Chapter 92 Water Sound

Chapter 92 Water Sound

Pei Song then realized the jealousy in his words and couldn't help laughing: "Are you jealous?"

"Really?" Shi Yanchen said nonchalantly, "I was just wondering, you made so many exquisite foods for it, I wonder what our dinner will be."

Pei Song looked at the time and it was almost nine o'clock.

"I'm sorry," he said apologetically, "I was so focused on making food for MAX that I forgot about the time."

Shi Yanchen looked at his slightly guilty expression, and the little emotion in his heart instantly disappeared.

"It doesn't matter," he said, "anything will do."

Pei Song quickly opened the refrigerator: "I'll cook some quick dishes."

He handled the ingredients skillfully and soon cooked three dishes: stir-fried pork with green peppers, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and stir-fried lettuce.

"I'm sorry," he said, bringing the food to the table, "I wanted to make you something delicious, but I miscalculated the time."

Shi Yanchen tasted a bite of fried tomato and eggs and deliberately said, "MAX's food is much better than ours."

Pei Song looked at his slightly aggrieved expression and couldn't help but laugh: "Okay, I'll start preparing early tomorrow and make you your favorite twice-cooked pork."

"That's more like it," Shi Yanchen picked up a piece of shredded pork with green pepper with chopsticks, "but seriously, aren't you pampering it too much?"

Pei Song glanced at MAX who was concentrating on eating, and said softly: "It saved my life, I want it to live a better life."

Shi Yanchen's expression softened instantly.

He reached out and held Pei Song's hand: "I know, I was just joking with it." After a pause, he added, "But you should also take care of your body. You just got out of the hospital not long ago, don't be too tired."

Pei Song nodded: "I know, don't worry."

The two of them ate dinner quietly. MAX had already finished and lay down beside them obediently.

"By the way," Shi Yanchen suggested, "Let Auntie take care of MAX from now on, and you can just focus on recuperating."

Pei Song shook his head: "No, I want to take care of it myself, and the trainer said that it can enhance the relationship if the owner takes care of it personally."

Shi Yanchen looked at his insistence and said helplessly: "Then at least let Auntie help prepare the ingredients, and you can just be responsible for the final preparation."

Pei Song thought about it and nodded in agreement.

After dinner, Shi Yanchen rolled up his sleeves and began to deal with the mess on the table: "You go and have a rest, I'll clean up here."

Pei Song curled up in the soft sofa, took out his mobile phone and opened a game.

MAX came over, put his head on his legs, and looked at him eagerly.

"Want to play?" Pei Song rubbed its ears and took out a frisbee from under the coffee table, "Go, catch it!"

The frisbee drew an arc in the air, and MAX immediately jumped up nimbly, bit the plate, and ran back happily and put it at Pei Song's feet.

"Great!" Pei Song patted its head as a reward and threw the frisbee a few more times.

There was a sound of water splashing in the kitchen, occasionally mixed with the crisp sound of dishes colliding.

While Pei Song was playing Frisbee with MAX, he glanced at the kitchen out of the corner of his eye.

Shi Yanchen was washing the dishes attentively, and his arms with smooth lines looked particularly beautiful under the light.

"Song Song," Shi Yanchen's voice came from the kitchen, "It's almost ten o'clock, it's time to take a shower."

Pei Song then remembered an important question: "Oh, I didn't bring any of my clothes..."

He put down his phone and walked into the kitchen: "Can you lend me a set of pajamas?"

Shi Yanchen was wiping the last bowl. He turned around and looked at Pei Song's embarrassed expression. The corners of his mouth slightly raised: "Follow me."

He took Pei Song into the second bedroom and pushed open a closet door.

Various clothes were neatly hung in the closet, from home clothes to coats, and all were Pei Song's size.

"These..." Pei Song was so surprised that he was speechless.

"They are all prepared for you." Shi Yanchen took out a set of dark blue silk pajamas from the closet, "How about this one?"

Pei Song looked at the pajamas, which was exactly the style and color he usually liked.

In fact, every piece of clothing in his wardrobe seemed to have been chosen just for him, perfectly suiting his style and preferences.

"Go take a shower," he said softly. "I've adjusted the water temperature."

Pei Song walked quickly into the bathroom holding his clothes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm the tingling feeling.

Shi Yanchen returned to the kitchen to continue cleaning, but he kept glancing towards the bathroom unconsciously.

He seemed to hear the sound of water rushing through the crack in the door, which made his heart beat faster unconsciously.

I don't know when MAX was lying at the bathroom door, wagging his tail gently, as if waiting for his owner.

Shi Yanchen walked over, squatted down, and gently touched its head: "You like him too, don't you?"

MAX tilted his head and looked at him, his eyes seemed to show some understanding.

After a while, the bathroom door was gently pushed open, and Pei Song walked out wearing that dark blue pajamas.

He walked towards the living room while wiping his hair with a towel. The slightly wet hair made him look particularly soft.

The size of the clothes is just right, making him look refreshing. His thin but not frail figure exudes a youthful feel.

Shi Yanchen's eyes unconsciously stuck to him, his gaze lingered for a moment on the vaguely visible collarbone, his Adam's apple rolling slightly.

"Do the clothes... fit?" Shi Yanchen cleared his throat and forced himself to look away.

His voice sounded a little hoarse, with a barely perceptible sense of tension.

Pei Song looked down at his pajamas and nodded: "Yeah, it fits me well." His eyelashes fluttered slightly, "Thank you."

The two looked at each other, and something seemed to be brewing quietly in the air.

MAX called out at the right time, breaking the ambiguous atmosphere.

"Um...I'll go blow dry my hair first." Pei Song said a little flustered.

"Well," Shi Yanchen looked away, "rest early after you finish blowing your hair."

Pei Song walked quickly into the room, closed the door, leaned against the door panel, and took a deep breath.

Nothing happened, but I could feel my heart beating fast.
