"Wanqing, don't act impulsively!" Gu Qingyan glanced at the phone on the ground. He didn't want everyone to be blown to pieces. He lowered his head and calmed down for a second, replacing his stern reprimand with a soft admonition.
Because Xiao Wanqing had her back to everyone, the others didn't know what had happened; they only saw that Xiao Wanqing had unbuttoned her coat.
Xiao Wanqing smiled faintly, but her laughter carried a strange and eerie tone.
Ignoring Gu Qingyan's warning look, she gracefully turned around to face everyone, then raised her hand and waved the detonator in her palm, smiling sweetly, "Sorry, since everyone's here, let's all die together, it'll be quite a satisfying ending."
Everyone present felt a sudden tightness in their chest.
“If you’re willing to put down the detonator, I can promise you I won’t let Gu Qingyan send you back to Country A. You can stay in Nancheng.” Gu Suian frowned slightly and said calmly. He knew this wasn’t the time to confront Xiao Wanqing head-on.
"Oh. It's getting late." Xiao Wanqing smiled faintly, her eyes lowered. She stretched out her free right hand and began to slowly tidy the stray hairs around her face, not agreeing with Gu Suian's words.
"What else do you want? You can tell us, and we will try our best to meet your needs." Gu Suian squeezed Mu Ziqi's trembling hand and asked calmly.
"Let Shen Zhi Qiu come down to see me first. I know she's here." Xiao Wanqing curled the corners of her lips, raised an eyebrow and smiled, her eyes revealing an indescribable sense of pride and smugness.
"Impossible!" Lu Jia stood up abruptly, looking at Xiao Wanqing with icy eyes. He knew all too well that Xiao Wanqing was a person full of bad intentions, and he directly and decisively rejected her unreasonable request.
"Oh dear, why are you rejecting me so decisively! I haven't even said what I want to see her for yet." Xiao Wanqing raised her chin haughtily, curled the corners of her mouth, then her eyes shifted and she laughed again, "But you should think carefully, if Shen Zhi Qiu doesn't come down, she'll be blown up here too."
Lu Jia was stunned, glaring fiercely at Xiao Wanqing, but at this moment it seemed there was no other way to choose. He suddenly hated himself for agreeing to let Shen Zhi Qiu return here; this place was no place for a human being.
"Qingyan, you know I've never had much patience. If I want to do something, I have to do it before I'm satisfied." Xiao Wanqing smiled softly at Gu Qingyan, but there was no smile in her eyes.
Seeing that Gu Qingyan was still hesitating, Xiao Wanqing pouted in dissatisfaction and then quickly pressed the switch in her hand.
With a loud bang, an explosion suddenly rang out outside the villa, scattering rubble everywhere. The enormous impact shattered the glass in the living room.
"Depend on!"
Sun Yang, who had been following them all along, was now crouching not far from the villa. He patted the dust off his head and body and cursed under his breath. Luckily, he had crouched far away to avoid being discovered, otherwise he would have been blown to bits.
He angrily pulled out his phone.
"Something terrible has happened! There's been an explosion in front of the Gu family villa. I'm worried about Shen Zhi Qiu's life. What should I do?"
The person on the other end pondered for a moment, then ordered, "Don't make any moves yet. Go closer and observe what's going on. I'll send people to support you. Make sure they're alive." With that, the person hung up the phone.
Sun Yang frowned, but moved forward a little, trying to find a convenient spot to continue observing. He studied the wall carefully and found that the side closest to the garden was slightly lower, and it also offered a view into the living room. So, he crouched down, slowly moved closer to the garden, carefully observed the camera's position, chose a blind spot, put his phone in his pocket, grabbed the top of the wall with both hands, climbed up with all his might, and then jumped down. He quietly slipped inside and crouched by the glass door leading from the garden to the living room, observing what was happening inside.
The loud explosion terrified Mu Ziqi. She abruptly crouched down, clutching her head in her hands, her fingertips trembling uncontrollably. Gu Suian knelt down beside her with concern, gently comforting her, but his eyes remained wary.
"This is a greeting gift, and also a warning." Xiao Wanqing glanced down at Mu Ziqi, curled her lip in disdain, and then turned to Gu Qingyan, saying seriously, "Qingyan, have you thought this through? Should we call Shen Zhiqi down?"
"Xiao Wanqing, are you insane?! How dare you blow up the house!" Shen Zhi Qiu had somehow appeared at the corner of the stairs on the first floor, glaring angrily at Xiao Wanqing, her eyes practically spitting fire. The explosion had startled Lin Yun Jin, causing her to have a seizure and hide in the closet in fear. Shen Zhi Qiu's attempts to persuade her to come out were futile, and fearing another explosion, she asked Zhou Xiao Ran to look after Lin Yun Jin while she came down to check on the situation. She had initially thought it was an accident, but it turned out to be Xiao Wanqing's doing!
"Whether I'm crazy or not is hard to say, hehe." Xiao Wanqing laughed triumphantly. "However, I can use being mentally unstable to get away with killing people, let alone blowing up a small pavilion in front of a villa. What's there to be afraid of?"
As she spoke, Xiao Wanqing slowly moved her feet toward Shen Zhi Qiu.
