Chapter 140 Snowstorm

Li Ke looked at Zhuang Yihao's sincere question and kicked him directly: "You have no right to ask. I'm asking you, are the Qin family couple still alive? And where did you take Li Zhenzhen and her two daughters?"

Zhuang Yihao's mouth was bleeding. He originally thought that being forced to kill by R country and having no choice but to offer up Susan and betray his friends was the lowest point in his life. He never expected that once he entered the lowest point, he might go even lower.

For example, right now, he is being humiliated by a nobody he has never paid any attention to, yet he has no power to fight back and can't even die.

Zhuang Yihao swallowed his embarrassment: "As long as I am still useful, and the Qin family is still useful, then the couple might still be alive. As for Li Zhenzhen and the others, I almost forgot about them if you hadn't mentioned them. They wanted to stay in a hotel and lost contact with us when the tsunami happened. They're probably dead by now."

Li Ke wasn't too surprised to hear Zhuang Yihao's words; this outcome was within her expectations.

Zhuang Yihao looked at Li Ke again: "I've been wondering what method you used. I've thought about whether there was a traitor inside who colluded with you from the inside, whether the US sent a special forces unit to carry out the operation, and I've even wondered if you drugged all of us that night to make it happen."

But later, I checked all the clues, and all of them were overturned. The land had not been disturbed, the walls had not been damaged, and even the door locks showed no signs of being opened. The surveillance footage was also checked repeatedly, and there were no problems.

I've been wondering if some extraordinary person has appeared among you, someone with the ability to teleport or travel through time, and they've stolen my treasure vault. This question has troubled me for far too long. Now that I'm in your hands, I only have this one request—can't you at least offer some guidance?

Li Ke looked at Zhuang Yihao expressionlessly: "No, I'll send you on your way first, and then send your nephew to join you. You can start thinking about it when you get to the underworld."

Zhuang Yihao's eyes narrowed as he looked back at Li Ke: "A-Feng knows nothing about these things. I orchestrated all of this. If you kill me, the Qin couple will also die. They are patriots and innocent people. Would your organization allow you to act like this? This is settling a personal score. Your mother's accident was not caused by our Zhuang family. I want to see your superior!"

Li Ke snorted, kicked the man unconscious, tied him up, stuffed him in, and threw him back into his space. Once he had collected all the supplies they had hidden outside, he would have to finish this man off, otherwise, if he continued to use his imagination, he would directly guess the truth.

Like a cunning rabbit with three burrows, the supplies that Tanaka, Zhuang Yihao, and the Qin family brought into the shelter were only one-fifth of what they had. These three groups hid the rest of the supplies elsewhere.

Li Ke didn't know where the Qin family's supplies were hidden, but he managed to find out from both Tanaka and Zhuang Yihao. However, he still needed someone to lead the way.

After leaving Zhuang Yihao's base, Li Ke returned to the accommodations arranged by Tian Zhong. Li Meng was sitting by the stove in a daze. When she saw Li Ke appear, she immediately gripped the pistol in her hand: "Is it you?"

Li Ke understood her nervousness and replied, "It's me."

Li Meng recognized the voice as a man's and breathed a sigh of relief: "The wind and snow outside have gotten much stronger, and the temperature seems to have dropped again. Can we leave today?"

Li Ke shook his head: "We can't leave for now. The wind and snow are too strong, and we can't travel. We'll talk about it when it stops."

A look of disappointment mixed with not-too-disappointment appeared on Li Meng's face. She really wanted to go back, but she didn't want to go back too soon to face the other people.

"Who are you? Can I know your name? Thank you for saving me. I just want to know if you're from the shelter." Li Meng asked Li Ke, standing there with her pistol in her arms.

Li Ke's words were icy: "Don't ask questions you shouldn't ask, and don't mention to anyone that you've met me when you get back, otherwise you won't be so lucky next time."

Sensing Li Ke's coldness, Li Meng quickly and cautiously replied, "I understand. I won't ask anymore, and I won't mention you to anyone."

Li Ke ignored her and went straight upstairs to his previous room. He stood by the window, watching the wind and snow outside.

The windows were already submerged by more than ten centimeters of snow. If the snowstorm continues, the entire building may be buried tonight.

The temperature indeed dropped by nearly ten degrees the next day, and the wind and snow were still raging. Li Ke's hut had no shortage of generators, firewood, coal, and food.

In this kind of weather, no one would brave the snow to come over. Even if they did, she could handle it. So Li Ke stayed in her room quite well. She didn't interact with Li Meng and just told Li Meng to stay downstairs quietly and not come up to bother her.

During the day, she would go into the space to do some work, clean up animal droppings, play with Benben and the others for a while, check if anyone in the container had died, and then organize her own supplies.

The plants in the space now seem more vibrant, and the small puddle has turned into a small stream with very clear water. Li Ke tasted some of it and found it to be sweeter than ordinary water. There were no other abnormalities, and his body did not experience any changes.

When it got dark, Li Ke climbed out of the window, collected all the snow on the roof into his spatial storage, and then compressed it into blocks for safekeeping.

Li Meng was very obedient. Every day, except for meals and necessary activities, she stayed by the stove and slept on a mat next to it.

She was getting a little anxious. The snowstorm had been going on for three or four days, and the temperature was getting lower and lower. She was worried about the health of her child and mother. Fortunately, Keke had given them so many work points, so Li Meng thought they could hold on for a while longer.
