The safe zone contains a small amount of [energy droplets], food, and water.
These supplies that allow people to survive are secondary.
The most important thing is the construction of safe zones.
The electric grids in those small safe zones were all electrified, allowing survivors who were exhausted while walking through the zombie horde to enter these safe zones and get a good night's sleep.
The news of the several small safe zones that have been set up has already spread among the survivors.
Captain Zhao and Su Ruyan had no idea that there was a small safe zone not far from them.
Everyone immediately became excited and ran towards the small safe zone.
They were trying to shake off the small horde of zombies following behind them.
Hu Yanxiang and Qu Yimin followed closely behind Captain Zhao and his men, fearing that they would be locked outside the safe zone.
Once everyone had run to the power grid, someone took a look around.
The power grid completely sealed off the ruins.
"There is electricity on the power grid."
Hu Yanxiang immediately looked at Qu Yimin.
"There's electricity. Hurry up and figure out how to get us in."
Qu Yimin took two steps forward, walking weakly towards the ruins, and chatted with Lin Zhigang inside the window for a few minutes.
Lin Zhigang generously told Qu Yimin that everyone behind her could enter the small safe zone.
Qu Yimin then hurriedly went back to inform Hu Yanxiang that they could enter.
Lin Zhigang, who was inside, immediately cut off the power to the electric grid at the entrance.
Everyone rushed to open the gates of the electric fence and enter the small safe zone.
That's when they realized there were other people in this small safe zone.
Lin Zhigang frowned slightly as he looked at the group of survivors who had suddenly appeared. Why send Qu Yimin, a woman, to negotiate the entry into the safe zone when there were so many men?
However, before Lin Zhigang could speak, Hu Yanxiang asked:
"Where's the food? Where's the food and water in this small safe zone?"
They were in dire need of these supplies, so their first reaction upon entering the small safe zone was to search for food, water, and [energy droplets].
Lin Zhigang frowned again and looked at Hu Yanxiang.
Hu Yanxiang, however, seemed oblivious to Lin Zhigang's displeased expression.
Perhaps he noticed, but he didn't care.
Qu Yimin carefully pointed to several large packages piled up in the corner of the ruined building.
"Brother Xiang, look, there are supplies here."
Hu Yanxiang and the men behind him rushed forward.
They grabbed those large packages first.
Seeing this, Lin Zhigang felt a strong aversion to Hu Yanxiang. He stepped forward and said to Hu Yanxiang and the others who had opened the package and were rummaging through it:
“These are our things. We put them here and didn’t plan to take them out to use.”
The large packages left behind were actually what Hua Mi planned to leave in the small safe zone.
But they haven't left yet, nor have they left these supplies behind.
Since they are still here, these supplies should belong to Hua Mi.
Hu Yanxiang turned around and shoved Lin Zhigang, causing Lin Zhigang to fall to the ground.
"What do you mean 'your'? Don't think I don't know. These are placed in every safe zone by the Xiangcheng base to rescue survivors."
Hu Yanxiang pointed to a flower printed on the package.
Most of the supplies that flowed out of the Xiangcheng base were printed with the same flower.
Everyone in the entire apocalypse knows this.
Therefore, the supplies Lin Zhigang mentioned were actually relief supplies used by the Xiangcheng base to help survivors.
Since it is intended to rescue survivors, it is also intended to rescue Hu Yanxiang and a few others.
Hu Yanxiang and his men nodded hurriedly, took out the [Energy Drops] from the large package, twisted off the caps, and drank them down in one gulp.
Lin Zhigang sighed inwardly and said earnestly,
"These [energy droplets] should be mixed with jelly stones."
"Then place it in the generator, so that when you go to sleep at night, you can connect to the power grid, and all the survivors who enter the small safe zone can rest well in the safe zone."
"You can't drink these [energy drops]."
In response, Hu Yanxiang punched Lin Zhigang directly in the face, knocking him to the ground.
"Can you shut the hell up? We're exhausted from working out here, and now you're telling us not to drink [Energy Drops]? How are we supposed to recover our strength?"
"How do we fight zombies once we're outside?"
Lin Zhigang was stunned by the beating, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, as he looked at the people standing in front of him.
Not only Hu Yanxiang and his group, but even Captain Zhao and Su Ruyan's team looked at Lin Zhigang with indifference, without offering any help whatsoever.
After Hu Yanxiang and the others stuffed food into their mouths to fill their stomachs,
Hu Yanxiang then turned his face and looked at Captain Zhao with a fawning expression.
He handed a box of cookies to Captain Zhao and said with an awkward smile:
"Look at me, I'm starving. Captain Zhao, here's plenty of supplies."
Look at Hu Yanxiang's face—he's the type to fawn over the powerful, bully the weak, and cowardly the cowardly.
This made Lin Zhigang feel nauseous.
