It was a pitch-black night, the moon was high and the wind was strong. A chilly air carried on the breeze. Jiang Shuya finished her day's work and walked alone on the road. There were no streetlights, the moonlight was hazy, there were no pedestrians on the road, and the surroundings were silent.
Suddenly a car drove up behind her, its headlights blaring blindingly. She instinctively stepped back and shielded her eyes from the glaring light with her hand.
Suddenly the car stopped, and two tall figures got out and walked straight toward her.
Without a word, the intruder struck her on the back of the head with a menacing look. Before she could dodge, her mouth and nose were covered, and a black mask was put over her head. The two men carried and dragged her into the van.
Seeing that she had fainted, the people on the bus tossed her into the back seat, and one of them gave a wicked smile:
"Brother Tao is truly a prophet; his scouting trip around the area these past few days has indeed yielded results."
As the car sped along, Jiang Shuya was taken to a secluded, dark house. When she woke up, or rather, she heard a summoning voice. The black mask on her head was gone, and her whole body was bound with ropes, curled up on the ground.
Opening my eyes, still groggy, I vaguely heard Sun Qi's voice: "Sister-in-law, sister-in-law, wake up!"
At this moment, Sun Qi was also tied to a pillar, and he looked nervously at Jiang Shuya on the ground.
"Sister-in-law, how are you? Wake up! Don't scare me."
Sun Qi was unable to move. Despite using all his strength to call out to Jiang Shuya on the ground, he was firmly bound and unable to break free of his shackles.
Jiang Shuya finally responded, lifting her eyelids. A bone-chilling coldness from the ground pressed against her face, and her mind gradually cleared. The ropes binding her body made her panic.
She subconsciously looked around and was shocked to find that the place was dark and cramped, the ground was made of rotten wood, and she could vaguely hear the sound of the river rippling outside.
She looked at Sun Qi's anxious face in horror and asked, "How did we get here?"
Sun Qi, too overwhelmed with joy to feel sad, exclaimed, "Sister-in-law, you're finally awake! That's wonderful!"
He seemed completely unaware of his condition, and Jiang Shuya's lucidity filled him with ecstasy.
"Sister-in-law, we've been kidnapped."
Before Sun Qi could finish speaking, the door lock creaked open, and several burly men walked in. The leader was none other than Huang Tao. He hadn't been seen for a year; he was unshaven, had grown long hair, and tied it in a ponytail. He was wearing work clothes that he had picked up from somewhere, which gave off an unpleasant smell. It was clear that he had been on the run for the past year and had not had a good time.
"Hehe, you're awake! Do you know why I kidnapped you? You haven't forgotten, have you?"
Huang Tao held a gleaming, white knife in his hand, making lewd gestures towards Jiang Shuya's face, then slowly moved it down to press against her chest.
"Huang Tao, please don't hurt her. I beg you, for the sake of us growing up together."
Sun Qi looked at the sharp knife in Huang Tao's hand in horror, fearing that he might have gone mad and harmed Jiang Shuya.
"Oh, you're still feeling sorry for her? This slut is quite the charmer, isn't she? Even our honest, simple-minded Sun Qi from Xixia Village is still hung up on her. Have you two slept with her? How about we give you a chance today to demonstrate for us?"
Huang Tao grinned lewdly, then took out his phone and snapped a few photos of Jiang Shuya. Dissatisfied with the dim lighting, he turned on the flash and took more pictures, then said to a man with a tattoo on his neck standing nearby, "Find a phone and send this photo to my cousin."
The man took the phone, backed away, and walked out. A guy next to him with an earring stuck out his tongue and said, "Brother Tao, this woman is gorgeous, I want to sleep with her right now."
Huang Tao kicked the man; "You think you can get past me? I haven't even had my turn yet!"
After saying that, he held the knife to Jiang Shuya's neck again:
"Tsk tsk, I really envy my cousin. He's so lucky with women, every single one of them is gorgeous. But so what? They're all mine now, haha."
"Huang Tao, please, don't hurt her. If you have any problems, come at me. Even Brother Hao won't let you get away with this."
Sun Qi pleaded desperately, her back already drenched in cold sweat.
Huang Tao grinned smugly, walked over, and poked his head with the tip of his knife.
"Haha, you say I'm afraid of my cousin? That's a joke! But don't worry, he'll be back to join you soon. Don't rush, be patient. The most important thing now is to get the money to ransom him."
Before he finished speaking, the gleaming dagger had already slashed across Sun Qi's face, and in an instant, a bright red gash appeared on his face.
"Enough with the nonsense. One million each, transfer it now. Don't tell me you don't have the money; I've heard you're all rolling in money. One million is nothing to you. I'm giving you a chance. Two million in hand, and we'll call it even."
Huang Tao pulled Jiang Shuya up from the ground, his smile twisted into a menacing grin; "And this woman, she has to make me feel good first, hahaha."
"Don't touch her. Will you let us go if you pay us?"
Sun Qi asked frantically, trying to find any chance of survival.
Huang Tao immediately kicked Sun Qi, then proceeded to punch and kick Jiang Shuya repeatedly while hurling insults at her.
Jiang Shuya, who was beaten to the point of collapse, could no longer make a sound. Sun Qi said angrily.
"Huang Tao, what kind of man are you? All you know how to do is hit women. You're a beast, a piece of trash, a monster in human form."
Huang Tao was indeed enraged and unleashed a flurry of punches at Sun Qi. He laughed desolately, "Go ahead and hit me. If you have the guts, kill me. If I die, no one will transfer money to you anymore. I don't want to live anyway. I know you never intended to let us go. Come on, have a quick death. If I die, it will be the end of it all, and I'll have no more worries."
Huang Tao's fist suddenly stopped. Sun Qi suddenly vomited blood, a cold smile spreading across her face, followed by a contemptuous grin. "Killing me won't change anything. You still won't get the money. If you still want it, release Jiang Shuya, and I'll transfer two million to your account soon. How about it?"
After saying that, he took a deep look at Jiang Shuya on the ground, and tears streamed down his face.
Jiang Shuya, dragging her aching body, looked up at Sun Qi. "No, don't try to kill yourself. We all need to live. Don't give your lives away so easily to others."
"That's right. Look at this woman, she values her life even more than you do. She obediently transfers the money; once she gets it, she can live."
Huang Tao lifted Jiang Shuya closer to Sun Qi, then let out a wicked laugh, "Look at this star-crossed couple. I wonder what my cousin thinks seeing this. But soon, he'll be here to meet you."
