Chapter 220 Replaced

Li Ke's estimation of the location was good, and he soon dug up one of the man's shoulders. Once the man's part was freed, he started to move. Li Ke took out a tube of strong anesthetic and injected it. After seeing that the man was no longer moving, he dug the back of the man's head out of the ground.

After removing the gas mask from behind, they still gagged the other person, covered their head with a black cloth, then slowly collected the dirt from other areas, stripped them of their clothes and equipment, and then tied them up and hung them up.

Li Ke went to a nearby container and found a man of similar build to the one in question. This man was one of the traitors at her defensive post.

He stabbed the man awake, then took the gun and made him change into the clothes he had brought. After the man was dressed, he twisted his neck and broke it, then put a gas mask on him.

Carrying the body out of the space, Li Ke put away the bomb on the nearby table, placed the body on a chair, and then suddenly exclaimed in panic, "Hey! Brother, what's wrong with you? Are you having a relapse? Someone come quick..."

Li Ke shouted and ran towards the door. The flimsy wooden door was kicked open, and the two men guarding the door rushed in first: "What's going on? What happened?"

As soon as the two men entered, one went to look at the person lying on the chair, while the other pointed a gun at Li Ke. However, before they could make any moves, Li Ke was already one step ahead, firing both of his silenced pistols at the two men's heads simultaneously.

As soon as the two men fell, Li Ke fired another shot each of them in the head. Then he switched to a machine gun, half-hiding by the doorway, and began firing at the people rushing up below. At the same time, he frantically threw piles of earth from the space down, burying everyone and everything in the room below.

Li Ke took the gun and began a quick search of the adjacent rooms. After confirming that no one else had been missed, she began to collect all the household items from the rooms, leaving not a single loose thread behind.

Once down there, Li Ke looked at the earthen mound that had completely buried the three rooms and nodded in satisfaction. This soil was all that she had previously collected in her spatial storage; it was uncontaminated and would come in very handy today.

First, she cleaned up the soil outside the room and the people buried in it. Li Ke counted them; there were five dead people, plus the man she had negotiated with, making a total of nine people alive and whom she had tied up.

So, there are thirteen people buried in those three rooms. These thirteen people have been sealed off for ten minutes. The main structure of these three rooms is made of earth, wood and stone. They don't look very sturdy, but they might not necessarily collapse under the weight.

The people inside might be digging themselves out right now. Li Ke thought for a moment, then added another two times the amount of sandbags. He then sat on the high place, resting and observing the situation below while thinking about what to do next.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, Li Ke saw signs of movement in a mound of earth below. Then, a cannon blast rang out, and an exit was blasted out of the mound, from which a group of people ran out.

Just as they were running and looking around, they were buried underground again by the cascading earth. Li Ke had already put away the sandbags and lay prone on the earthen mound, ready to bury anyone who came out.

The exit that had just been blasted open was buried again. Li Ke had just counted and there were about six or seven people who had just escaped, while the remaining half remained.

Li Ke thickened the exit area even more, then put all the people and soil that had just been buried outside back into his spatial storage, and tied them all up.

When Li Ke came out again, he confirmed that there were only five women and two men left in the room.

Soon they made a move again. This time they chose a different exit on the opposite side and did not use artillery fire to blast open the exit. Li Ke lay prone on the mountaintop, covered with a layer of soil to hide himself.

Watching the seven of them, each carrying a machine gun, cautiously emerge from the cave back to back, Li Ke, after confirming that everyone had come out, once again slammed down a mound of earth, burying them all in one fell swoop and then storing them in his spatial storage to bind them.

After clearing the soil from the three rooms, Li Ke also stored all the supplies and weapons from the partially collapsed rooms into his spatial storage. This trip was definitely worthwhile.

Li Ke randomly interrogated one of the people in the space, asking if there were any other exits from the cave. The person was very stubborn, and Li Ke had to use extreme torture to get the information that there was another exit and its location. This really pushed Li Ke's methods to their limits, which made her very unhappy.

Li Ke found another exit, but instead of going down into the tunnel, he moved other soil and rocks from the cave to seal it up completely. He even brought out a rammer and rammed it for a while.

After searching one last time to make sure no yarn was missed, Li Ke went to the small pond and tested its water quality. It was not drinkable and was the same as the water outside.

It seems that the water in this pool may not necessarily be groundwater. Perhaps there is an outlet on the other side of the pool. After thinking about it, Li Ke began to collect the water here. Although she didn't use it, she could purify it for Song Xian and the others.

But after half an hour of pumping, the water level had only dropped by less than ten centimeters. It seemed that she couldn't drain the water here, so Li Ke stopped and walked out of the cave.

The sky was already slightly bright, and the rain outside had not yet stopped, but Li Ke was in a hurry to go back and deal with things. After sealing off the entrance to the cave, he took precautions and rushed into the rain.

Back at the deserted defensive post, it was nearly noon. Li Ke's protective gear was completely worn out; the rainwater was highly corrosive, and it was already quite good that the gear had lasted for more than four hours.

Li Ke's space actually contains a number of custom-made metal and plastic umbrellas of various materials, coated with anti-corrosion materials, but so far none of them have been used.
