Chapter 423 You're old, you're useless, you can't even lift a knife.

Hua Mi didn't waste any more words with Uncle Qu. She simply opened the door and went outside, where there wasn't a single zombie in sight.

They were all cleared away before Hua Mi came in.

Uncle Qu chased after Hua Mi to the door and said...

"Alright, I'll trust you this once. Go and bring Dr. Lin, your husband, and your child in. We have plenty of people here to protect you."

However, Hua Mi was unmoved by these words. She went straight out the door, picked up her long sword, and charged towards Captain Zhao.

Uncle Qu watched her retreating figure, his heart filled with anger.

He thought Hua Mi had made up an excuse to come to them so that they would take her in.

Just like when Su Ruyan ran over.

Hua Mi left without looking back. What was that supposed to mean? Did she expect them to run out of their cover and beg him to come back?

Uncle Qu couldn't figure out the key to this, when he saw Hua Mi wielding a knife and charging towards Captain Zhao's side.

Soon, her figure disappeared into the horde of zombies.

Hua Mi then entered the ruins where Captain Zhao was.

Uncle Qu squinted for a moment. This woman was plump with a fair complexion. He never expected her to be so skilled at using a knife to kill zombies.

Uncle Qu immediately turned around and found Qu Yimin. He asked,

"Was that burdened child with a child always very skilled in combat?"

Qu Yimin nodded.

Hua Mi's figure has changed, and her face looks like a white steamed bun, but she is much thinner than she was in the later stages of her pregnancy.

Qu Yimin hadn't looked closely at what Hua Mi's face looked like.

She said to Uncle Qu in a timid and hesitant tone,

"That old woman with the yellow face is really powerful. When we were following behind them, I saw that most of the time, it was that old woman with the yellow face who was fighting the zombies."

"Dr. Lin is repairing the power grid, but her husband is nowhere to be found."

Uncle Qu nodded knowingly.

"If that's the case, then we'll agree if she joins us."

Among this group of over 100 people, no one has been able to move freely in and out of the zombie horde like Hua Mi.

Uncle Qu saw it clearly: compared to Su Ruyan, a woman with such strong fighting power, Hua Mi was far more useful.

Then Qu Yimin said,

"Actually, her man is more capable than her, but he doesn't often use the RV."

Uncle Qu's eyes lit up after hearing this. What the world needs most right now is people with strong fighting abilities.

He immediately gathered his bodyguards and sent two of them to the RV to invite Gong Yi over.

Qu Yimin followed behind Uncle Qu and asked,

"Uncle, should we defend this bunker to the death?"

Uncle Qu shook his head in agreement.

"Don't listen to that woman's nonsense. Do you know how fast those mutated beasts are?"

“When your uncle left the E City base, he brought more than 200 people with him, but now there are only 100 left.”

An hour or so has passed since the woman said there was a mutated beast tide.

"Do you know how far those mutated beasts can run in an hour or two?"

Therefore, Uncle Qu's point is that we should look at the issue from a dialectical perspective.

After calming Qu Yimin down, he waited for the people he had sent out to bring Gong Yi, Dr. Lin, and the two children over.

Inside the bunker, the Qu family's bodyguards continued with their own activities, some playing cards, others drinking.

Some men even went so far as to harass Su Ruyan, whose leg had been broken.

The ultimate evil was unfolding inside the bunker.

Just then, a mutated beast suddenly appeared out of nowhere, pounced on Qu Yimin, and bit the throat of a man behind her.

At this moment, Qu Yimin had not yet reacted.

All the men in the bunker were doing their own thing, completely oblivious to the danger.

It wasn't until a warm liquid splattered onto the back of Qu Yimin's head that she shakily turned around and looked at the humanoid mutant beast behind her, which had a pair of pointed ears and a long tail.

The mutated beast's mouth was full of blood, and it stared intently at Qu Yimin with its golden vertical pupils.

Qu Yimin opened her mouth, but was too frightened to utter a sound.

A man standing next to Qu Yimin pointed at his companion whose throat had been bitten open and suddenly realized what was happening.

He hurriedly pulled out his gun.

But before he could even aim, another mutated beast rushed in through the open door and pounced into the group of men playing cards inside the bunker.

"Close the door! Close the door now!!!"

Uncle Qu shouted loudly.

Immediately afterward, the moment the bunker door was closed, a crashing sound came from outside.

It was a mutated beast that had already reached outside the bunker, ramming against the bunker door.

Qu Yimin, pale-faced, snapped out of her daze and looked at Uncle Qu, asking in a trembling voice,

"Uncle, what's wrong, Uncle? What happened?"

Before Uncle Qu could answer Qu Yimin, he reached out and grabbed her wrist.

Uncle Qu originally intended to take Qu Yimin to the basement, but Qu Yimin, for some unknown reason, started shouting loudly.

"What happened? What happened? Don't touch me, please don't touch me, I beg you, please don't touch me."

She completely lost control of herself and screamed at the top of her lungs.

Her expression was erratic, and her behavior was nothing like that of a mentally sound woman.
