As dawn approached, Li Ke's submarine was much farther away from the cruise ship she had abandoned. After retrieving the submarine, Li Ke deployed a lifeboat, lay on the water, and drifted with the current.
After swimming for half a day, Li Ke lay down on the float and launched a signal flare into the sky. Based on the direction she was traveling, there was a 50% chance that she would meet up with Xia Ji and the others.
After the signal flare was fired, Li Ke began to drift again. Occasionally, fish monsters would come to harass her, and she would let them bite her a couple of times before putting them back into her spatial storage.
Of course, if it's too big, Li Ke can't relax. If he gets bitten by such a big fish monster, he'll lose at least half of his body. Li Ke can't afford to take that risk.
More than an hour later, two ships finally came into view. Li Ke quickly took out his binoculars to observe them, but they were not Xia Ji's ships.
Regardless of whose ship it was, Li Ke didn't want to drift at sea any longer; he wanted to see if he could find a way to sneak onto it first.
The two ships were moving quite fast. As they drew closer, Li Ke fired two shots to warn the people on board that he was present.
But the ship didn't react at all, continuing forward, parallel to Li Ke, at a distance of several thousand meters, showing no intention of stopping for him.
Li Ke could only swim towards the two ships with all her might, but before she could get very close, a cannon shot suddenly came from the sky, hitting one of the ships and sending smoke billowing into the sky. The ship was on fire and began to tilt into the water.
The people on that ship started jumping into the sea like dumplings being put into a pot. Seeing this, Li Ke quickly changed direction, moved a little further away, and then used his binoculars to observe the source of the missile.
However, the sea in the distance remained calm, and Li Ke could not observe anything at all.
Another ship also set up its cannons, and Li Ke watched as they fired into the empty space behind them. This battle, in which the enemy was nowhere to be seen, gave Li Ke a real headache.
After firing the long-range attack cannon, the ship did not dare to relax at all. Li Ke saw that many of them began to abandon the large ship and enter the underwater submarine.
Through the binoculars, Li Ke spotted two familiar faces inside. They were the same people she had met in the trade exhibition hall. Thinking about the switch of the solar energy mine, Li Ke's heart suddenly started racing.
Seeing the submarine slowly sink, Li Ke immediately sank underwater, entered the submarine, and chased after the enemy.
On the distant horizon, a sleek destroyer sped towards the fleeing ship, launching another precise interception and attack.
Behind the destroyer, two ships were trailing far behind, waiting to reap the rewards after the attack was over.
Li Ke finally spotted the enemy submarine underwater. Shells exploded nearby, and the submarine in front changed direction again.
Li Ke retrieved her submarine and risked swimming towards the other side. She was gambling that the most valuable solar energy mineral was in this submarine. Although it was not yet within the sensing range, the irrepressible excitement in Li Ke's heart made her choose to take the risk and explore.
Another violent wave came from behind, which pushed Li Ke even faster toward the submarine. However, the strong turbulence made Li Ke's chest tighten and his mouth taste fishy.
This force was far stronger than Li Ke had imagined, directly propelling him into the submarine a hundred meters away. Then, another force struck, trying to lift Li Ke and the submarine from underwater to the surface.
Amidst intense dizziness, Li Ke regained consciousness and, at a crucial moment, led the submarine into a hidden space.
When Li Ke opened his eyes from beside the black hole in the space, the submarine was about to fall into the black hole. In a split second, Li Ke had no time to think and used his strength to kick his legs and reach out to grab the falling submarine.
Li Ke's head followed into the hole, and his upper body was dragged down. In an instant, the feeling of falling disappeared. It was as if Li Ke and the submarine had been paused and were hanging in the black hole.
Although the fall was stopped, the pain did not lessen at all; Li Ke's entire head felt like it was about to explode.
With her eyes tightly closed, liquid was flowing from Li Ke's ears. Li Ke seemed to have lost her five senses. She struggled to open her mouth and shouted, "Come out, or you will swallow me and the light energy ore together!"
The black hole seemed to ripple slightly, but Li Ke's voice remained loud: "I don't care how much benefit it would bring me if you ate this stuff. I am never threatened in any way, and neither are you!"
"Remember this: as long as I am your master, I will rule over you, not the other way around. From now on, this is no longer allowed!" Li Ke shouted finally.
After receiving the response she wanted, she finally released her grip on the ship, letting it and everything inside plummet into the dark abyss.
Li Ke, who had lost consciousness, was lifted by a force and moved away from the black hole, back to her beloved villa courtyard.
The group on the water finally gave up trying to escape and resist. Xia Ji led his team onto the enemy's ship and took control of all the survivors.
They searched the shipwreck area thoroughly, but found no solar energy mines, nor the supplies mentioned by the owner of Tianxing Paradise.
Xia Ji listened to the report from his subordinates and was puzzled again. He ordered his men to interrogate the survivors and then contacted the foreign aid waiting on the side, the captain of the destroyer.
"Are you sure you spotted the enemy submarine and carried out a precise interception and strike?" Xia Ji asked into the walkie-talkie.
The other party was silent for a while before saying, "I'm quite certain, but the submarine disappeared just as we were about to force it to the surface."
