Chapter 94 I don’t understand you?

Chapter 94 I don’t understand you?

Finally we reached the eighth floor. The nurse at the nurses' station laughed out loud when she saw the banner: "This patient is really interesting."

The hospital will include the banner in its performance appraisal, and they are happy to see such things.

"Doctor Li is in the clinic." The nurse pointed to the end of the corridor. "He just finished his rounds."

Pei Song held the banner and gently knocked on the door of the clinic.

"Come in."

When I opened the door, I saw Dr. Li writing a medical record.

"Doctor Li." Pei Song greeted with a smile.

Li Mingde raised his head and saw that it was him. He immediately stood up and said, "Mr. Pei! You're here!"

"I'm here to present you with a banner." Pei Song said as he unfolded the banner.

When Li Mingde saw the words on the banner, he was stunned at first, then burst into laughter: "You are amazing. This is the first time I have received such a creative banner."

Pei Song breathed a sigh of relief: "I was afraid you would think it was not solemn enough."

"No, no." Li Mingde said, "I like it very much. It's more interesting this way." He looked at Shi Yanchen behind Pei Song, "Mr. Shi is here too."

Shi Yanchen smiled and nodded: "He asked all the way in the hospital, fearing that others didn't know that you saved him."

"Doctor Li, there is another small gift." Pei Song took out the two gift boxes from his bag and handed them to Li Mingde, "I hope you don't mind."

Li Mingde took the gift box, opened it carefully, and smiled knowingly when he saw the black carbon pen: "Now I don't have to worry about my pen being taken away anymore."

"By the way," Pei Song asked, "Is Xiao Miao on holiday? I promised to treat him to a meal."

"He's still in school. I'll bring him to see you someday." Li Mingde said, picking up the banner. "I'll hang this in the clinic first. If a patient asks about it in the future, I'll say this is a special banner sent by a special patient."

Pei Song was deeply moved as he watched Dr. Li carefully hang the banner on the wall.

When leaving the hospital, Shi Yanchen asked: "Are you satisfied?"

Pei Song nodded, his face still showing the excitement from before: "Doctor Li is such a nice person."

The two walked towards the parking lot side by side, the winter sun shining on their shoulders.

Pei Song sneezed and rubbed his red nose.

"Your hands are so cold." Shi Yanchen naturally took his hand and put both of their hands into his coat pockets.

The warm touch made Pei Song lean towards him unconsciously.

"It's too cold today." Pei Song said in a low voice.

His fingers curled unconsciously in Shi Yanchen's palm, and then gently clasped his fingers.

Shi Yanchen looked down at him, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, and he clenched his hands tighter.

The warmth from their palms touching made both of them feel slightly hot, and their heartbeats quickened uncontrollably.

"Ask Auntie to cook something good for your stomach tonight." Shi Yanchen said, stroking the back of his hand with his thumb. "The doctor said you can't eat anything stimulating right now."

"Yeah." Pei Song responded obediently and leaned closer to Shi Yanchen.

Shi Yanchen slowed down his pace to match his rhythm, allowing him to shift his center of gravity towards him.

The two walked side by side towards the parking lot. No one spoke, but they felt the warmth of mutual understanding in this tacit silence.

Three days later, Pei Song took the physical examination report to see his attending physician for a follow-up examination.

"You're recovering well." The doctor looked through the indicators, "But you still have to be careful not to overwork yourself during this period."

"Can I go back to work?" Pei Song asked.

He has been resting at home for a week, but he still can't let go of the project at hand.

"Yes, but you have to do it gradually," the doctor advised. "Start with half a day, and if there is no discomfort after a week, you can resume full day use."

Pei Song was about to say something when Shi Yanchen beside him said, "I'll watch over you."

On the way back, Shi Yanchen received a call from Jin Shuning.

"Mr. Shi, there is new progress at Galaxy Real Estate." Jin Shuning said, "After Mr. Wei pleaded guilty, other suspects were arrested one after another. Liu Yan disclosed a lot of internal information, which is enough to prove that Galaxy Real Estate has violated the law in the elderly care project in recent years."

Shi Yanchen pressed the hands-free key: "What is the result?"

"The procuratorate has already filed a public prosecution." Jin Shuning paused, "In addition, Galaxy Real Estate chose the first option and agreed to sell the elderly care project in East China. They sent a new team to negotiate, and their attitude was very sincere."

Pei Song interjected: "The contract terms need to be reviewed, especially the part about protecting the rights of the elderly."

"Okay." Shi Yanchen said, "Let the legal department focus on this. Also, let Zhou Feng lead the team to conduct on-site inspections and carefully evaluate the specific circumstances of each project."

After hanging up the phone, Pei Song thought: "In fact, the overall planning of Galaxy Real Estate's retirement project is not bad, but there are problems at the execution level."

Shi Yanchen turned his head and looked at him: "What do you think?"

"We can optimize and upgrade on the original basis." Pei Song said, "Nowadays, the aging of society is accelerating, and the demand for the elderly care market is increasing, but there are too few high-quality projects."

"As long as you take care of yourself, I fully support you in your work." Shi Yanchen reached out and ruffled his hair. "Your physical condition still needs to be taken care of. Don't work too hard."

Pei Song nodded: "I promise you, I will take care of my health."

"That's good." Shi Yanchen said, "Now, accompany me to have lunch. Auntie said she made lotus seed porridge for you today."

Pei Song smiled: "Auntie really understands me and knows that I want to eat this."

Shi Yanchen raised his eyebrows: "Why, I don't understand you?"

"I understand." Pei Song said with a smile, "You know me best."

On Monday morning, Pei Song stood in front of the SNK Building and took a deep breath.

Before coming, he got up early and took MAX for a walk, making sure it had breakfast and gone to the toilet.

Although his aunt would take care of it, he was still a little worried on the first day of separation.

As the elevator door opened and I walked into the office area, I heard exclamations one after another.

"Manager Pei is back!"

"Great, I finally got you back!"

Colleagues gathered around and expressed their concern.

"Manager Pei, you've lost a lot of weight." Hao Yan said with concern.

"It seems that the food in the hospital is not very good." Lin Lin said with a smile, "There is a new chef in the cafeteria, and his cooking skills are very good."

Pei Song was a little embarrassed by their enthusiasm: "I'm fine, I'm completely fine now."

The technical director handed over a document: "This is the project progress summary we compiled during your hospitalization. Every link is recorded in detail."

Pei Song opened the file and saw the densely packed notes inside, and his heart warmed: "Thank you everyone."

As soon as I sat down in the office, Jin Shuning knocked on the door and came in: "The doctor said that you can only work half a day recently. On the project side, Mr. Shi asked us to rearrange our schedule and arrange all urgent matters in the morning."

Pei Song nodded: "I understand. In this case, we have to adjust our work priorities and advance the most critical links first."
