The three of them did not go into the house separately. Instead, they went together to room 217, which Wang Zixiang had chosen.
Although they entered the house, no one spoke. Zhao Yong and Xiao Qin searched the room and found several hidden cameras.
This is truly insidious. Even in the apocalypse, they're still doing this; I wonder if some people have a voyeuristic fetish or if this was specifically designed for them.
Everyone looked at each other, asking each other what to do.
"Don't move. Let them tear it down obediently tomorrow," Wang Zixiang said in a low voice.
"Alright, everyone go back and rest," Wang Zixiang said, then lay down on the bed and pretended to doze off.
The next morning, Liu Yanran came to wake the three of them up for breakfast.
Everyone followed them to the restaurant.
Liu Da, Liu Er, and Wang Weixiang all arrived, and they were led to the dining table by Liu Yanran. It was a small private room. To get to the private room, they passed through the restaurant, where some people were eating, each with someone standing beside them serving them food, water, and other necessities.
The people standing next to these people were all different. Most of them were young women, some were children, both men and women, and finally some were older women and men.
Wang Zixiang and his two companions observed the armed men. Among the men standing with young women, there were about ten or so. They looked healthy, strong, and upright, clearly skilled in martial arts. They also had an air of arrogance. They guessed that these were the ten men who often followed Liu Da.
The group of children standing there, with their rougher manners, were probably on a mission with Liu Er. Zhao Yong tapped them and recognized them somewhat. However, Zhao Yong was being very discreet this time, having disguised himself, grown a beard, and changed his hairstyle, so he was probably unrecognizable.
The last group, consisting of middle-aged women and men, was clearly a "ragtag army," demonstrating a very strict hierarchy.
"Good morning, all three of you. Please have a seat," Liu Da greeted them first.
Breakfast was quite plentiful, consisting of the usual breakfasts from City C: porridge, steamed buns, soy milk, fried dough sticks, eggs, various pancakes and pastries, and several stir-fried side dishes.
It's almost the same as before the apocalypse.
After the three greeted Liu Da and Liu Er, they sat down to eat. Once they were seated, the beautiful woman behind them came forward to serve them.
Liu Yanran stood behind Liu Da and skillfully arranged the food for him.
After dinner, Wang Zixiang and the others went to see the people infected with the half-corpse virus. Dr. Shen's medicine was very effective; those with milder symptoms showed some improvement, and the necrosis of those in the middle and later stages of the disease was also slowing down.
After another round of disinfection, they arrived at Liu Da's reception room. In fact, the people guarding the half-corpse virus had already reported this, and Liu Er went to see it again. Confirming that Wang Zixiang and his team could indeed treat the half-corpse virus, he became even more polite.
Upon arriving at the reception room, Wang Zixiang told Liu Da and Liu Er that injections were only one aspect; they also needed to be combined with medication to recover faster and prevent relapse. The most severe treatment course lasted seven days, during which injections would be administered continuously.
Ideally, even healthy people should take some medicine as a preventative measure. If there were enough medicinal materials, a vaccine could be made. They didn't have enough, and this treatment has almost exhausted their supplies.
Upon hearing that a vaccine could be developed, Liu's eyes widened. He had originally planned to report to his superiors and gain immense merit once he confirmed that the half-corpse virus could be cured. Now that there was a vaccine, wouldn't that bring him unimaginable wealth and fortune?
"Go and call Hu Cheng here," Liu Da ordered, and Liu Yanran left.
Hu Cheng was the unfortunate clinic doctor. When he came in, he was timid and hesitant, with his head down. After greeting everyone, he stood aside like a quail, waiting for instructions.
“This is our doctor, Hu Cheng,” Liu Da said to Wang Zixiang, then turned to Hu Cheng and said, “Hu Cheng, you will follow Dr. Wang’s instructions at any time. Provide any medicines or assistance you need.”
"Yes." Hearing this, Hu Cheng raised his head and said to Wang Zixiang, "Dr. Wang, please let me know if you need anything."
“Take us to see the pharmacy,” Wang Zixiang said.
Then he said to Liu Da, "Boss Liu, let's go take a look at the medicinal herbs."
Liu nodded with a grin.
After walking a few steps, Wang Zixiang turned around and said with a smile, "By the way, Boss Liu, we found some things in the room. We're not used to being watched, so we can't sleep."
Upon hearing this, Liu Da gave an awkward smile: "Dr. Wang, don't worry, I'll arrange for someone to clean it up. I'll make sure Dr. Wang gets a good night's sleep."
"Thank you for your trouble." After saying that, Wang Zixiang followed Hu Cheng to the pharmacy.
When they arrived at the pharmacy, they discovered that Liu Da and Liu Er were incredibly wealthy, possessing a vast quantity of medicines, filling an entire warehouse, as well as many of the items that Dr. Shen had previously listed for them to find.
Because of their search for supplies and participation in Dr. Shen's medical training courses, their knowledge of medicines has increased significantly compared to before the apocalypse.
The three of them swallowed hard as they looked at the medicines. If Dr. Shen saw this, he would be overjoyed. However, they cleverly concealed their envious expressions.
Hu Cheng had great respect for Wang Zixiang and his group. He already knew that a doctor who could treat the virus had come to the prison, and that those who had been treated had improved within a day.
He was very happy to be able to assist Wang Zixiang with his treatment and was particularly enthusiastic. Without them having to say anything, he introduced the pharmacy and the staff there about his condition and asked for their advice from time to time.
Wang Zixiang replied with a few enigmatic words, thinking to himself that this old man was too eager to learn; if he asked any more questions, he would be exposed.
Following Dr. Shen's prescription, Wang Zixiang instructed Hu Cheng to prepare the medicine for both those infected with the half-corpse virus and the healthy individuals. Most of the medicine used here was traditional Chinese medicine, given the poverty and large population of the villa area at the time. However, for the severely infected half-corpse virus patients, they found a suitable Western medicine that Dr. Shen had mentioned.
They then took some more medicine they needed and put it in their small box. In any case, they were determined to get the medicine back.
Besides treatment, they would also wander around the prison, intentionally or unintentionally, and of course, they would see the armed forces the most.
The three were originally honored guests at the prison, and with Wang Weifeng's guidance, they quickly became familiar with everyone.
When I returned to the guest room, the security camera had indeed been removed.
After two days of observation, their conclusions were similar to those of Wang Weifeng: it would be too difficult for them to break through, and they would suffer losses in ammunition and personnel. It seemed that medicine was the only option.
However, Liu Da and Liu Er were too vigilant; they hadn't taken any medicine. It seemed they would have to wait and pass on the message.
