A group of people entered the casino. On the second basement floor, there were slot machines, pai gow, baccarat, dice, roulette, mahjong, poker, and all sorts of other gambling games.
When they arrived at the sentry post at dusk, it was very quiet, and it seemed that only Li Ke and his group were there. But when they entered the underground entertainment center and saw people coming and going, they realized that there were actually quite a lot of people here.
The group strolled slowly through the gambling area, observing everything. Mo Cheng walked beside his great-uncle and whispered, "Great-uncle, are you very good at gambling? You have to help us win some pocket money later."
His great-uncle frowned slightly as he looked at him: "You only want to win some pocket money? That's so unambitious."
Mo Cheng and Mo Bao'er exchanged a glance, both of them becoming excited, listening to their great-uncle who seemed to be a master.
Today, four people entered the venue and contributed their betting funds: Mo Cheng, Mo Bao'er, Li Ke, and Uncle Mo. The rest, as attendants, naturally did not contribute any more funds, but if they wanted to play a couple of rounds, they could use the combined betting funds of the four of them.
Casinos welcome anyone willing to gamble and with enough money.
Mo Bao'er looked at her great-uncle with starry eyes: "Great-uncle is mighty! Great-uncle, take us flying!"
Uncle Mo, leading a group of younger members, walked with a smile to a poker table and watched with a confident expression: "No rush, let's take a look before we join the game."
Li Ke watched from outside for a while. Poker was easy to understand, but playing it required both luck and skill. Li Ke had played children's games before, the very simple kind.
But the rules and gameplay at this card table are a bit more complicated. Knowing that she didn't quite understand, Mo Bao'er quietly explained them to her from the side.
Li Ke listened and watched, but only felt he understood about 40-50% of what was going on. Before he could figure out what was happening, the player he was watching had already lost, even though Mo Bao'er's description suggested his hand was quite good.
Mo Bao'er said regretfully, "He and his partner didn't play well. They weren't as experienced as their opponents, who knew how to pass cards to their opponents."
Li Ke had completely lost interest and turned to look elsewhere. She had paid for her own five kilograms of gambling money. She only realized when she handed over the money to exchange for chips that even if she didn't gamble, as long as she handed over the money and entered the casino, the casino would take 15% of it.
Li Ke had five thousand chips in her hand. She wandered around the casino casually, taking a quick look around. The casino had the most people playing dice and poker, two mahjong tables were set up, and then there were people sitting a little further away playing slot machines.
The number of gamblers and service staff was roughly equal, which made the casino appear quite crowded.
But Li Ke quietly surveyed the place and found that of the two or three hundred people in the casino, only about a hundred looked like gamblers, nearly a hundred were wearing work uniforms, and the rest seemed to be there to support the casino and find targets.
For example, Li Ke was standing behind a lively dice game table watching the excitement. It was a game where five dice were rolled together to see who could win.
Li Ke is already quite tall, and with the soles of his shoes, he looks over 1.8 meters tall standing there. Even from a distance, you can still see him clearly inside.
Li Ke hadn't even figured out the rules of the game, so naturally she didn't think about going inside to reserve a spot. She was wearing a black mask and was studying the rules of the game while touching her chin when she was quietly moved to the table by someone.
The players standing in front of her had somehow moved aside to make way for her, and other spectators had appeared behind her.
Then she was naturally led to the card table, where a slightly overweight man was leaning against her side, yelling for a big win. Li Ke noticed him; this guy had just squeezed in and immediately placed ten chips on the big bet, looking quite reckless.
As soon as the dice cup was opened, the fat man excitedly stomped his feet and laughed as he pulled the chips he had won in front of him; he was the only one who had rolled big.
He then split his chips in half again and bet all on Big. At this point, two other people also bet Big, and four people bet on Small.
As Li Ke was observing the gambling game in front of him, a slender, fair hand reached out from the side and placed five chips on top of the larger ones.
Following the direction of the hand, Li Ke saw a slender, pretty woman. She wasn't stunningly beautiful, but she was still quite pleasing to the eye.
This time it was another big win. The pretty girl took back what she had won, her bright eyes fixed on the gambling table, waiting for the next round to begin.
Li Ke watched two more rounds. The pretty girl kept following the fat guy, not by much each time, but she kept winning, which made it hard for him to stop.
The excitement here attracted some more people. Li Ke and the pretty girl were almost touching. The girl bumped into Li Ke and smiled at her shyly.
Then he started a conversation: "You don't seem to be playing. Do you not have any chips? I've won a lot right now, I can lend you twenty."
Li Kewei felt a little dazed. Standing here, she didn't feel like the world outside was apocalyptic at all.
She replied to the girl, "I have the chips. Do you think you should bet on big or small next round?"
The girl had a small pile of chips in front of her, which looked quite substantial. She immediately gave away a third of them, placing them on top of the smaller ones, and then looked at Li Ke.
Li Ke glanced at the chips and saw that two-thirds of them were about 200 chips. She took out two chips, one for 100, and placed the other two hundred on the smaller chip.
The pretty girl smiled and said, "So you have some leverage. You seem to be richer than me."
Li Ke looked at the other person and said, "I think you're lucky. I'll benefit from your success."
After playing five rounds in a row, winning four and losing one, Li Ke only bet two hundred in each round. After five rounds, he had two thousand chips in front of him, and the atmosphere at the gambling table had been pushed to a fever pitch.
