Chapter 224 Time Bomb

Li Ke didn't listen to his nonsense. The line had come to an end; there was nothing unusual or unusual in the video, and no one was there.

Li Ke said to Niu Dazhuang, "I want to go down."

Niu Dazhuang: "I'll go with you. I can help you if anything happens."

Li Ke took out a few rings from her bag: "Come here, I'll give you some nice things."

Niu Dazhuang curiously moved closer, and Li Ke grabbed one of the rings and put it around his neck. With a "click," the ring locked itself.

Niu Dazhuang tugged at it; it was quite sturdy. Curious, he asked, "What is this thing? Why are you putting this on me?"

Li Ke then attached the two smaller ones to his wrists before saying, "Time bombs. If I don't come out within forty minutes, the miniature bombs inside can send you to see your great-grandmother instantly."

Niu Dazhuang quickly let go of his hands that were pulling and examining him, and said somewhat impatiently, "I've never seen my great-grandmother, and she's never seen me either. It'll be hard for us to find each other."

Li Ke put the remaining bracelet on her wrist and pressed a button. The three rings on Niu Dazhuang's body beeped and red indicator lights appeared.

"If anything seems amiss outside, I can press the detonation button at any time. So, stay put up there. Also, if we are more than a kilometer apart, the bomb will detonate automatically. Make sure to guard the exit."

After saying that, Li Ke tied the safety rope to the rock, took the endoscope, and entered the cave with his backpack, leaving Niu Dazhuang with only an entrenching tool and three time bombs.

Niu Dazhuang shouted towards the cave entrance, "You really don't need to do this. Just say the word, and I'll obey you through fire and water. There's no need to be so distant."

Li Ke didn't give him any response. He changed to a new helmet midway through, set up two safety bars in the concrete passage, and added a safety rope for himself.

Two meters above the ground, Li Ke extended his camera to observe the situation again, then threw down a corpse. After confirming that there were no abnormalities, he slowly descended to the ground.

The air quality below was not bad, not as stuffy as Li Ke had imagined. Under the light of his headlamp, a huge mountain of grain appeared before him, all packaged in vacuum-sealed compressed bags.

Li Ke collected the corpses on the ground and looked at the warehouse. With such a large amount of supplies, Boss Cheng must have been prepared for the apocalypse.

They carefully took two more steps forward, but still found nothing unusual. Apart from being a bit difficult to hide, there didn't seem to be any traps or hidden weapons underneath this warehouse.

With that in mind, Li Ke still took out a riot shield and kept a watchful eye as she walked. She was so careful thanks to the lessons taught to her by the Poison Fang group.
