Chapter 267 Instigating Murder

Encouraged by Yan Liuli, Song Weidong's fighting spirit was ignited. He clenched his fist and said, "Okay, I'll listen to you. I'll find someone to teach that Li Ying a lesson."

Yan Liuli patted Song Weidong on the shoulder: "That's right. As long as you perform well, I'll have my dad find you a proper job so you can have a secure job."

Song Weidong was even happier: "Really? That's great! Now let's see how Old Song can look down on me?"

When Lao Song was mentioned, Yan Liuli's eyes held a subtle, almost imperceptible glint.

"Song Weidong, you can't tell your father what we've done."

"What's there to be afraid of? He's not my biological father." Song Weidong said nonchalantly.

Yan Liuli's face darkened.

Song Weidong immediately changed his expression: "Alright, alright, I understand. I promise I won't tell anyone about this."

Li Ying's eyelids kept twitching when she woke up early, and she sensed that something might be wrong, so she brought Chen Ping with her when she went to make house calls.

Song Weidong didn't know where to ambush Li Ying. He thought that the place where Li Ying's clinic was busy with people, making it difficult to make a move. So he decided to wander around the courtyard house where Li Ying lived.

Around 10 a.m., Aunt Yang took Ye Chen out to buy groceries.

Aunt Che Yang locked the door and held Chenchen's little hand.

"Chenchen, shall we go buy some meat and make dumplings today?"

“Okay,” Chenchen replied crisply.

The people hiding in the alley were getting anxious.

"Brother Dong, is it them?"

Song Weidong shook his head: "The person I want to teach a lesson to is a doctor named Li Ying."

“That child is Li Ying’s son.” One of them had already investigated Li Ying’s family background.

“We have grudges against the adults, we can’t let them affect the children.” Song Weidong still had this bottom line.

"Besides, Dong-ge, we've already done things like beating people, how can we expect to be clean? If we arrest Li Ying's son, Li Ying will come, wouldn't that be better?"

Song Weidong hesitated, pondering whether he should do such a vicious thing.

Before he could make a decision, the group rushed out and snatched Chenchen from Aunt Yang's hands.

"Chenchen!" Aunt Yang exclaimed in alarm. She dropped her vegetable basket and chased after her, but being of advanced age, she lost her footing after a few steps, fell to the ground, hit her head on a brick, and passed out.

The group carried Chenchen and ran towards another alley. Song Weidong, realizing what was happening, chased after them without thinking.

The group ran all the way to an abandoned courtyard.

After putting Chenchen down, the group sat down, panting heavily. Song Weidong was the last to catch up, squatting down and also catching his breath.

"You...you..."

Chenchen blinked her big eyes at the group of people, her little hands tightly gripping the hem of her clothes, neither crying nor making a fuss.

After finally calming down, the group looked at the child who was neither crying nor making a fuss, and exchanged bewildered glances.

Normally, if a child is taken away by a stranger, they will cry and scream, but this child was surprisingly calm.

"Brother Dong, is he perhaps an idiot?"

“I’m not stupid,” Chenchen said.

The group was taken aback and all looked at Chenchen.

Song Weidong went up to cover Chenchen's mouth, but Chenchen said, "I won't shout, you don't need to cover my mouth."

The group of people looked at each other.

Song Weidong asked, "Little guy, do you know what we're doing?"

Chenchen nodded: "I know."

Song Weidong became interested: "Then do you know if we're good people or bad people?"

Chenchen looked at Song Weidong as if he were an idiot: "You guys must be bad people."

"We're bad guys, aren't you afraid of us?"

Several people stared at Chenchen.

Chenchen glanced at the group of people and shook her head: "I've been through a lot of this kind of thing."

What?

I never expected that this kid in front of me had such a story.

"Have you been kidnapped before?"

Chenchen rubbed her chin: "You guys are the gentlest group of people."

Several people were quite surprised to be praised.

Chenchen glanced at them: "You're not bad people, you just went astray. My dad said, 'To err is human,' and as long as you can correct your mistakes, you're still a good kid. Big brother, am I right?"

Song Weidong was speechless when asked the question, and kicked the person next to him hard: "I already said that we were just going to teach Li Ying a lesson. Now look what happened, we've become the bad guys who kidnapped the child."

The group acted impulsively and took such a dangerous step. Now that things have come to this, there's nothing anyone can do.

"Brother Dong, what should we do?" one of them asked, panicking.

I didn't consider the consequences before I did it, and now that things have gone wrong, I'm a little scared.

Chenchen looked at the group and said, "Big brothers, you're all healthy and strong, why are you doing this kind of thing?"

"What do you know, kid?"

Everyone was in a dilemma. When they were trying to snatch the child, the old woman fell down. They didn't know what happened to her, or what crime kidnapping a child constituted.

After thinking for a moment, Song Weidong said to the others, "You guys watch over this child, I'll go ask him."

He couldn't make up his mind, so he came to the school to find Yan Liuli.

Yan Liuli was also somewhat surprised when she heard that they had kidnapped Li Ying's child.

"I told you to teach Li Ying a lesson, so why did you kidnap the child?"

"Everyone acted impulsively and tied up the child. What do you suggest we do now?" Song Weidong wrung his hands anxiously.

Yan Liuli thought for a moment and asked, "How old is the child?"

"About four or five years old."

"You saw what you looked like?"

Song Weidong nodded.

"You're all so stupid! I told you to teach Li Ying a lesson, and you kidnapped her child? Now that child has seen your face clearly, if the child goes back and identifies you, you'll all go to jail," Yan Liuli threatened.

Song Weidong's face turned pale: "What should I do? I can't go to jail. My dad doesn't like me anyway. If I go to jail, he'll be very disappointed."

Although he wasn't his biological father, they had lived together for so many years, and the older man had treated him well.

"Song Weidong, this is the only way now. Let's go all the way and throw that child into the sea," Yan Liuli said viciously.

What?

Song Weidong was terrified. Wasn't this murder?

If they get caught, wouldn't they be stuck in jail for life?

"Are you stupid? As long as no one sees you, you're fine. But if that child is alive, you'll be in jail. Think about it." Yan Liuli's words were even more frightening.

Song Weidong was completely disoriented, pacing back and forth. He was a bastard, but he had never actually killed anyone.

"Song Weidong, think about your future and make a decision quickly. Also, you can't tell anyone about coming to see me." After saying that, Yan Liuli turned around and went back to school.

After pondering for a long time, Song Weidong slunk away.

When Li Ying received a call from her neighbor, she almost fell, but Yin Shu caught her.

"Sister Ying, don't worry, it's alright, let's go back and take a look."

Li Ying calmed herself down and took Yinshu home.

Aunt Yang hit the back of her head and was taken to the hospital. She was saved, but she is still unconscious. In this era, there are no surveillance cameras and no one saw what the perpetrator looked like, so it will be very difficult to find the child.

In her anxiety, Li Ying fainted.
