Chapter 99 Stretching
The next morning, Pei Song was awakened by aches all over his body.
He managed to turn over with difficulty, and all the muscles in his body were protesting against the excessive exercise yesterday.
The thighs and calves in particular felt as heavy as if they were injected with lead.
When MAX heard the noise, he immediately trotted over with the frisbee in his mouth, wagging his tail happily.
Pei Song rubbed MAX's ear and said, "My whole body hurts today. I'm afraid I can't play with you."
MAX seemed to understand what he said. He lay down on the edge of the bed in disappointment and let out a wronged whimper.
Pei Song was so amused by its pitiful appearance that he patted its head again: "I'll play with you when I get better, okay?"
"But I still have to take you downstairs." Pei Song said with a smile, "Let's go to the bathroom."
MAX immediately perked up and followed him downstairs obediently.
The claws jumped lightly on the marble floor, making a crisp "tapping" sound.
Although his legs hurt a lot, Pei Song still insisted on taking MAX for a slow walk around the community.
When he returned home, Shi Yanchen was reading documents at the dining table. When he heard the door open and looked up, he saw Pei Song frowning slightly and his walking posture was obviously unnatural.
"What's wrong?" He put down the documents in his hand.
"My legs are a little sore." Pei Song said truthfully, "I practiced dancing for too long yesterday."
Shi Yanchen stood up and walked behind him: "Then let me give you a massage?"
Pei Song nodded and lay down on the sofa: "Then be gentle."
Shi Yanchen's technique was surprisingly good. Starting from the calf, he kneaded the sore muscles inch by inch.
The strength is just right, not too heavy to cause pain, but able to accurately find every place that needs to be relaxed.
Pei Song closed his eyes comfortably, a little surprised: "How come you are so good at pressing?"
"These are the basic common sense for relaxing muscles after exercise." Shi Yanchen said, without stopping the movement of his hands.
"Is that so..." Pei Song was about to say something when Shi Yanchen's fingers pressed on a stiff knot. His body trembled slightly and he let out a light gasp unexpectedly. He immediately covered his mouth and his ears turned red instantly.
Shi Yanchen paused, and his voice was a little lower than usual: "Does it hurt here?"
"No, no..." Pei Song stuttered. Feeling the change in the breathing of the person behind him, he froze.
The atmosphere in the living room suddenly became subtle.
"Your waist is also sore, right?" After Shi Yanchen finished massaging his calf, he moved his palm upwards.
"Wait!" Pei Song hurriedly held his hand, his voice a little flustered, "You don't need to massage your waist, I can just rub it myself."
Shi Yanchen didn't force it: "Are you still going to practice dancing today?"
"Yeah." Pei Song lowered his head, still not recovering from the embarrassment just now, "The annual meeting is coming soon, we can't delay any longer."
"Be careful and don't force yourself." Shi Yanchen said.
Pei Song nodded and walked quickly towards the door.
Looking at Pei Song's hurriedly leaving back, Shi Yanchen lowered his eyes and laughed softly twice.
…
Pei Song sorted out the last document and looked up at the time. It was almost time to get off work.
He opened the schedule on his computer and checked each node carefully.
After the delivery of the first phase of the project, the operation was good and the utilization rate of the intelligent system far exceeded expectations.
However, as more and more elderly people move in, some new needs have gradually emerged.
With a "ding" sound, it was the data analysis report sent by the technical director.
He quickly browsed through it and found some interesting usage data:
The accuracy rate of the medical warning function reaches 98%, but some elderly people reported that the operating interface is not intuitive enough; the smart medicine box is used frequently, but for the elderly with poor eyesight, the font size of the display screen is still too small.
While I was taking notes, the office door was pushed open.
"Manager Pei, the planning scheme for the second phase of the project has been released." Lin Lin walked in with a stack of documents in her hand. "Based on the operating data of the first phase, we have made some adjustments to the intelligent configuration."
Pei Song took the information and quickly flipped through it. His eyes lit up: "This aging-friendly renovation is well done. All the user feedback collected in the first phase was used."
"Yes, we have focused on optimizing the operation interface." Lin Lin said, "For example, we have enlarged the font, simplified the operation steps, and added voice prompts. However, you still need to check the hardware selection."
"Okay, I'll take a look at the detailed plan tonight. The second phase of the project is positioned at a higher end, and the hardware configuration must be upgraded accordingly." Pei Song said, "But the core is still to solve practical needs, and we can't sacrifice ease of use for the sake of technology."
After Lin Lin left, he continued to study the second phase plan.
The success of the first phase of the project gave them great confidence, but the positioning and customer base of the new project were different, and every detail had to be re-planned.
My phone vibrated. It was a message from Shi Yanchen: "Still working overtime"
Pei Song glanced at the time and saw that it was past the end of get off work time. "I'll leave right away. I'm looking at the planning scheme for the second phase of the project."
Shi Yanchen sent him a picture of MAX lying at the door waiting for someone.
Pei Song couldn't help but smile. Now every time he worked overtime, Shi Yanchen would use this trick to "urge" him to go home.
Just as I was about to pack up, an idea popped into my mind.
He quickly sent an email to the technical department:
"It is recommended to add pet interaction functions in the second phase of the project, such as remote feeding and video interaction. The first phase of the survey showed that many elderly people like small animals, but have difficulty taking care of them. If this problem can be solved by technological means, it should be very popular."
After sending the email, he started to clean up his desk.
While sorting documents, my fingers accidentally touched the results report of a project.
Those happy smiling faces and warm feedback remind him of the significance of this job.
The office door was pushed open again, Shi Yanchen leaned against the door frame: "Why don't you go home?"
"Right away." Pei Song looked up and met those doting eyes, "Just one last step."
Shi Yanchen walked up to him and looked at the computer screen: "What do you think of the second phase plan?"
"The overall planning is very good," Pei Song said, "especially the renovation for the elderly, which put all the experience accumulated in the first phase of the project to good use."
"Yeah." Shi Yanchen reached out and closed his notebook, "I'm going home."
After a simple dinner, Pei Song changed into sportswear and went to the fitness area.
It was a special sports space, equipped with treadmills, yoga mats and other equipment. An entire wall was covered with mirrors. Shi Yanchen usually exercised here.
There is plenty of light in front of the spacious mirror, and the night view of the city is outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The music started and he began to practice, repeating a transition over and over again.
MAX lay motionless on the yoga mat, watching Pei Song practice dancing attentively.
"Have you found the feeling?" Shi Yanchen's voice came from the study.
"It seems to be almost there." Pei Song repeated the action again.
"Go lie down on the yoga mat." Shi Yanchen walked out of the study, "Do some stretching."
"No need..." Pei Song subconsciously wanted to refuse.
