Chapter 170 He took Chinese medicine and slammed his head against the car seat.

Sang Zhi tried to stop him, but it was too late; Jing Chi had already drunk it.

Everyone stared at Sang Zhi, puzzled. Sang Zhi blushed and glanced at Li Ying.

Li Ying understood and turned to Leng Yan, saying, "Leng Yan, I invited you to my home for the holiday but didn't invite Young Master Jing. You both came here; anyone who didn't know better would think I'd cast a spell on you! Please go home!"

The two were rudely kicked out the door.

Leng Yan's face turned ashen: "Why aren't you at home with your aunt? What are you doing here?"

Jing Chi glared at Leng Yan: "I just wanted to come and see. You come to Li Ying's house for dinner on a holiday. I don't know what kind of conspiracy you two are plotting!"

Leng Yan looked at Jing Chi as if he were an idiot.

"Your aunt said this is the first holiday since she and you were reunited. Aren't you afraid of hurting her feelings by running away like this?"

Jing Chi crossed his arms and glared at Leng Yan: "Don't think I don't know what you're thinking, Leng Yan. What exactly is your purpose in contacting this Li Ying? And what's the deal with the poison in my mother's body?"

I suspect him!

Leng Yan scoffed, "You're not qualified to interrogate me."

"Stop right there!" Jing Chi commanded, suddenly feeling a burning sensation in his body and a burning discomfort in his heart.

Leng Yan took out a cigarette and was about to smoke when he saw Jing Chi suddenly trembling, so he quickly walked over.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know. My body is burning hot, and my heart is burning hot too. I'm poisoned." Jing Chi's cheeks were visibly burning, and he tore at his clothes with trembling hands.

Leng Yan helped Jing Chi up: "I'll take you to find the antidote!"

Leng Yan drove to the gate of the Chu family and knocked on the door.

Chu Yiyi thought it was Jing Chi who had come to find her, and was overjoyed: "Brother Jing Chi!"

“He’s in the car.” Leng Yan glanced at the car and said, “He’s been drugged.”

Upon hearing this, Chu Yiyi stopped in her tracks, her cheeks inexplicably flushing red. Unable to contain her affection, she walked towards the car.

"Miss Chu, let me be frank from the start: you and Jing Chi are not officially dating yet. Are you sure you want to do this?"

Leng Yan tapped the cigarette in his hand and asked a cold question.

Chu Yiyi turned around and stared at Leng Yan: "You're a strange person. You knocked on my door and called me out, and then you said all this nonsense to me. Do you want me to help him, or do you not want me to help him?"

Leng Yan put the cigarette in his mouth and said in an icy tone, "I'm just giving you a choice."

Chu Yiyi didn't care about any of that; she was willing to do anything as long as she could be with Jing Chi.

Seeing Chu Yiyi resolutely get into the car, Leng Yan walked a little further away.

Inside the car, Jing Chi felt unwell all over, his eyes were glazed over, and everything he saw was blurry.

After Chu Yiyi got into the car, she reached out to hug Jing Chi. Feeling the coolness, Jing Chi felt a little better. He looked up at the person who was leaning towards him and pushed her away.

"roll!"

"Jing Chi, you've been poisoned. I need to help you detoxify." Chu Yiyi shyly extended her slender hand.

Jing Chi forcefully pushed him away: "Get out! Don't touch me!"

Jing Chi suddenly felt like his head was about to explode, and pressed his forehead, saying, "It hurts! My head hurts!"

In pain, Jing Chi desperately slammed his head against the car seat.

Chu Yiyi was terrified, her face paled, and she began to scream.

Leng Yan rushed over upon hearing the noise, and raised an eyebrow upon seeing the scene.

"Take him to the hospital!"

At the hospital, Leng Yan stood guard outside the ward. Inside, Jing Chi had received an injection and was asleep.

"Ayan, where is Chi'er?" Aunt Jing rushed over and asked anxiously.

"He's inside, already asleep."

Aunt Jing breathed a sigh of relief and raised her hand to slap Leng Yan: "What exactly happened?"

Leng Yan's face was grim: "Jing Chi drank the drugged wine. Following my aunt's preference, I sent him to the Chu family. As a result, he had a headache and kept banging his head against the car seat."

Aunt Jing clenched her fists, her eyes coldly fixed on Leng Yan: "Is that really so?"

"Auntie, you can check if you don't believe me."

"Chi'er has been drugged? Who did it?!"

"It must have been unintentional. He saw me go to Li Ying's house, followed me there, had a drink, and then got infected."

Leng Yan spoke frankly.

Aunt Jing glanced at Leng Yan: "I was wondering why he didn't stay home during the holiday and went to Li Ying's house instead? Leng Yan, you'd better do what I told you to do. Within three months, settle things with Li Ying, and I'll give you half of the Jing family's property rights."

"good!"

Aunt Jing pushed open the door and entered the ward.

A chilling coldness emanated from Leng Yan's phoenix eyes. His hand instinctively reached for a cigarette as he strode out of the inpatient department.

At the clinic, Sang Zhi's path was blocked by Li Ting.

"Sang Zhi, I just heard that Jing Chi came to my house last night, drank alcohol, and then took Chinese medicine. Did you do it?"

The drink was right next to him; if Jing Chi hadn't suddenly gone to drink it, he would have been the one who drank it.

Sang Zhi lowered her head shyly: "Brother Li, I..."

"Sang Zhi, what are you thinking? How could you drug me?" Li Ting wasn't scolding her, but he felt that Sang Zhi was too unreliable.

Sang Zhi also felt very ashamed and regretted it deeply.

"I'm sorry, Brother Li, I will never do it again."

Li Ting couldn't be too harsh on him.

"Second brother, did you come to the clinic so early in the morning just to interrogate me?" Li Ying led Chenchen out, her face stern as she scolded her second brother for his lack of romance.

"No, I was just trying to reason with Sang Zhi. She's too impulsive, she's always been like this. You need to talk to her properly!"

"Second Brother, do you even understand Sang Zhi's feelings?"

When asked about his love life, Li Ting touched his nose and changed the subject, saying, "I suddenly remembered that I have something to do at work today, so I have to go now."

They made a hasty escape.

Sang Zhi was frustrated and upset: "Li Ying, I will never do such a shameful thing again."

Li Ying patted Sang Zhi on the shoulder: "How about we just forget about it? With my second brother's blockheaded brain, even if you climbed into his bed, he might not understand."

"It's not that he doesn't understand, it's just that he doesn't want to."

In Li Ting's mind, Sang Zhi was Jing Yingyan's girlfriend, so how could he date her?

"Oh, my second brother!"

The clinic door opened, and the first person to come for treatment was Jing Chi.

His face was somewhat pale as he sat in front of Li Ying, staring intently at her face.

"Extend your hand."

Li Ying gave the order as usual, and only when she looked up did she see that it was Jing Chi.

He looked terrible, as if he had just recovered from a serious illness; it must have been from that glass of water he drank last night…

"Young Master Jing, are you sick?"

Jing Chi hummed in agreement and stretched out his arm to place on the table to take Li Ying's pulse.

Li Ying remained silent, took his pulse to diagnose him, and withdrew her hand: "Young Master Jing has insufficient qi and blood, go back and take good care of yourself."

I probably worked too hard last night, which caused some physical strain.

"I went to your house yesterday, had a glass of alcohol, and then I got poisoned, Dr. Li, shouldn't you give me an explanation?"

Li Ying looked up and met Jing Chi's deep and clear gaze.

"I didn't invite Young Master Jing to my home. You came here on your own. How can you blame me?"
