Chapter 80 Darkness

Chapter 80 Darkness

The two walked back, one in front of the other, in silence.

It was not until they returned to the hotel lobby that an emergency notice scrolling on the electronic display screen caught their attention: Due to the impending snowstorm, tourists were asked to go down the mountain as soon as possible.

Zhou Feng's cell phone rang.

"Mr. Zhou, I'm sorry to bother you," Hao Yan's anxious voice came from the other end of the phone, "The bus driver said there was an accident at the foot of the mountain, and he might have to come to pick us up later. Now the snow is getting heavier, can you take us down the mountain first?"

Zhou Feng looked at Pei Song: "Pei Song, why don't you come with us..."

"No need," Pei Song shook his head, "Your car can't hold so many people, you can send them down the mountain first, and I'll wait for the bus to pick them up."

Zhou Feng looked at Pei Song deeply, but said nothing in the end and turned and left.

After sending them away, Pei Song walked back and sent a message to Su Mi asking him not to come.

As he was walking, a car suddenly braked beside him.

"Pei Song?"

He looked up and saw a black SUV parked on the side of the road with its windows slowly lowered.

He didn't recognize the man in the driver's seat at all, but he smiled meaningfully: "Isn't this Manager Pei from SNK?"

Pei Song felt a little uneasy and subconsciously took a step back.

A cold voice came from the back seat: "The one in charge of the 'Senior Citizens' Home'? Catch him!"

Before he finished speaking, two burly men jumped out of the car.

Pei Song reacted very quickly, turned around and ran.

He subconsciously rushed towards the crowded direction, but the man on his left shouted: "Stop him! Don't let him run to the rest area!"

Another person immediately went around to his side, forcing him to flee towards a remote snow trail.

The road leads to a pine forest and is rarely visited by people.

Pei Song's heart sank, but it was too late to turn around.

The snow was so slippery that every step felt like sinking into cotton.

He heard footsteps getting closer behind him, and his breathing became heavy and mixed with curses.

The pine forest is right in front of us, and the thick snow on the branches is swaying in the wind.

"Shit! Don't let him run into the woods!"

Pei Song gritted his teeth and sped up, but the heavy ski suit made his movements slow.

Just as he was about to rush into the woods, a figure suddenly pounced from the side.

"Bang!" He fell heavily into the snow, and another man immediately pressed on him, holding his shoulders tightly.

The cold snow water seeped into his collar, and the biting chill made him shiver.

He struggled hard, but two people held his shoulders tightly, one on each side, with such force that he could hardly breathe.

"You..." Pei Song gritted his teeth, "Who are you?"

The man on the left sneered: "You don't recognize me now? Manager Pei, it seems you have offended a lot of people."

Pei Song's mind was working rapidly: "Galaxy Real Estate?"

"Oh," the man raised his eyebrows, "Manager Pei is a busy man, but you still remember our Galaxy Real Estate."

Leather shoes squeaked on the snow, and a figure slowly approached.

Pei Song looked up and saw a face covered with gloom.

"Mr. Wei." the person next to him said respectfully.

President Wei squatted down and looked at Pei Song's face carefully: "He is quite handsome." He reached out and pinched Pei Song's chin, "Just this pretty boy ruined all our plans?"

"Let go!" Pei Song shook his head violently.

"Tsk," Mr. Wei stood up, "You have quite a temper. Qiangzi, deal with it."

Qiangzi took out the tape and Pei Song turned his head frantically to avoid it, but his mouth was still sealed tightly.

He whined in protest, his eyes burning with anger.

"Dig a hole and bury it." Mr. Wei said lightly.

Qiangzi paused: "Boss Wei, we don't do this kind of thing..."

"Then take off his clothes." Mr. Wei sneered and looked at the thermometer on his watch. "At this temperature, it won't take long for it to naturally..."

That meaningful pause sent a chill down Pei Song's spine.

"Boss Wei!" Qiangzi's face changed, "This is too..."

"What? Are you soft-hearted?" President Wei glanced at him coldly, "Then why don't you lie here with him for a while?"

Qiangzi shuddered and dared not speak any more.

He bent down to take off Pei Song's ski suit, his fingers trembling from the cold.

A biting cold wind whistled past, and even he couldn't help but grit his teeth.

The snow fell heavier and heavier, and the sky became terribly gloomy.

"Manager Pei," Qiangzi whispered, "don't blame me. Blame it on you for offending someone else instead of the vindictive CEO Wei."

He hesitated for a moment, left Pei Song a quick-drying base layer, and tied his limbs with ropes: "You... wish you good luck."

Pei Song was dragged to a depression under the platform, which was blocked by dense pine trees and could not be seen from above.

His cell phone rang. Mr. Wei picked it up, took a look at it, then threw it down the mountain.

"Dig deeper." Mr. Wei kicked the snow at the edge of the pit, "Don't let anyone see it at a glance."

The two men dug for more than ten minutes using the engineer shovels they carried with them, and finally dug a pit more than one person deep.

The cold wind blew snow into the pit, making people shiver.

Pei Song was thrown in, with only a wet quick-drying shirt on his body, shivering from the cold.

He struggled desperately, but his hands and feet were so painful from the ropes, and the tape on his mouth made it impossible for him to make any sound.

"Get some more branches," Chief Wei commanded, "and cover the pit entrance tightly."

Qiangzi and another person hurriedly broke some pine branches and built a simple support at the mouth of the pit.

They pushed the snow onto the pine branches and pulled a few dead vines to wrap around them, and soon it blended into the surrounding environment.

President Wei squatted down and took one last look at Pei Song through the lid: "Remember in your next life, there are some people you cannot offend."

After cleaning up the scene, the three men disappeared in the heavy snow.

Pei Song lay at the bottom of the cold pit, looking at the small piece of sky that was vaguely visible above his head.

Snowflakes kept falling from the gaps between the branches and leaves, hitting his exposed skin like tiny blades.

The sky was terribly gloomy, and the thick leaden clouds made it hard to breathe.

The little bit of sunlight that had been able to penetrate the clouds disappeared, and the entire ski resort fell into an eerie darkness.
