Li Ke asked, "Did you see how many people there are? Such a big city isn't so easy to surround."
The man replied, "I saw nearly two hundred motorcycles, all carrying people, and more than two hundred skateboarders. They were searching as they went, and they would get here in about ten minutes."
Li Ke had originally planned to ambush and wipe them all out if there weren't many of them, but after hearing the number, she decisively gave up, grabbed Xiao Guang who had packed his things, and ran towards the window.
Before coming in, she had already scouted out the exit. The second floor was the perfect spot, the fastest way to jump out the window.
Mo Zuo and his men returned to the next room, packed their things, and then jumped out of the window to the ground. This time, they lost sight of Li Ke again.
Li Ke didn't run far; she simply climbed back down to the first floor and saw Mo Zuo and his men running towards the back door before she led Xiao Guang to the underground parking lot.
Li Ke led Xiao Guang into the engine room and said to Xiao Guang, "I'll hide you in the cloth box. You can sleep in there for a while. I'll let you out when we're safe, okay?"
Xiao Guang nodded, then asked with some confusion, "Where is the cloth box?"
Li Ke took out a stand and a thick dust bag from her backpack and began assembling them, asking Xiao Guang, "Are you afraid of the dark?"
Xiao Guang shook his head: "Don't be afraid, it was very dark inside the wall before."
Li Ke assembled a storage box measuring 120 x 60 x 70, put a small mat, a nightlight, and some children's toys inside, and then put Xiao Guang inside.
After giving Xiaoguang a walkie-talkie and telling her how to use it, I said, "If you feel uncomfortable here, or if anything happens, you can contact me using this walkie-talkie."
Xiao Guang nodded seriously. Li Ke asked her if she needed to use the restroom. When she shook her head, she used a red-hot wire to make some small vents on the cloth cover before closing the cover and zipping it up.
With his palm on the vent, Li Ke put the cloth box and Xiao Guang into his spatial storage. He found a ventilated wooden box of similar size, put the cloth box inside, and locked it to prevent Xiao Guang from running out.
They found another dark shipping container, placed the wooden crates inside, and Li Ke asked Xiao Guang from outside, "Is it stuffy in there? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"
Xiao Guang's voice was still cheerful: "It's not stuffy at all. It's so comfortable in here. It's much better than where I used to live. Big brother, do you want to come in and hide away too?"
Li Ke listened to Xiao Guang's voice and found that there was nothing wrong, so she let her rest inside first. She then left the container and entered the villa in the space. The three dogs heard the door open and immediately started barking anxiously.
Li Ke played with the three little ones for a while, then washed up and went to the supplies area to find a few larger and more suitable square tents. Feeling sleepy, Li Ke took a nap. After waking up, she used wooden planks to assemble a wooden box frame that could hold the tents.
In the future, if she needs to enter the space again, even if Xiao Guang is locked up, we can still give her a large enough living area so that she can sleep more comfortably.
The premise is that this little guy has to continue to be obedient like he is now. In short, Li Ke has a secret about his space, which he cannot let anyone know.
Mo Cheng and his five guards had just escaped the second wave of searches in the city and were now huddled in a ventilation duct near the subway. Half of their luggage was missing, and two of them were injured. They were in a very sorry state.
They were originally a group of twenty guards, but half an hour after the group left the roadblock, they were ambushed shortly after starting their motorcycles. By the time everyone escaped from the ambush, only twelve people remained in the group.
Unable to ride the motorcycles any longer, they had to abandon them for the time being. The group hid and ran for several more hours, but before they could rest, they were met with a second, more thorough search.
They sent two men out to try and break through the encirclement to deliver a message, while five others dispersed to distract the enemy and create an opportunity for the remaining five to escape.
The two injured guards, one in the arm and the other in the thigh, received basic first aid and have not yet developed a fever.
Mo Cheng took the small bag of biscuits and water from the guard. He didn't really have an appetite at the moment, but he had exhausted a lot of energy and couldn't go without eating.
From the moment he woke up, he began to flee with the guards. This was the first time in his life that he had risked his life like this. He was really tired and in great pain.
But Mo Cheng knew he had to hold on. With Mo Zuo not around, as a leader, he absolutely could not show any fear.
After the meal, both wounded patients developed fevers. The group gave them painkillers and fever reducers, and then cleaned and bandaged their wounds again. They were temporarily unable to move.
One of the guards, leaning against the pipe, said, "Hopefully they can break through the encirclement, send the message out, or meet up with the captain."
Mo Cheng said with his eyes closed, "Their second search was obviously more thorough and more purposeful. I think they probably know my identity as well. They must be cooperating with Fu Hua's group. We are in a very bad situation now."
The two guards exchanged a glance and said to Mo Cheng, "Don't worry, young man. No matter what, we will find a way to get you back safely."
Mo Cheng was well aware of the pessimistic reality: "Your lives matter too. My bottom line is that you cannot be betrayed or sold out. In special circumstances, if everyone should run for their lives, then run for your lives. I will not blame you."
One of the guards comforted him, "We haven't reached that point yet. The captain must be looking for us. As soon as he sees our markings, he'll definitely meet up with us."
