Hua Mi found the design very thoughtful, and when she heard the patrol officer in front of her explaining it to her, she nodded.
She saw Lin Zhigang sitting anxiously in his chair, constantly making phone calls to his father.
Hua Mi then asked, "Dr. Lin, your father hasn't answered the phone yet?"
Lin Zhigang shook his head, looking like he was about to cry.
So Hua Mi stopped talking and urged the garrison to drive, heading north towards Xiangcheng.
Gong Yi, north of Xiangcheng, is reinforcing the Yunwu City Wall. The city wall west of Xiangcheng has now been built to a height of eight or nine meters.
The foreman, along with a large group of female laborers, gradually extended the city wall to the north of Xiangcheng.
At the construction site in northern Xiangcheng, the foreman heard that Hua Mi had brought her brother and sister to northern Xiangcheng.
His eyes were shining brightly.
The foreman immediately produced two enormous diamond necklaces, each bead the size of a pigeon egg.
The foreman, beaming with delight, said to Huo Jing, who was standing to the side:
"See this? See this? This is a gift I specially got for my brother and sister."
Huo Jing was utterly speechless. She rolled her eyes at the foreman and calmly said:
"But the brother and sister are too young to play with this kind of diamond necklace."
He didn't know where the contractor got this diamond necklace from.
Every single pigeon egg looks exactly the same, with the same specifications and size.
It glitters and shines in the bright sunlight, so bright it hurts your eyes.
Such a large pigeon egg was rare even before the apocalypse.
However, the contractor found two large strings of them.
The foreman ignored Huo Jing and stood by the roadside, happily carrying two diamond necklaces, to personally welcome Hua Mi's arrival.
As the van slowly came to a stop and the door opened, the foreman immediately went to greet him, calling out:
"Oh, oh, my brothers and sisters~ I've come to see you~!"
However, his body was casually pushed aside by Gong Yi behind him.
Yes, it was moved to the side.
Gong Yi got into the car, and the contractor could only follow behind, watching helplessly as Gong Yi picked up his younger sister from the bed and carefully comforted her.
The younger sister's big eyes stared at Gong Yi the moment she saw him.
Gong Yi was overjoyed.
"Oh, you see Daddy's here! Oh, you missed Daddy too?"
"Mmm, Daddy misses you too, I miss you so much."
Hua Mi, standing to the side, felt a toothache from hearing Gong Yi's words.
The foreman looked aggrieved and shuffled over to his brother's side.
He took out the diamond necklace he was holding and waved it at his brother.
"Look, brother, this is what I made for you."
The older brother frowned seriously, glancing sideways at the ground.
He didn't seem very interested in those shiny things.
Hua Mi, standing nearby, looked curiously at the diamond necklace in the contractor's hand.
She was a little surprised, just like Huo Jing.
I just felt that this contractor was incredibly capable, managing to get two such large diamond necklaces.
Then I heard the foreman say to my brother:
"What's wrong? Don't you like such a small pigeon egg? I have an even bigger one here."
Because the older brother in the crib was kicking his legs and raising his hands, his little mouth was open and closed, and his eyes were only looking at the foreman, but he wasn't smiling.
The older brother's attention was not at all on the diamond necklace in the contractor's hand.
So the contractor assumed that the older brother probably didn't like such small pigeon eggs.
Hua Mi was about to speak up for her brother, saying that he was too young to appreciate such things.
Then we saw the foreman rummaging through his briefcase and pulling out a huge diamond the size of a fist.
He placed the large diamond next to his brother, then turned his head and rummaged through his bag, pulling out another large diamond the size of a fist.
The foreman said happily:
"This one belongs to my sister."
As he spoke, he looked at the younger sister that Gong Yi was holding in his arms. The foreman looked a little lonely. Could he hold his sister for a while?
"Place the younger sister's things next to the older brother's first."
The foreman spoke pitifully, hoping that Gong Yi would have a change of heart and let him hug his sister.
However, Gong Yi completely ignored the contractor's emotions.
Hua Mi was genuinely surprised this time.
She raised an eyebrow and deliberately said to the foreman:
"I've been wanting one this big lately."
She gestured to indicate the size of a handbag and said...
"Do you have a diamond this big?"
The foreman scratched his head, rummaged through his bag, and actually pulled out a diamond the size of a handbag for Hua Mi.
And with a fawning expression, he said,
"Here you go, Miss Hua, I have an even bigger one here."
Hua Mi casually pointed outside the nanny van and said to the contractor.
"Then get me a diamond the size of a toy car."
This is putting the contractor in a bit of a bind.
However, he rubbed his hands together, thought for a moment, and realized that he couldn't hide it any longer.
It seems that nothing can be hidden from Miss Hua.
The foreman simply straightened his back.
"Yes, yes, I can get it for Miss Hua. No matter how big the diamond is, I can get it for Miss Hua."
As he spoke, the foreman reached into his bag and started to rummage through it.
Hua Mi grabbed the contractor's wrist and dragged him out of the van.
