Hearing her concern, Lin Moxiao's eyes welled up with tears. So many days of companionship had finally earned him a single, tender word from her. Before leaving, he kissed her forehead reluctantly, looking at her earnestly and saying:
"Honey, we'll get our marriage certificate after you're discharged from the hospital in a while. You promised me, so don't go back on your word."
Jiang Shuya didn't take it to heart:
"Is this important? I think it's okay if we don't, as long as our hearts are together and we deeply love each other, that's enough."
Because she genuinely felt that the instruction manual didn't mean anything and was dispensable.
Lin Moxiao smiled wickedly and couldn't resist flicking her nose.
"You're such a silly woman. That certificate is something many people dream of. The wealth my mother left me far exceeds the shares in Yunshang Garment. It's all in my name. With that certificate, you'll be Mrs. Lin, and you can rightfully enjoy everything I have."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Shuya chuckled, feigning interest.
"I really can't wait! Mr. Lin, which street would you like to take me to first?"
The two exchanged a knowing glance, their eyes filled with affection, and chuckled knowingly to each other.
At this moment, Sun Qi and Wang Tingting walked in. Jiang Shuya was surprised. After not seeing her for several months, she noticed that Wang Tingting's complexion was sallow. She came up to Jiang Shuya, as if she had something to say to her.
"Xiaoya, I'll go back first. You two chat, I'll come back tonight." Lin Moxiao said, then got up and left.
"Why do you look so pale? What happened?" Jiang Shuya asked anxiously.
With a sob in her voice, Wang Tingting tried hard to hide her sadness and murmured:
"I've been dismissed from the mall. It just happened yesterday. It's my fault; I didn't listen to Wen Qing's advice. I let her down."
"Ah, what's the reason? What mistake did you make? Why were you removed from the list? Isn't there an explanation?"
Wang Tingting choked up, hesitant to speak. Jiang Shuya was anxious and found her phone to ask Wen Qing in person, but before she could ask, Wen Qing walked in.
"She was fired for her conduct; she was having an affair with a married man. I warned her, but she wouldn't listen. She was still fantasizing that my cousin would divorce his wife and marry her. I know my cousin's character all too well; he's a womanizer, easily showing excessive concern for everyone, especially young girls—he's not a good person."
Wen Qing spoke bluntly and mercilessly, showing no fear of Wang Tingting's rebuttal; every word she uttered was sharp and succinct.
"Over the years, no matter how much my cousin has messed around outside, he just hasn't dared to divorce my sister-in-law because they signed a prenuptial agreement. My sister-in-law's family is the major shareholder in the shopping mall, and if they divorce, my cousin will leave with nothing."
Jiang Shuya understood. Wang Tingting had been discovered by the person in question and kicked out. She sighed deeply.
"So what are your plans for the future? How about working at my shop? We're about to invest in a food culture company, and you could help us pave the way. I happen to need some help too."
"Really? Can I do it?" Wang Tingting's eyes lit up, as if she had seen a glimmer of hope.
"Yes, don't worry, the salary and benefits shouldn't be bad, and if you do well, you can get a small share of the company." Jiang Shuya promised.
"Sister-in-law, I'll take her to my place and talk to her about the company registration process. You rest first." Sun Qi smiled and glanced at Wang Tingting before walking out with her.
Jiang Shuya stared blankly at their departing figures, and couldn't help but sigh.
"Thankfully, there's still time. Hopefully, things aren't too far off."
One month later
Inside the Dream City residence, two people were nestled together on the sofa. Jiang Shuya was leaning tightly against Lin Moxiao's chest, resting with her eyes closed. These days, she had been taken care of by this man in a meticulous manner, and she was becoming more and more dependent on him.
Lin Moxiao lowered his eyes, gazing intently at the person in his arms, nuzzling and kissing her face.
"Baby, are you feeling any better lately?" He whispered, his heart churning. He knew this woman possessed a mysterious allure that filled him with endless fantasies.
Jiang Shuya slowly opened her eyes. She remembered that she had been taking a bath in the bathtub after returning. How did she end up on the sofa? She subconsciously looked at her clothes and realized that she was wearing a set of fitted white silk pajamas.
She stared blankly at Lin Moxiao, while he smiled obsequiously.
"You were asleep, really. I was worried you'd catch a cold, and since it was past the appointed time, I carried you out."
"But I'm naked." Jiang Shuya blushed.
"So what? I've seen it all before. Don't be so reserved around me. I prefer you to open up to me."
Lin Moxiao didn't care at all, and reached one hand inside her clothes to gently stroke her.
"Xiaoya, how are you feeling? Are you feeling better? Can you...?" He panted, his warm, wet kisses licking her neck.
Jiang Shuya silently reciprocated his kisses. They lay intertwined on the sofa, his kisses landing on the nape of her neck. In their intimacy, she let out a soft moan, "Shuya, I love you… Tell me… do you love me… if you love me… give it to me."
Her heart pounded wildly with his kisses, and she dared not make a sound. Her face flushed as she yielded to his desires. The person in his arms became increasingly soft and delicate. He ripped off her clothes, carried her into the bedroom, and slipped into bed, eagerly beginning the passionate lovemaking he had been longing for for days.
"Ah...!" Jiang Shuya, who was pinned down by him, suddenly felt suffocated for no reason. The intense pressure on her chest caught her off guard.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" he asked gently.
"It's nothing...it was probably just the beginning...a little pain, but it's gone now."
She tried to hide it, hooking her arms around his neck and tilting her head back to kiss his lips. She really didn't want to spoil his interest on their first date after being discharged from the hospital.
The two kissed passionately, their breaths mingling in the bedroom. The two people on the bed writhed like snakes.
This is the most harmonious soul possession between the two ever.
That night, she felt completely drained, as he took from her again and again. He seemed never to get tired of it, enjoying himself immensely, until she cried out, her voice trembling with sobs. Only then did he realize that he shouldn't have been so greedy.
"Xiaoya, did I hurt you? I'm so sorry, I'm so awful, I lost control for a moment and forgot you were just discharged from the hospital."
He calmed himself down and turned to release her.
She immediately wrapped herself in the blanket and curled up into a ball, the stinging sensation below making her gasp.
"What's wrong? Let me see, where does it hurt?" He hugged her from behind.
She rolled over and landed on his chest, clenching her fists and pounding hard on his chest.
"Don't do it so many times, don't bully me."
He pulled her into a tight embrace and immediately swore, "Okay, I promise you, I'll never bully you again, just once."
