Wang Yingying looked up at her coldly; "Aunt Lan, you don't need to clean here today. Please go home."
Aunt Lan, puzzled, scratched her head. "I'm here to clean for Mr. Lin. He's a regular customer; how can I just leave without doing my job?"
After saying that, she ignored Wang Yingying and skillfully got into position, ready to start working. But the next second, Wang Yingying approached, grabbed her tools, and pushed her out, saying, "I'm sorry, I'm staying here now. Please leave. I'll clean this myself, and I'll tell Brother Xiao when he gets back. Don't bother yourself."
Aunt Lan stumbled from the push, standing at the door with a forced smile. "Miss Wang, if I have to go back, what will I do? If the cleaning isn't done carefully enough, Mr. Lin won't hire me anymore. Besides, this is my livelihood. If you let me go, I won't get paid. I know you're beautiful and kind-hearted, Miss Wang, and won't hold it against me. But look at your skin; you have to clean so many details by hand. Some cleaning agents are harsh on your hands. If I hurt your skin, it won't look good, and Mr. Lin will feel sorry for you and blame me, won't he?"
At this point, Aunt Lan thought Wang Yingying would waver, but little did she know that Wang Yingying had her own plans. She began to fantasize that Lin Moxiao would hold her hand with heartache and sadness, treat her wounds, take good care of her, and give her more compensation.
Aunt Lan's smile was still on her face, waiting for her reaction.
Wang Yingying's smile brightened; "It's wonderful that Brother Xiao cares about me. Please go back. You don't need to come here anymore. I'll do all the work."
Aunt Lan's smile froze instantly. She never imagined that coming here would result in losing a family, losing a long-term source of income. She stammered in disbelief, "You're telling me not to come here again? I need to ask Mr. Lin and confirm with him."
She hesitantly pulled out her phone, her heart pounding with nervousness. Just as she was about to turn it on, Wang Yingying snatched it away. "Brother Xiao works at the airport, he's flying right now. Are you trying to get yourself killed calling him at this hour?"
Seeing her angry expression, Aunt Lan secretly blamed herself, realizing she had forgotten Mr. Lin's job at the airport in her anxiety. She still lowered her head and said meekly, "Miss Wang, please don't hold a grudge. Don't make me unable to come back. I rely on this job to support my family; my daughter is still in high school and desperately needs this income."
"That's your business, what does it have to do with me? I live here now, so I'm in charge. Why waste your time wasting my time here? Why don't you go out and find another place? You can still make money." With that, Wang Yingying threw the phone she had just snatched at Aunt Lan. Before Aunt Lan could react, the phone slammed to the ground. Because the floor was marble, it was very hard, and the phone shattered into several pieces upon impact. The SIM card fell out. Aunt Lan, her face contorted with heartache, picked up the phone. Seeing the obvious cracks on the screen, she suppressed her anger and carefully reassembled the phone, her hands trembling as she inserted the SIM card. Wang Yingying, standing to the side, showed no remorse, looking at her with disdain. Seeing Aunt Lan dawdling and refusing to leave, she lost all patience and snapped, "Why aren't you leaving? Are you trying to stay here forever?"
Aunt Lan's face flushed instantly; "You broke my phone and didn't even apologize, and you want to kick me out like this? I've truly seen something amazing today. There are girls like you in this world! I really don't believe Mr. Lin would be interested in you. I've worked for him for two years, after all, and I know his character to some extent. A wicked woman like you could never catch his eye. You must have used some underhanded tricks to get close to him."
Wang Yingying seemed to have her secret exposed; her guilty eyes flickered, then she shouted again, "If you don't leave, I'll yell for help! I'll let everyone here know that you forced your way into their home to do cleaning, so they'll see your greedy face and see if they'll dare hire you again!"
Aunt Lan pointed angrily at her, defiant and reckless; "You smashed my phone, and you still think you're right? Since you're not giving me a way out, why should I be afraid of you? How can you compare to Miss Jiang? Even though I only spent one day with her, I could tell Mr. Lin's eyes were full of her. To be honest, in the two years I've worked here, and in all my meetings with Mr. Lin, I've never seen him so happy in front of Miss Jiang. I'm an experienced person; I can tell Mr. Lin has her in his heart. In her presence, his face radiated a warm smile. That was the only time I saw him smile. It turns out he's not such a taciturn person after all."
Wang Yingying was stunned by what Aunt Lan said; "You mean he brought Jiang Shuya here and she stayed here?"
Aunt Lan snorted coldly, her face showing disdainful mockery; "If Miss Jiang weren't already married, what business would you have? But even if she is married, so what? It doesn't diminish her place in Mr. Lin's heart."
"Get out! Get out of here! If you don't leave, I'll call the police and report you for trespassing!" Wang Yingying pointed at the door and roared angrily at her.
Aunt Lan tidied up the cleaning supplies she had brought, then stretched out her hands and said, "I can leave, but you have to pay for the broken phone. Otherwise, I'm not leaving today. We can both end up in the police station together."
Seeing Aunt Lan walking towards the sofa in the living room, Wang Yingying grabbed her arm; "If you don't leave, I'll call someone to come and get you, you believe me?"
Aunt Lan ignored her and showed her her phone, her intention quite clear: "I'll leave once I've paid the money."
Unexpectedly, Wang Yingying went to the bedroom, retrieved her phone, and made a call. While on the phone, she gave Aunt Lan a sly look; "Tiger, bring a few men right now. There's an old lady here; please help me get her out of here and find a secluded spot to teach her a lesson."
Upon hearing this, Aunt Lan's mocking expression vanished instantly, and she straightened up, saying, "So what if you call for help? Can't I call the police? Is there no law in this world?"
"Fine. Go ahead and call. If you can't make it on your phone, you can go outside to call, but you'll be half dead before the police arrive. See which is more worthwhile," Wang Yingying taunted her menacingly.
