Can they wake him up in Chapter 11?

Ye Jingchi personally escorted Li Ying to the military hospital to register, where Cao Liao, an associate academician of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was already waiting at the hospital entrance.

Ye Jingchi stopped the car, and Li Ying got out.

Academician Cao strode forward, beaming: "Jingchi, is this Comrade Li Ying, the one you mentioned who gave us the secret formula?"

"Academician Cao, this is Li Ying," Ye Jingchi introduced.

Li Ying smiled brightly and nodded politely.

She was a traditional Chinese medicine doctor who was exceptionally recruited, so it was unnecessary for Academician Cao to personally come out to greet her.

"Here's the thing, our hospital has established two research groups. I'm in Group B, and my surname is Cao. Would you like to join the group?" Academician Cao asked gently.

Li Ying knew about the research group, but the research group in the military hospital required clinical experience and genuine talent to join. She didn't have the qualifications, and joining the group rashly would only cause criticism from others.

Li Ying felt she shouldn't be too hasty and politely declined: "Thank you for the recommendation, Academician Cao. I would also like to join the research group, but I am still too inexperienced and not qualified enough. Once I have gained enough experience, I will definitely ask you for a recommendation!"

Academician Cao's smile froze for a few seconds, then he immediately smiled and said, "Comrade Li Ying is right. Let's train for a while before joining the group."

Li Ying nodded slightly and said thank you.

Academician Cao led Li Ying and Ye Jingchi to the office of the Traditional Chinese Medicine department.

Internal Medicine Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Several doctors share an office, which is only a dozen square meters in size, and they sit facing each other while working.

Even in hospitals, seniority matters; you can't sit in a private office unless you're a specialist.

Several people in the office stood up at the same time. After Academician Cao introduced her, everyone greeted Li Ying.

Ye Jingchi tidied up Li Ying's seat in no time, and several doctors looked on with envy.

"Thanks."

"I'll head back now if there's nothing else."

Li Ying nodded.

After Ye Jingchi left, Li Ying began her day's work.

She noticed that her colleagues in the office were acting strangely, avoiding her somewhat.

She was new to the area and hadn't offended anyone, but the attitude of these people was a bit puzzling.

Of course, Li Ying wasn't the kind of person who would desperately try to please anyone just to fit in. Lu Xingzhou was the most disgusting thing she had ever done in her life. Now, she just wanted to do her own thing and raise her own child.

Li Ying anticipated running into Rong Ning at the hospital.

Both of them were recruited by the military hospital, so it was only a matter of time before they met. When Li Ying went to get water, she ran into Rong Ning in the corridor. Rong Ning was wearing a nurse's uniform.

Li Ying doesn't belittle anyone; nurses are equally respectable. They are not afraid of getting dirty or suffering, and they are indispensable members of the hospital.

But when Rong Ning put on this nurse's uniform, Li Ying just couldn't bring herself to respect her.

Their eyes met, and Rong Ning's gaze clearly held resentment.

Both of us studied medicine, but at least I went to a nursing school, while Li Ying, who farmed at home for three years, was able to sit in an office and live a carefree life, while I was spinning like a top.

"Li Ying!"

Unable to contain her jealousy, Rong Ning rushed forward and grabbed Li Ying's wrist: "We're old acquaintances, why don't you greet me when we meet?"

Li Ying pulled Rong Ning's hand away: "I don't think you have time to reminisce with me."

The head nurse had already seen it. Rong Ning couldn't let herself be caught out, so she glared at Li Ying and said, "You wait, I'll be in your position sooner or later! And you'll be kicked out of the hospital sooner or later!"

Li Ying smiled calmly: "I'll be waiting anytime!"

Rong Ning angrily went to change the patient's needle, while Li Ying went to the tea room to get a cup of water.

Back in the office, the group of people who had been gathered together immediately dispersed, and everyone returned to their seats.

Li Ying noticed something was wrong, but didn't care.

The advantage of traditional Chinese medicine is that you don't have to work night shifts; everyone can leave on time unless there are special patients.

Li Ying didn't have many patients today because it was her first day, and the people who came to see her didn't believe her at all.

Li Ying was used to sitting on the sidelines all day.

Just outside the hospital, a man was seen pulling at a woman. The woman struggled desperately but managed to break free and rushed towards Li Ying.

Li Ying tried to dodge, but it was too late; the man was already charging towards her.

Seeing the man rushing towards her, Li Ying quickly pulled out a silver needle she carried with her and stuck it into the man's shoulder. The man's eyes rolled back and he fainted on the ground.

Li Ying turned and glanced at the girl who was pale with fright, and asked, "Should we call the police?"

The girl's face turned pale, and she was so frightened that she breathed rapidly. It took her a long time before she nodded heavily.

Li Ying called for help from passersby to call the police.

Soon, the police arrived. Li Ying admitted that she had stabbed the man unconscious and explained the process. The girl cried as she recounted the whole story.

“He has been harassing me several times. I have told him that I do not agree to be in a relationship with him, but he just won’t let me go.”

The girl's eyes were red from crying.

"Can you wake him up?"

Needless to say, it was blatant hooliganism, right in front of a military hospital.

But they didn't want to bring someone who had fainted back to the station.

"Can."

Li Ying took out a silver needle and pricked the man's philtrum. The man yelled and jumped up, his fist almost hitting Li Ying, but luckily she dodged quickly.

The police officers went up and pinned the man down.

"Behave yourself!"

Why are you arresting me?

"Why would you dare to beat a woman in front of us? Wouldn't you be even worse when we can't see?" the police officer shouted sternly.
