Chapter 263 Joining

Li Ke was woken up by the sound of a whistle outside in the morning. She tidied herself up and came out of the tent. Mo Zuo and his team members also got up one after another. After tidying up quickly, they also went for a morning run.

They followed behind the sentry troops, each carrying out their own training without disturbing the others. Soon, the Li and Song families' teams also joined in.

After the sentry training ended, the three teams ran back to their respective encampments, panting. Of course, some were quite relaxed; at least the team leaders couldn't be in poor physical condition.

After Mo Bao'er and Mo Cheng stood and stretched for a while upon arrival, they sat down with the others. They had joined the training later.

The two exchanged a bitter glance, knowing that once this kind of training started, they would have to keep practicing, because giving up halfway would be looked down upon.

After breakfast, Uncle Mo went to the conference building to borrow a radio. They had their own, but they couldn't use it here, so they had to borrow the military's radio.

Li Ke followed them into the conference building. She carried a box of gold and registered herself. Of course, this box of gold was borrowed from the Mo family.

She came out with the Mo family's group, and they knew roughly what she was carrying. Li Ke openly asked the Mo family to borrow things; if they couldn't lend them, she would go out and bring them back.

Unexpectedly, the Mo family treated her with great courtesy and lent her the money without any hesitation.

Mo Bao'er laughed and said, "Don't feel pressured. Buy whatever you like. My great-uncle said that since we have IOUs, if you really can't pay it back, we can use what you buy to pay it off. We won't lose out."

Li Ke knew that Mo Bao'er was telling him not to be shy and to ask for help if he needed anything. Li Ke was pleased and sincerely thanked her.

Li Ke's registration amount only got her the bidding map for the eighth and ninth rings, but that didn't matter much. She had already made two copies of the Mo family's map in her space last night.

After registering for the bidding, Li Ke also requested two rooms. The person registering her noticed that she was traveling alone and reminded her not to waste the money.

Li Ke: "Thank you, it won't be a waste."

After Li Ke got the room number, she showed it to Mo Bao'er, who frowned and asked, "Isn't it in the same building as us?"

She turned to the registration staff and asked, "Could we switch places? We know each other, and it would be more convenient if we lived in the same building."

The registration staff explained, "Room allocation is also based on registration eligibility. Mr. Li's registration criteria only allow him to stay in Building 3."

Li Ke nodded in agreement. It didn't matter for now; she could upgrade her registration qualification anyway. She would see how things went later. Currently, her bidding funds were all borrowed, so naturally, she couldn't compare to the Mo family.

After Mo Shuzu made the radio connection, Li Ke also borrowed it. There was no one in the radio room, but she knew that their conversation would definitely be monitored.

The person Li Ke wanted to contact was Song Xian. The fact that such a large family business as the Mo family had chosen to relocate showed that they had already decided on their general direction.

Li Ke didn't know what would happen next, but since there were some things he had the chance to get, he would fight for them and leave himself a way out.

She had a good relationship with the Mo family, but it was an unequal relationship. After thinking about it for a long time, Li Ke decided to contact Song Xian and the others to ask if they had received any news and whether they wanted to move over.

Song Xian's radio went unanswered, and Li Ke tried Qiu Feng's as well, but there was no response either.

The first round of bidding will not begin until all 37 bases have arrived. Currently, only three bases have arrived, and Li Ke is the only individual investor.

Given the current situation, there's still a long way to go. Li Ke didn't contact Song Ke, but bid farewell to the Mo family first, explaining that she needed to go back and mobilize some resources for bidding.

Mo Bao'er originally wanted to accompany her, but after Li Ke refused, she didn't insist anymore, only telling her to be careful along the way.

She can apply for a guide or go alone to get out, as long as her travel permit and qualification certificate are not lost, she will not be stopped.

Li Ke set off on his motorcycle, carrying his personal belongings and two cans of oil. The two cans of oil were definitely not enough, but supplies could be exchanged at each outpost, which was somewhat convenient.

Li Ke barely stopped along the way, and in just ten days, he reached the outermost outpost. After exchanging his gasoline, Li Ke set off again.

She encountered five groups of people along the way, not including those who stopped at sentry posts and those who did not take the same route as her; her time was very limited.

After leaving the safe zone and driving for another half a day, Li Ke felt that the distance was safe enough before driving into the nearest abandoned city.

After finding a deserted small building to stay in temporarily, Li Ke took out a radio from his spatial storage and contacted Song Xian and the others. This time, he received a response very quickly.

It turned out that Song Xian and Qiu Feng were also on their way. They were accompanied by two small bases and a returning troop. At their current speed, they would arrive at the safe zone in about five days.

Li Ke sensed that Song Xian was holding back in his words, so he didn't say much, deciding to discuss it in detail after they met.

Song Xian said he would lead his men to speed up their journey and meet up with Li Ke as soon as possible, and then ended the radio call.

Li Ke spent a good amount of time rummaging through his own space, sorting out three batches of the supplies and gold he thought he could exchange.

One batch is for his own use, including repaying the Mo family, and another batch is prepared in advance for Song Xian and Qiu Feng. If they need financial assistance, Li Ke can lend them some.

Song Xian did arrive two days earlier than he said, and he only brought fifteen people, two cars, and two trucks.
