Chapter 160 Condemnation of Lovelessness

Jiang Shuya's words were brief, practical, and sincere. In the eyes of others, she was perfect in every way. She never shied away from admitting that she had loved Huang Minghao like a moth drawn to a flame, giving so much only to be met with ridicule and contempt.

However, the Jiang Shuya of the past is truly dead. She has awakened and wants to become a resilient woman who can take things on and let them go, transforming from a weak woman into someone unapproachable.

Huang Minghao watched helplessly as Jiang Shuya walked away in another direction. This person who had been tied to him for two years would never again try to please him like that. Perhaps he had wronged her too much and neglected her too much. Fortunately, he had bought himself six months, so he still had a chance to get to know her!

Thinking of this, a smile involuntarily appeared on my lips.

Today is the day to resume work after the Spring Festival. Wang Ziliang, who returned from his hometown, also started to return to his post. On his first day back at work, he hurriedly called Jiang Shuya, his tone sounding both urgent and mysterious.

Jiang Shuya was wandering aimlessly on Hexi Street in a daze. After answering the phone, she didn't listen carefully to what Wang Ziliang said and walked to Lida Shopping Mall on her own two feet. When Wang Ziliang saw Jiang Shuya, he greeted her with a big smile.

"Happy New Year, cousin!"

Jiang Shuya forced a smile when he greeted her;

"Ziliang, Happy New Year."

Wang Ziliang mysteriously took out a package and said, "Cousin, this is a local specialty I brought from my hometown. I prepared it especially for you, so please don't mind it."

Jiang Shuya knew this was a New Year's gift from Wang Ziliang. Without any joy, she calmly accepted it, held it in her hand, and replied indifferently, "Thank you, Ziliang."

Seeing that she wasn't being polite, Wang Ziliang chatted casually, telling her about interesting things from his hometown, his younger brother's wedding, and where the dowry money went. Jiang Shuya sat on the flower bed, staring blankly at the cars on the opposite side of the road, completely ignoring what Wang Ziliang was saying.

Seeing that Jiang Shuya was in a bad mood, Wang Ziliang tidied up the goods for the day and then went to find out what was going on. But when he turned around, he saw that Jiang Shuya had already crossed the road and was walking west alone. He turned around and saw that he hadn't taken the things by the flower bed. Just as he was about to wave, he saw Lin Moxiao sitting in his car on the other side of the road honking his horn at him.

Upon seeing Lin Moxiao, Wang Ziliang quickly took out a package from the car and said with a grin;

"Dude, you're right on time! I thought you were too busy to come today."

After saying that, he walked over to Lin Moxiao's trunk, put his things away, walked to the front of the car, and placed his hands on the car window.

"How was your New Year? Thanks for the 100,000 yuan, it got me out of a tight spot. I'll pay you back slowly later!"

Lin Moxiao's eyes remained unmoved, her thick, dark eyebrows tense. As Wang Ziliang recounted seeing the home of their high school teacher in their hometown, Lin Moxiao grew increasingly impatient, looking at Wang Ziliang with disdain.

"Are you done talking? You called me here just about this?"

"Ah, what else could it be?" Wang Ziliang asked, scratching his head in surprise.

What's wrong with you today? You seem to be in a bad mood, and you said this out of the blue;

"What's wrong with Jiang Shuya? She seemed unwell just now, pale and weak, like she'd suffered a blow. She didn't even take what I gave her."

Lin Moxiao snapped out of his daze, frowning. "What did you say? Jiang Shuya was here?"

"Yes, she was just here a moment ago, then she went in the opposite direction and walked back by herself, like she'd lost her soul. She didn't turn around even when I called her."

Wang Ziliang pointed to the crossroads ahead and looked around, but found that the person had already disappeared.

Without saying a word or a greeting, Lin Moxiao stepped on the gas and drove away.

Wang Ziliang was left standing there, completely bewildered.

A person walked down the street like a lost soul. The further west he went, the more trees there were, and the maple leaves on the trees covered the ground, from light to dark. Jiang Shuya squatted down on the ground, bored, picking up the brightly colored maple leaves, trying to fold them into a small fan. But the result was not satisfactory. She picked them up, folded them, and threw them away. The more boring it was, the more flustered she became.

I couldn't get over that hurdle in my heart, and before I knew it, I had walked to the viewing platform by the river in the lush and green Green Expo Park. I sat under the high pavilion and quietly watched the surging waves on the river.

"Jiang Shuya, Jiang Shuya." Lin Moxiao walked up to her, but she didn't acknowledge him.

Vehicles are not allowed inside the observation deck, so Lin Moxiao parked his car in the parking lot outside the park and followed the trail until he found it.

At this moment, Jiang Shuya stared blankly at the river, not saying a word. She just wanted to be alone and didn't want to be disturbed by anyone. So what if she was reborn? She was still a person with flesh and blood.

She wasn't a goddess descended from heaven, capable of being cold-blooded and ruthless. Her past life was so wretched, and in this life, she personally unearthed those bloody memories. Whether in her past or present life, her impulsive and reckless actions, her ignorance and shallowness, have earned her the punishment she deserves.

Ren Jing's death made her unable to forgive herself. She deeply understood how Ren Jing was in despair and had no choice but to leave helplessly. She could not escape the condemnation of her conscience because of Ren Jing's death.

Once the hidden box was opened, tears gushed out like a spring, urgent and painful.

Her heart ached more and more, and tears silently slid down her cheeks. Lin Moxiao silently appeared beside her, watching her quietly without saying a word.

A moment later, he took out a handkerchief from his pocket, carefully wiped away her tears, and embraced her with tenderness in his eyes. He whispered in her ear and gently stroked her hair.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here with you. Don't cry, be good, don't cry."

Lin Moxiao tried hard to control her emotions, and seeing her so sad and upset because of others, she felt a mix of emotions.

The person in his arms closed their eyes wearily, unconsciously enjoying the warm embrace.

A moment later, Jiang Shuya slowly raised her head and looked at him with teary eyes;

"You know what? He didn't love me before, and I hated him. Now I don't love him anymore, and I hate myself."

Lin Moxiao stared at her with a surprised look, gazing at her for a long time, his heart aching slightly; "Still can't let go?"

Without nodding or shaking her head, Jiang Shuya wiped away her tears and whispered;

"I'm sorry, I lost my temper. I need to be alone."

Desperate for quiet, her tone softened. The man before her insisted he was interested in her, but at this moment, he clearly couldn't soothe her inner turmoil or understand her feelings. That's what she thought, and that's what she believed.

"Alright, since you have something you can't say, I respect your choice." After saying that, Lin Moxiao silently turned and left, leaving Jiang Shuya alone with a lost and lonely figure.
