As soon as Shi Caixia said this, Zhong Zimo and all the men around him frowned.
None of them expected that things would get stuck with Hua Mi after they had planned all this.
Mi Guoyuan's boss had a very unpleasant expression on his face.
He looked at Zhong Ziming as if he were looking at a dead man.

He had also worked in management before, and he understood that not all managers were like him, willingly "degrading" themselves and associating with shady characters.
After a long while, Zhang Jifeng stepped forward and patted Zhong Ziming on the shoulder.
"That's more like it. If you had said you were aware of this earlier, those City C administrators under your command wouldn't have died."
"And think about it, in this kind of environment, almost everyone is dead. We should be more willing to deal with capable people. The old, lukewarm approach of the management is outdated."
Zhong Ziming wholeheartedly agreed with what Zhang Jifeng said.
He sneered. It seemed that there was no other way but to not associate with this group.
Once a consensus was reached, Zhong Ziming began to work on purchasing supplies in Xiangcheng.
According to his plan, since Hua Mi was not sending supplies to D City, they could go to Xiang City to haul them away.
In short, Zhong Ziming has money, but what he lacks now is manpower.
According to Zhong Ziming, there are people with superpowers in City D.
Furthermore, these incredibly strong superhumans are loyal to the D City administration.

She felt this deal was very worthwhile; Zhong Ziming wouldn't take the supplies for free, he would pay for them.

"We've already broken up. I'm not your girlfriend anymore. We only have business between us. Let's not talk about personal matters anymore."
Zhong Ziming would certainly not agree. Now that he'd fallen into this predicament, he was even less likely to agree to sever ties with Shi Caixia.
"That was just a one-sided breakup on your part. I've always said that I don't agree to the breakup."
After saying that, Zhong Ziming hung up the phone. He knew Shi Caixia; she was a very serious person.
Because of her unlovable personality and less-than-ideal looks, she had no other suitors.
Even if Shi Caixia said she wanted to break up, as time went on, she had no one else by her side and could only stay with Zhong Ziming.
Zhong Ziming needed to purchase supplies from Hua Mi, and Shi Caixia was his best conduit.
After being rejected and having to break up, Shi Caixia rushed to the outside of the C City supply depot and told Hua Mi about Zhong Ziming's desire to buy a large quantity of supplies and his intention to handle the shipping himself.
However, Hua Mi rejected it outright.
The reason is simple: Hua Mi doesn't want to sell the supplies to Zhong Zimo in large quantities.
Hua Mi, touching her large pregnant belly, said to Shi Caixia...
"Commander Gong has arrived in D City. He said that there are not that many survivors in D City at all."
“These supplies were sold to Zhong Zimo, but he may not necessarily use them on the survivors.”
Standing in the heavy snow, Shi Caixia looked utterly astonished.

According to Huo Jing's statistics, the Xiang-D Expressway was not actually cleared for long, and there weren't that many survivors from D City.
The few survivors scattered around were mostly strong and had traveled from other cities, taking a detour to D City, and then getting on the Xiang-D Expressway from D City.

Hua Mi frowned as she recalled the group of zombies who had stumbled and struggled, seemingly unable to find their way there.
"If necessary, I'd like to blow up the Hunan-D Expressway."
These words startled Shi Caixia. She asked,
"What happened? This road was finally cleared after a lot of trouble."
Although it wasn't Hua Mi's clearing team that cleared the Xiang D Expressway, it was still the result of the efforts of those superpowered individuals in D City.
So blowing up this highway would only make it more difficult for survivors from D City to get to Xiang City, wouldn't it?
Hua Mi raised her hand and patted Shi Caixia on the shoulder.

"It's better to blow up the Xiang D Expressway than to have these zombies come over one after another."
Shi Caixia did not understand what Hua Mi said.
Shi Caixia understood every single word she said, but when those words were put together, she couldn't understand them at all.
Hua Mi pointed to Zhou Cheng, who was squatting on the ground drawing circles not far away, and said to Shi Caixia.
"Why don't you ask Zhou Cheng? I still need to pack my things for D City. Zhou Cheng should be able to explain it better than I can."
Following the direction Hua Mi pointed, Shi Caixia looked towards Zhou Cheng.
Shi Caixia didn't know if it was just her imagination, but she felt that the man who used to be so spirited was now squatting on the snow, looking as aggrieved as a big husky.
She probably won't be able to go to school this week. If she can be discharged from the hospital today, she can go back to school on Thursday, and then have a holiday on Friday.
