Li Ke put down the soup spoon in her hand, dabbed her lips with a tissue, then sat with her arms crossed, squinting at Chen Jiaojiao sitting on the other side, thinking about how to deal with her.
At this moment, Aunt Chen had already packed the breakfast and came out of the kitchen, carrying two large bags. She said to Chen Jiaojiao, "Miss, I'm going to deliver breakfast to the old master and grandmother now."
Chen Jiaojiao was looking directly into Li Ke's eyes, and when she heard Aunt Chen's words, she simply nodded.
Aunt Chen was in a hurry to get to the hospital, so she naturally wouldn't notice the unusual atmosphere between the two girls in the restaurant. Even if she did notice, she wouldn't bother to care, nor did she have the right to.
After Aunt Chen left, Chen Jiaojiao looked at Li Ke's eyes, which were completely different from usual, and stared directly at her. She asked, "What, did I say something wrong? Look at yourself now, not going to school, not doing housework, and still making demands on your mother. How did you become so vain?"
You know perfectly well that you are not a member of the Chen family, and that none of these things are yours. So why do you have the audacity to demand so much from your mother and ask her to do so many things for you?
Do you know how difficult it is for Mom in this family? Because of your existence. How much injustice she's suffered? How many disdainful looks she's endured? How many people have criticized her?
So many? Li Ke was a little confused when she heard Chen Jiaojiao's words. Did she really have Li Zhenzhen do a lot of things?
"What did I ask Li Zhenzhen to do?" Li Ke asked, slightly puzzled, looking at the righteous Chen Jiaojiao opposite him.
“You keep asking your mother for money, tens of thousands at a time, and then you want to stay in such a nice room on the third floor. You know perfectly well that those are guest rooms prepared for guests, and these rooms are not for you to stay in.”
Do you know how much trouble your mother has suffered at the hands of your grandmother because of your unreasonable and self-aware demands?
What's even more outrageous is that you just came back from outside and asked your mother to help you register for a car driver's license and a plane pilot's license. Aren't these the things you ask your mother to do for you?
I think your next step is to ask your mom to buy you a car and a plane. You're getting more and more outrageous!
Li Ke, I used to regard you as my dearest older sister because you were gentle and kind, knew your place, and never coveted things that didn't belong to you.
But you've truly become unrecognizable, utterly vain! You look absolutely hideous now!
Chen Jiaojiao looked at Li Ke with disappointment in her eyes, but beneath that disappointment was a strong undercurrent of jealousy.
Why is Li Ke able to completely inherit her mother's beauty? She's an illegitimate child and doesn't deserve it at all. Her mother clearly drugged her face, so why is her face able to heal so quickly and flawlessly?
Chen Jiaojiao was filled with jealousy towards Li Ke, which she suppressed tightly, trying not to let anyone discover it, because she felt that Li Ke was unworthy of her jealousy.
After listening to Chen Jiaojiao's long speech, Li Ke only grasped one key point: "Should I thank you for reminding me? Next, I should ask Li Zhenzhen to prepare a car and a plane for me?"
Chen Jiaojiao's face twisted with anger upon hearing Li Ke's words. Seeing Li Ke's stubborn and unyielding attitude, she could no longer bear it. She grabbed the small dish in front of her and threw it at Li Ke, a move that truly reflected the old man's teachings.
Li Ke quickly grabbed the napkin next to him, caught the flying plate with a swipe of his wrist, then suppressed his smile, stood up with a cold expression, and strode towards Chen Jiaojiao.
"What, you still want to lay a hand on me? Li Ke, don't forget, I am the young lady of the Chen family, the mistress of this house! And you are about to turn eighteen. If you dare to lay a hand on me, I will immediately have my mother kick you out, so that you will never receive any care from the Chen family again and will have to live on the streets and fend for yourself!" Chen Jiaojiao shouted loudly, trying to sound tough, as she looked at Li Ke, who was walking towards her with a cold and intimidating aura. But Li Ke's cold and gloomy eyes really frightened her.
Li Ke had never had such an expression before. She was well aware of her situation and always tried her best to tolerate everything.
Perhaps because Li Ke had always been quiet and unassuming, always doing his work in peace, and always obliging and loving towards her younger sister, Chen Jiaojiao felt somewhat emboldened. She still believed that Li Ke would not dare to offend her.
Li Ke, emboldened by Chen Jiaojiao's foolish confidence, strode up to her, grabbed her hair, and dragged her into the kitchen.
Chen Jiaojiao screamed in fright: "Li Ke, what are you doing? How dare you hit me? Let me go right now, I'm going to tell Mom and Dad, I'm going to have them kick you out!"
Chen Jiaojiao was grabbed by the hair by Li Ke and was powerless to fight back. She tried her best to hit Li Ke with her hands, but Li Ke would immediately pull her back hard, making her even more painful.
Chen Jiaojiao had never known that Li Ke was so strong, and she was now crying in fear.
"Sister, I know I was wrong, please forgive me, I really just felt you shouldn't have done this—" Chen Jiaojiao began to cry and beg for mercy.
Li Ke had long seen through Chen Jiaojiao's true nature. She was completely unmoved by Chen Jiaojiao's attempts to show weakness and beg for mercy, and directly grabbed Chen Jiaojiao's hair and led her to the pool.
They blocked the drain in the sink, then turned on the tap, and regardless of whether the sink was full or not, they pushed Chen Jiaojiao's head completely into the sink, letting the tap water wash over her head.
