Li Ke turned her head to look at the lifeless person on the bed. Had she managed to kill the leader of this place as soon as she came out? She was lucky, but also troublesome, as she had alerted others again.
No wonder, with an empty courtyard of supplies, it would be unreasonable not to be more vigilant.
The person outside pushed open the door, and Li Ke shot him in the head, sending him on his way. The people downstairs also began to fight back, with bright lights mixed with bullets rushing into the room.
Li Ke hid behind the wall, threw out more than a dozen smoke grenades and tear gas canisters, and heard the painful coughing of people outside and the sounds of people shouting and scattering everywhere. Li Ke put the bed, the corpse, and the cement into his space, rushed out of the room, and began indiscriminate shooting.
Using the elevator, he jumped directly from the third floor, firing his gun and throwing grenades at the same time. Everyone around him was an enemy, and Li Ke had no scruples at this moment.
Once the commotion subsided, Li Ke threw a bunch of tear gas canisters into another courtyard, then broke through the gate connecting the two courtyards and began harvesting.
Less than half an hour later, the gunfire stopped, and a fire suddenly broke out. Li Ke frowned as he watched the fire blaze up rapidly. The fire was burning extremely fast and fiercely, clearly indicating that something had been added to accelerate it. These people were indeed very decisive.
Under these circumstances, Li Ke strongly suspected that they had made other arrangements, and it was probably no longer possible to wipe out everyone here in one fell swoop.
Fortunately, Li Ke has been very cautious since he came out this time, and has not released anything big from his space to assist him. At most, he has released smoke grenades, tear gas, and machine guns.
Smoke grenades were continuously being thrown, which also concealed some of the abnormalities on Li Ke's body. Ignoring the raging fire, Li Ke continued to search for and kill targets while running towards the warehouses.
She needed to find out whether these people had moved the items or were planning to destroy the site so that no one could benefit from it.
Anyone who resists fiercely on the way should be killed. Those who are easy to deal with or who surrender should be knocked unconscious and thrown into the space container. They can be interrogated after the items are collected.
Li Ke searched several rooms and found that the storage capacity was significantly reduced, not even a quarter of the supplies found in the first courtyard.
Li Ke collected the remaining items and continued searching. When he got close to the area with the most intense fire, he could no longer proceed. However, Li Ke could see piles of supplies in the flames, which filled him with anger and resentment, but he was helpless.
She gave up on those and found some small supplies, which Li Ke put away. Then she started looking for an exit, trying to see where those people had started from to move the things away.
Unfortunately, the fire grew larger and larger, and Li Ke ultimately found nothing and had to retreat. She ran to a high slope outside and kept watch, looking around to see if anyone had escaped.
Once the smoke cleared and the fire subsided, Li Ke still needed to check if any survivors had escaped from the yard.
Li Ke remained huddled in the snow cave until dawn, when the fire finally subsided. After waiting a while longer, she entered the garden, camouflaged in snow. She had five prisoners in her spatial storage, and after searching the garden, she found only twelve corpses.
So, after making such a big fuss this time, and considering those unsuspecting people she harvested in the first garden, she only left thirty people here.
Li Ke didn't sense any danger in the already damaged garden, but she still searched carefully. Once she was sure there would be no more gains, she quickly retreated and didn't linger.
At least half of the people here were successfully evacuated, and the small amount of supplies that Li Ke collected later consisted of some insignificant daily necessities.
There was almost no essential weapon fuel or supplies. After discovering this, Li Ke became very cautious in her subsequent actions. She was unsure if there were any other birds lurking beyond the high ground. After that, she did not use the space again unless she had an absolutely safe vantage point.
Despite the pain from her wound, Li Ke ignored it and continued to slide quickly through the snow until she was far away from the garden that had been ravaged by the fire. Once she felt safe, she dug a snow hole, crawled back in, sealed the entrance, and entered her spatial dimension.
Before Liu Jingyan could answer Li Meng's question, He Ru, who had heard her daughter's voice from inside the room, hurriedly climbed off the bed and ran towards the door: "Mengmeng, is my Mengmeng back?"
Upon hearing her mother's voice, tears welled up in Li Meng's eyes, and she threw herself into her mother's arms, exclaiming, "Mom, I'm back!"
Wang Zhuo, who was sleeping soundly in bed, was suddenly awakened. He saw Li Meng embracing his mother-in-law at the door. He was stunned, but a surge of joy welled up in his heart. Then he saw the youthful and pretty Liu Jingyan next to him, and his feelings became complicated and disappointed.
Suddenly meeting Li Meng's cold gaze, Wang Zhuo, still a little dazed, shuddered, immediately put on his clothes, got out of bed, and walked towards the group: "It's good that she's back, it's good that she's back. I'm still a bit dazed."
Li Meng stepped out of He Ru's embrace, her excitement subsiding somewhat. She stared coldly at Wang Zhuo and said, "You probably secretly hope I die out there, don't you?"
On the way back, Xia Qing had already told Li Meng that the shelter had secured 1,000 work points of compensation for her injury or death from the Qin family, as well as 360 work points of work compensation, and the shelter had also given her an additional 500 work points of subsidy.
However, since her case had not yet been resolved and her child had been in poor health, the brigade leader approved 1,000 work points so that her family could improve their lives.
Li Meng felt very grateful to the shelter and the law enforcement team. She vaguely felt that she was able to receive so much compensation, probably because of Ke Ke.
Xia Qing then told Li Meng that the enforcement team had given out the 1,000 work points and would not take them back. However, since Li Meng had returned, the remaining 860 work points would not be distributed.
