Chapter 45 Aunt Li's Show of Power

At Song Ming's command, they pushed the boat over and set off for Heart Island.

Aunt Li was still reminding him, "Young man, be careful of their catapults."

"Hmph." Song Ming snorted softly.

They arrived at Heart Island without incident, boarded the boat and went ashore. There were still only the sounds of wind and flowing water, no barking dogs, no human voices, and the villa door was tightly closed.

Song Ming and his gang didn't know if anyone was around. He nodded, and two of his underlings, holding pistols, crept stealthily towards the gate.

Their gate has also been modified so that you can't see inside from the outside, unlike the original iron gate provided by the developer, which was open and allowed people to see into the yard from the outside.

The two henchmen pressed their ears against the door and listened quietly for a while. Then they turned to Song Ming and said, "Boss, no one's here."

Song Ming waved his hand: "Break down the door."

"Yes." One of the henchmen made a move to ram the door, but was quickly pulled back by the person next to him. "Are you made of steel? You think you can break down this door?"

He quickly took out a flexible ladder, climbed over the wall using the ladder, and opened the gate.

There was indeed no one inside. They then went to Li Huaqiang's house, but there was no one there either.

"Damn it, they got away!" someone cursed.

"Go and pack up the supplies," Song Ming instructed.

The group then split up and went to two houses to collect supplies.

Song Ming toured Li Huasheng's house; the decor and furnishings were a hundred times better than Ye Yunyi's. Not only were there vegetables growing in the yard, but the entire Heart Island had also been developed.

However, there weren't as many supplies as Li Biao and Aunt Li had mentioned.

"Old woman, didn't you say they had a lot of supplies? Where are the supplies?" The man called Uncle Wang grabbed Aunt Li's collar and said fiercely.

"I, I, I don't know! They really do run a supermarket in the neighborhood. I guess they heard your gunshots yesterday and ran away with their supplies. Not that I'm saying anything, but we should have struck while the iron was hot yesterday, otherwise they would have all gotten away." Aunt Li really wasn't afraid of death.

"Old woman, do you want to die? What are you saying?" These words enraged Uncle Wang, who grabbed his pistol and shot Aunt Li on the head.

"No, no, boss, help me! I have a way to fix it, I have a way!" Aunt Li cried out.

Unfortunately, Li Biao was injured and couldn't come. Aunt Li originally thought she would make a great contribution this time, but she didn't expect that the fat sheep would escape. She cried and begged for mercy while her mind raced.

"Yes, yes, it's all the property management's fault. They let them go. If we take them into custody, no one will dare to run away." Aunt Li looked at the supplies that everyone had gathered in the small room and thought, "That's quite a lot." Her eyes darted around, and she smiled ingratiatingly, "Mr. Li has a large family. Six months have passed, and they've probably eaten a lot. This is enough to last us for a while. There are still so many people in the villa area. We can go door-to-door and find more supplies." After saying that, she walked up to Song Ming, her wrinkled face beaming like a chrysanthemum, "Boss Song, don't you agree?"

Song Ming didn't hear anything else, but he did hear the word "property management".

He ignored Aunt Li, but turned to Xiao Feng behind him and said, "Go, you and Aunt Li go and find the property management for me."

“Yes, boss,” Xiao Feng replied.

"Okay, okay, I'll go, I'll go." Aunt Li felt smug when she saw that Song Ming had accepted her suggestion even though he ignored her.

"Come on, Xiaofeng, I'll take you to the property management office." She said to Xiaofeng as she walked out the door.

After crossing the river by boat, Xiao Feng picked up another person and drove Li Biao's beat-up car toward the property management office.

The property management office was deserted, but a group of property management staff were still in the residential area. Gao Zhibing, the property manager who had previously committed crimes with Li Biao, saw Aunt Li arrive, followed by a polite and well-mannered young man.

Although the young man was polite and reasonable, he always gave people a feeling of being unapproachable. He knew that this was the group of people brought by Li Biao, so he greeted them with a big smile, "Aunt Li, what brings you here?"

Although Aunt Li was terribly timid just now, it didn't stop her from showing off her power now.

"Old Gao, you know, our boss came to our neighborhood yesterday, but you guys were really incompetent, weren't you?" She used to call him Manager Gao, but last time Gao Zhibing followed Li Biao and flattered her countless times, so now he's putting on that arrogant act again.

"Not only did you let Ye Yunyi's family escape, but you also let Boss Li's family escape last night. Do you know how much loss you caused me?" She said sternly, looking at Gao Zhibing with her triangular eyes. Her fierce appearance was just like that of a demon from hell.

"Oh dear, Aunt Li, this isn't our fault. We're just barely surviving, how can we possibly control them?" Gao Zhibing said, his voice trembling with tears.

"Hmph, you can't do anything about it even if you give it to me. I'm just kindly reminding you, you should take your men and go see our Boss Song." Aunt Li has already taken advantage of Gao Zhibing enough, and there's nothing she can do about it, especially since Xiao Feng hasn't even spoken yet.

Xiao Feng also gave the stage to Aunt Li. He didn't say a word the whole time; he just liked watching others perform quietly.

"Okay, okay, we'll go right away." Gao Zhibing said, bowing and scraping, but when he turned to his employees, he had a completely different attitude.

"Let's go, Boss Song has summoned us. Pack your things, everyone come with me."

And so, the dozen or so property staff obediently followed Xiaofeng and Aunt Li to Heart Island.

In Li Huasheng's living room, Song Ming sat at the head of the table, with one person standing on each side of him, looking every bit like a gang leader.

As they entered the living room, Aunt Li said humbly, "Mr. Song, look, I've brought all the property management staff with you."

“Okay,” Song Mingqing said. He looked at Gao Zhibing, who immediately stepped forward and said, “I am the property manager, I am Gao Zhibing. Boss, what are your orders? Just tell us and we will do it. I will definitely do it for you.”

As expected of a manager, he immediately pledged his loyalty upon arrival.

"How many of you are there? Are you skilled in martial arts? Do you have guns?" Song Ming asked.

“We originally had 20 people, but 4 of them have turned into zombies. There are 16 of us left, all here. Xiao Deng and Xiao Qin are veterans. They know martial arts and how to use guns. The others are ordinary people we recruited. We don’t have guns.”

Xiao Deng, who had been keeping a low profile, was suddenly called out and thought to himself, "Get lost, I'm doomed, who wants to be in cahoots with you guys?"

Song Ming looked in the direction Gao Zhibing was pointing. Although Xiao Deng and Xiao Qin were thin, their overall spirit and posture were different from the others.
