Chapter 246 Can I follow you from now on?

The snow was pristine and bare, without even a single withered branch.

Hua Mi's brand-new black van was parked on this snowy plain.

A disheveled woman ran toward Hua Mi's nanny van, only to be tackled to the ground by a group of men halfway there.

They laughed as if no one else was around, their behavior was outrageous and utterly unrestrained.

Hua Mi opened the door of the van, her belly swollen, and poked her head out to look outside.

The group of men not far from the van paused, then exchanged glances.

What? They thought there was some important person in that van, but it turned out to be a pregnant woman with a big belly.

Hua Mi blinked her fox-like eyes, tilted her head, looked at the group of men, and counted their heads.

The woman on the ground shouted loudly.

"Help! Help!"

No one knows how she did it, but she suddenly pushed the man off her and ran towards Hua Mi.

She ran and cried at the same time.

"Help me, please help me, waaaaaah~~"

Judging from her appearance, she was wearing a brand-new cotton-padded jacket, and although her cheeks looked haggard, they were still fleshy.

She's good-looking.

Hua Mi glanced at the woman, and before she could close the door, the woman pried open the door of the van and jumped in.

She was trembling in the car, quickly glanced around, and asked Hua Mi in surprise,

Are you all alone here?

So how did she, a pregnant woman, manage to get this nanny van here?

Or perhaps Hua Mi has a man who has gone out to find supplies and will return in a while?

Hua Mi tilted her head, quietly watching the woman who forced her way into her car. Her fox-like eyes sparkled, and she curled her lips into a smile.

"It's just me."

The group of men outside started knocking on the door.

"Hey, get out here right now, or we'll flip your car over."

All the men surrounded her, and several of them, holding iron bars, began banging on Hua Mi's car window.

Inside the car, the woman said in fear:

"What do we do? What do we do? They'll come in, what do we do?"

She looked at the woman expressionlessly and said coldly,

"It's simple, just hand you over, isn't that enough?"

The disheveled woman, crying, paused, then looked at Hua Mi in surprise, seemingly not expecting Hua Mi to say such a thing.

After a while, amidst the shouting of the men outside, the woman said somewhat angrily to Hua Mi,

"How could you hand me over? I..."

"Are you suggesting we hand over a pregnant woman like me?"

Hua Mi interrupted the woman, calmly sitting down in the airline-style seat by the door and quietly watching her.

The woman opened her mouth, but then fell silent.

After a while, she lowered her eyes and said in a low voice,

"What do we do now? They're about to break in."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than the man outside stabbed the wheel of Hua Mi's nanny van with a knife.

They let the air out of the tires in the nanny van.

Hua Mi's face hardened, and she said to the woman...

"It's one thing to bully you, but letting the air out of my tires is going too far."

The woman was speechless, looking at the heartless Hua Mi, and stammered...

"How could you... how could you say that?"

Hua Mi ignored the woman, got up, opened the car door, and stood in the snow.

Almost the instant Hua Mi stepped out of the van, the woman behind her got up and slammed the van door shut.

Locked up.

Hua Mi glanced back and thought, "Oh ho~ I've run into the worst of the worst today."

The men around the car surrounded Hua Mi, and one of them uttered a disgusted curse.

"How come she's still pregnant?"

"How are we going to entertain guests if we take this back? What bad luck!"

Some people don't care.

"Just get rid of the child. I think she's quite pretty. And who knows how much stuff is in this car? We'll make a fortune this time."

Upon hearing this, Hua Mi placed her hands on her large belly, frowned slightly, and looked at the grinning men around her.

"Have some conscience, okay? I'm almost five months pregnant, how can you be so cruel?"

The men laughed:

"She said we're cruel?"

"If you were alone in this freezing weather, you would freeze to death before your baby is even born. We are here to save you."

"Enough with the nonsense, let's hold her down first, then get rid of the baby."

As he spoke, a man reached out to grab Hua Mi.

What kind of evil is this? It's a thousand times worse than the administrators Hua Mi encountered in the emergency room at the beginning.

Human nature is deteriorating rapidly, and the rites and music have collapsed to this extent in just a few months.

Hua Mi sighed and took out her Gatling gun.

"I will not spare any of your lives."

Human scum doesn't even deserve the chance to escape.

Gunshots rang out, and a group of men fell in the snow. Hua Mi leaned against her Gatling gun, her back against the car door.

A moment later, before she could collect the body from the snow into the medium-sized recycling station, the car door behind her opened.

The woman stood blankly inside the car, looking at the corpses surrounding Hua Mi.

Her gaze, filled with unspoken emotions, fell upon Hua Mi.

Hua Mi turned to look at her, her eyes filled with a defiant light.

The woman immediately came to her senses. She jumped out of the car, fell to the ground, and knelt before Hua Mi, crying.

"Thank you, thank you so much. I don't know how to thank you enough. You saved me. Thank you."

Hua Mi felt a surge of sarcasm. She carried her Gatling gun back, sat on the footrest by the car door, and said to the woman,
