Only Benben outside heard her voice and was barking frantically!
In his eagerness, Chen Xian didn't even close the door before throwing her onto Old Mrs. Chen's bed and lunging at Li Ke.
Li Ke's relentless resistance only earned her several hard slaps from Chen Xian. The slaps from the adult man landed on Li Ke's head and face, causing her to feel dizzy from the pain.
In near despair, just as Chen Xian was about to completely rip off her pants, Li Ke finally found the small scissors that Old Lady Chen had hidden under the bedding.
The scissors were only the size of a palm; they were used by Old Mrs. Chen to cut and stab voodoo dolls. Li Ke knew many of the Chen family's little quirks and secrets.
They all knew that Li Ke knew, but they also knew that Li Ke was obedient and easy to bully, posing no threat whatsoever. So they would only tell her to shut up and wouldn't take her seriously at all.
Li Ke used the scissors to slash Chen Xian's neck. The beast touched the blood on his neck and was completely enraged. He no longer focused on violating Li Ke, but instead began to simply vent his anger by inflicting violence on her.
"You bastard! It's your good fortune that I even noticed you, and you still dare to hurt people! I'm going to beat you to death today! You treacherous bastard! If you won't let me play with you, I'll find a bunch of people to play you to death another day!" Chen Xian was like a madman, hitting and cursing at the same time.
Li Ke was already dazed from the beating. Countless fists and kicks rained down on her body. All she could do was hug herself and cry out in her last moments of consciousness, "Stop hitting me! Please, stop!"
She thought she was going to die when a tall, dark figure roared in. Immediately afterwards, Li Ke heard Chen Xian's screams and curses: "You beast, I'll beat you to death!"
Li Ke's eyes were in so much pain that she could barely open them. She heard Benben's roars and screams. She didn't remember how she managed to get up. Her vision was blurry as she returned to her room and found her phone to call the police.
After that, she stayed in the hospital for two weeks. The matter was ended by the Chen family as a family dispute. Li Zhenzhen spent nearly two weeks with her, which was rare for her. She even said that she would take her to see a house when she had time.
For the first time, Li Ke yelled at her to get out! Without fairness, without morality, without the ability to seek justice for herself, she couldn't find meaning in life!
But she didn't want to die, so she could only, like a trapped beast, repeatedly kill that beast and her powerless self in her imagination, trying to find her own balance.
Later, when Chen Jiaojiao came to visit her, Li Ke asked her about Benben. The Chen family said she could make a request: Li Ke wanted to take Benben with her. If she couldn't get revenge, she never wanted to have anything to do with the Chen family again.
Chen Jiaojiao said that Benben bit Chen Xian's butt and was beaten by Chen Xian with a baseball bat. Benben couldn't bear the pain and ran out of the villa. Because of his injury, he was hit by a car on the road.
It was the security guards outside the villa area who collected Benben's body, because they knew it was the Chen family's dog.
Li Ke asked Chen Jiaojiao, "Where is Benben's body? Where is he buried?"
Chen Jiaojiao stammered, "Actually, Benben wasn't dead yet, but my grandparents and dad all said they didn't want this kind of treacherous dog anymore and told the security guards to deal with it themselves. Later, I heard it was eaten..."
A sharp pain shot through Li Ke's chest, plunging her into darkness.
