Li Ke drove the car, listening to the route given by the burly man beside him who had been trained, and headed towards the Seventh District.
The car did not enter the villa area of District Seven, but instead circled around the villa area and went deep into the rear, continuing towards the hillside.
Even though Tanaka had made the most careful arrangements, Zhuang Yihao's men still spotted Li Ke as soon as she drove into the villa area and reported it.
Upon hearing this news, Zhuang Yihao immediately stood up. He hadn't expected Tanaka to be so impatient, bringing Li Ke over so quickly and recklessly. This guy's behavior was becoming increasingly reckless and unscrupulous.
If he continues down this path, he will eventually ruin them all!
"Go arrange for people to stop the car immediately. We can't let Tanaka's men succeed in arresting them," Zhuang Yihao immediately ordered his men.
After his subordinate left, Zhuang Yihao beckoned someone over and asked, "Have all the maids we hired today come to report for duty? There's one named Li Meng, has she come?"
"Everyone has come to report for duty. Li Meng is here too, and she's having her job interview in the lobby." The person in charge of recruitment answered quickly. He wasn't sure if the method would work, but he decided to do it anyway. He just hadn't expected Tanaka, that reckless guy, to act so hastily, disrupting his plans.
He instructed his men to keep Li Meng calm and to keep a close watch on her, as he might need her at any time.
After confirming Li Meng's whereabouts, Zhuang Yihao began to dress and prepare to go out. He asked the servant beside him, "Where is the young master?"
"Young Master went to rest in the basement of the inner quarters yesterday, and he hasn't returned today," the servant replied.
Zhuang Yihao frowned, feeling slightly disappointed. He ordered his men, "Go, find him and explain the situation to him. Tell him to hurry up."
Zhuang Yihao gave a few more instructions, then left the villa without waiting for anyone else, got into his car, and headed towards the back hillside.
Li Ke's car slowed down as it drove further on, firstly because the road was difficult to navigate, and secondly because there were people clearing snow from the road.
Just as we were about to leave the villa area, the car stopped because the road ahead was blocked by a small snow-capped mountain.
The burly man in the driver's seat cursed and said to Li Ke, "Someone's up to no good, I'll go check it out." Then he pushed open the car door and limped towards the snowdrift.
Li Ke vaguely saw that there were people moving behind the small snow mountain. Ignoring the driver who was limping on the road, she stepped on the gas and crashed into the snow mountain.
The car failed to make it across, but it did knock down part of the snow-capped mountain. After the car stopped, Li Ke kicked open the door, took the gun, and got out.
Looking at the workers behind the snowdrifts, pretending to clear snow with shovels, Li Ke asked directly, "Whose people are you? Does your boss want to give me a hard time at the door?"
The lame driver had already arrived. He held his leg and replied in pain, "They're not my boss's men, they're another bunch of bastards. If you're ruthless enough, just kill them."
Upon hearing the lame driver's words, the group of men immediately pulled out pistols from their pockets and pointed them at Li Ke and the lame driver.
Li Ke's pistol was also steadily pointed at the group opposite her. She asked, "Whose people are you? What's the meaning of blocking our way here?"
The guns on the other side remained pointed at Li Ke even after he asked the question. One of the men, who seemed to be the leader, sneered and said, "What a coincidence, our boss also wants to invite you to his home. The road ahead is blocked, so why don't you come with us? We'll take care of that piece of trash next to you for you, how about that?"
“There’s a first-come, first-served order to everything. Your boss is at the back of the line, so why don’t you ask him to wait a bit longer, or come with me to the front for a walk?” Li Ke replied casually.
"Who do you think you are? You expect our boss to wait for you? I advise you to behave yourself, otherwise, we'll cripple your hands and feet and then take you there, it'll be the same." The leader replied with a sarcastic smile.
Since the other party had said that, Li Ke could naturally tell that they were up to no good. It was Tanaka who had led her here, and Tanaka was certainly no good person.
But the person blocking the way was no pushover either. Li Ke pondered their background: was it the Zhuang family, the Qin family, or some kind of snakehead? It seemed the Qin family's area was quite lively.
