugged his neck: "Leon, you are so handsome."
"Really?" Shi Yanchen chuckled, "Then you better let me wash you."
Pei Song was relentless and insisted on rubbing against him: "You know, today in the office, I really wanted..."
"Hmm?" Shi Yanchen's eyes darkened, "What do you want?"
"I want..." Pei Song bit his ear, his voice soft, "Kiss you."
Shi Yanchen took a deep breath and said, "If you continue to make trouble, we will continue what we didn't finish in the lounge at noon tonight."
"Humph," Pei Song pushed him away, "You beast, you are so impatient now, be careful to eat regularly and quantitatively in the future."
Shi Yanchen reached out and slapped him on the butt: "I'll remember this for now."
"You dare to hit me!" Pei Song suddenly came to his senses and turned around to grab Shi Yanchen's hand.
The hot water splashed and wet Shi Yanchen's shirt.
He didn't care, and focused on the person in his arms who was throwing a tantrum, his eyes narrowed slightly: "If you keep making trouble, I won't just beat you once."
Pei Song glared at him, but finally gave in: "Forget it, forget it. I'm sleepy." Then he leaned against the edge of the bathtub, looking like he was at the mercy of others.
After finally helping Pei Song take a bath, Shi Yanchen dried his hair and put pajamas on him.
Pei Song was so sleepy that he couldn't open his eyes, but he still refused to sleep and insisted on talking to Shi Yanchen.
"Go to sleep," Shi Yanchen tucked him into the quilt, "You still have to go to work tomorrow."
"Come quickly too." Pei Song said dazedly.
When Shi Yanchen came out of the shower, Pei Song was already asleep.
He lay down gently, and Pei Song subconsciously leaned into his arms.
Shi Yanchen smiled slightly, ruffled his hair with his hands, and muttered in a low voice: "Time and quantity? That depends on who asks first."
