He threw the arm he had casually torn back, and the other person groaned twice in pain, trying to get away from Li Ke by rubbing his buttocks on the ground. But it was too difficult. His hands and legs were covered in throwing knives, and any movement could cause them excruciating pain.
Li Ke spoke again: "You were involved, so tell me how many people have fallen into your hands? Where are they now?"
Suzuki unleashed his last bit of courage: "Go ahead and kill me now if you dare, I won't say a word."
Li Ke looked at him and smiled slightly: "That's wishful thinking. I'll help you fulfill half of your wish."
With a backhand motion, Li Ke's throwing knife pierced through Suzuki's chin and tongue, eventually disappearing into his throat.
Blood was flowing from Suzuki's mouth and nose, and he was coughing in his throat, but he could no longer make any coherent sounds. His eyes were filled with pain and disbelief.
It was too painful. Suzuki wanted to end it all with his left hand, but as soon as he made a move, Li Ke pulled out the throwing knife from his leg and pinned his left hand to the wall next to him. At the same time, the tip of the knife in his right hand was also pressed into the ground.
Suzuki's eyes were no longer filled with hatred. He closed them tightly in pain, wanting only to die quickly. He felt like he had encountered a demon. He had been very careful and wanted to cripple the other party first.
Li Ke's cold voice rang out again: "As you wish, you don't need to say anything now."
His gaze shifted to the two men who had previously held the gun: "You two will answer my questions."
Li Ke's swift and ruthless methods had already shocked everyone present. When the two men heard Li Ke's question, one of them replied in Mandarin, "We have captured more than 20,000 people, and they are now working as slaves in our base, mining."
Li Ke frowned and asked the other party to explain more clearly, to tell him everything he knew about their base location, leadership, and personnel layout.
After they finished speaking, Li Ke turned to his teammates behind him and asked, "Did you remember it clearly?"
The man nodded, not understanding. Seeing his response, Li Ke slashed with her knife, ending the lives of both men.
With his teammates' mouths agape, Li Ke's actions were too swift. The moment he had the thought of stopping them, their throats had already been slit.
Li Ke looked at Zhuang Weifeng, who was terrified. Suzuki's miserable state was right in front of him, and he didn't dare to breathe loudly because he was also afraid of falling into a situation where he couldn't live or die.
Li Ke looked at Zhuang Weifeng and said, "Say something useful, and hurry up, or I'll make you suffer even more than he did."
Zhuang Weifeng really knew a lot of things. He told us about the source of the slaves, the methods and routes of transportation, the underground warehouses and the exits. He spilled everything he knew and could think of.
As for the information he brought about by Suzuki and his group, he didn't actually know much. After escaping the inland, he had spent most of his time living here, and this was the place he was most familiar with.
His voice trembled as he confessed everything. When he had nothing more to say, he said in fear, "I've told you everything I know. Please let me go, or just kill me quickly and stop torturing me."
After listening to his explanation, Li Ke asked again, "How much do you know about solar energy mines?"
Zhuang Weifeng honestly replied, "I only know that it will be the highlight of the banquet, but I know nothing else."
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Ke sent him on his way, quickly and with little pain.
Seeing that Li Ke had killed another survivor before he could stop him, his teammates said speechlessly, "Actually, we could have left one alive."
Li Ke certainly wouldn't leave these people to Xia Ji and the others. Suzuki's gaze clearly showed that he regarded her as a bitter enemy.
Li Ke thought of the ten-person team that Tanaka had sent out; it must have been these people who successfully sent her message out.
However, she kept her identity hidden and lived a secluded life, almost forgetting about these people.
Although Xia Ji and the others also connected it to some things about her, Li Ke would not back down and hand over any leverage to them.
After retrieving his throwing knives one by one, and seeing that Suzuki had also breathed his last, Li Ke said, "You take care of the rest, I'm going to find Xia Ji."
As she was leaving, Li Ke originally intended to leave the people who wanted to mediate with her, as well as the service staff brought in by her teammates, to her teammates to handle, thinking that they might not know much about the situation.
But the moment he opened the door, Li Ke swiftly sent them away as well. Killing two more people wouldn't make a difference, since they weren't innocent anyway; it was better to be cautious.
She had just stepped out the door when she ran into her teammates who had come looking for her: "The curtain has been raised over the energy mine. The boss sent me to find you guys."
Seeing the questioning look in the other person's eyes, Li Ke replied, "Okay, I'll go now. The other person is in that room."
After pointing out the direction, Li Ke headed towards the exhibition hall. The person who came to find her hesitated for a second, but still walked towards the room that Li Ke had indicated.
When Li Ke found Xia Ji, he was standing in front of a piece of pure black ore, which was covered by a thick glass cover. Li Ke looked at the description on the cover.
It's not a solar energy mineral, but another type of deep-sea mineral. It's highly radioactive, and its specific uses are unknown; it seems it hasn't been researched yet.
After scanning the area again, Li Ke noticed that there weren't many energy minerals on display; they were mostly newly discovered rare minerals. After a quick look, he concluded that there were no solar energy minerals here.
Seeing Xia Ji turn his gaze away from the stone in front of him, Li Ke asked, "How much longer do we have to wait? Will that thing come out again?"
Xia Ji told Li Ke to look around: "Everyone has gathered around; they're waiting for the solar energy mine. It'll be out soon."
