Chapter 143 Aiding the Wrongdoer

At five o'clock in the evening, as night had fallen, Li Ke put all his belongings into his spatial storage, changed into his stealth gear, and headed towards the Seventh District.

Her first target was Chen Ziyue's house. Their villa was located behind the Qin family's house and was also quite large, but because there were fewer people, it looked much more spacious than the Qin family's house.

Li Ke climbed over the wall and observed for a while. In such cold weather, there was hardly anyone in the courtyard.

After climbing into the yard, Li Ke jumped into the snowdrift and walked towards the main path in the yard, filling in the traces she left behind as she retreated.

Li Ke had carefully observed the villa. Upon approaching it, he first went to the shed in the backyard and stored several trucks covered with dustproof tarpaulins into his spatial storage. Then he went straight to the back door, took out a set of master keys, tried two keys, and finally the door lock turned successfully.

Li Ke gently pushed open the back door and slipped inside. The room was dimly lit and quiet, as most people were huddled in their beds due to the cold weather.

Wearing soft indoor cotton socks and shoes, Li Ke carefully explored the Chen family's villa. Chen Ziyue's family's supplies were piled up on the first and second floors, distributed in the storage room and living room.

The Chen family seemed to have dismissed all the guards and bodyguards, and the entire villa was very quiet. Li Ke searched inside and could occasionally hear some indistinct sounds from the rooms.

She skipped over any rooms she suspected were occupied, and after taking away most of the visible supplies and food, Li Ke quietly left the Chen family's villa.

The Chen family may still have some support, but they will definitely have to go out and find something to do in the future, or they may have to join the refugees in the shelter. The Zuo family will not have an easy time either, and of course they will no longer be able to rely on the Chen family.

Li Ke never intended to wipe out Chen Ziyue's family; he just felt that it was unreasonable for people like them to be living so comfortably.

After leaving the Chen family villa, Li Ke ran to the back of the Qin family villa. The Qin family villa was much more heavily guarded. Li Ke filled the snow pits she had left behind while carefully avoiding the eyes of the patrolling guards. Fortunately, she had a spatial ability to cheat. Although it took some effort, she finally managed to sneak into the Qin family villa.

The Qin family villa was also very quiet. Li Ke avoided people and walked towards the light. She found the room of Qin Lisen, the master of the Qin family. When she pushed open the door, Qin Lisen was sitting on the bed reading a book.

Li Ke hid behind the wall, listening to the other party's movements. Qin Lisen put down the book in his hand and wondered why the door had suddenly opened. He got out of bed and walked over. As soon as he stepped out of the door, a dagger grazed his neck and was at his throat.

Just as Qin Lisen was about to turn his head to look at the other person, the man pushed him into the room. The metal blade was just touching his neck when it suddenly turned half a circle. The other person's hand was very steady, but Qin Lisen was terrified and broke out in a cold sweat.

The tall figure appeared suddenly like a ghost and took him hostage. A deep, cold male voice rang in Qin Lisen's ear: "Don't make a sound, or I'll make your granddaughter go with you."

Qin Lisen took a deep breath, held it, and carefully replied, "I will do whatever you want, but please don't hurt my granddaughter."

Li Ke pushed Qin Lisen into the room, closed the door, and then asked, "Where are Zhuang Weifeng and his men?"

Qin Lisen didn't know why the visitor asked about Zhuang Weifeng, but he still gave a detailed account of Zhuang Weifeng's address.

"I heard your son and daughter-in-law have been arrested. You're now working for foreign countries, returning to China as a spy." The voice from the shadowy figure sent a chill down Qin Lisen's spine. He hadn't expected the person to know even this, and he couldn't quite figure out what this person's stance was.

"What exactly is your purpose in coming here? I just want my family to live," Qin Lisen said cautiously.

Li Ke sneered: "You want your family to live, so you're going to follow the Zhuang family and aid and abet the evildoers, harming other disaster victims along the way? A hypocrite like you deserves to be torn to pieces!"

Qin Lisen's face turned deathly pale. He thought that a surviving disaster victim had come to seek revenge. He said in a trembling voice, "You are right. I do deserve to die. I only beg you to spare my granddaughter. She was unaware of what was going on."

"Don't rush. Killing you would dirty my hands. You must atone for your sins with your own death. Zhuang Yihao and his group are already dead. I want you to tell the law enforcement team everything you know, and you must also contribute the supplies you hid to the shelter. As long as you do these things, I won't touch your granddaughter. By the way, let me tell you, your son and daughter-in-law are already dead. They were just using you."

Qin Lisen was shocked and tried to turn around, but Li Ke's blade held him back, preventing him from moving. Ignoring the pain from his cut, he asked urgently, "Is what you said true? Did Zhuang Yihao tell you? But he clearly told me that he would guarantee the safety of my son and the others."

"You actually believe the words of a shameless scoundrel? I've said my piece. I'm giving you only one week. If you don't do what I said within this week, I'll personally send you and your granddaughter on their way. Don't blame me for being ruthless then." After saying these last words, Li Ke decisively knocked Qin Lisen unconscious, then tied him up, covered his head, and put him into her spatial storage.

After leaving the house, Li Ke followed the route Qin Lisen had given her to find Zhuang Weifeng, but Zhuang Weifeng's bedroom was empty and no one was there. Finally, Li Ke arrived at the room with the basement that Qin Lisen had mentioned.

There was a single bed in the dimly lit room. There should have been someone on the bed, but that person was completely burrowed under the covers, doing nothing. Li Ke unlocked the door and came in. There was a large bulge on the bed, but the person inside didn't react at all.
