Chapter 258 Gu Ningning is transferred

"Get out!" Gu Qingyan stood up unsteadily and downed the wine glass in his hand in one gulp.

"Sir, you've broken all our glasses. We'll have to ask you to pay for them." A waiter approached and said cautiously.

"Okay, okay, we'll make it up to you." Seeing that Gu Qingyan had drunk too much, Huang Lin didn't want to cause any more trouble and quickly said to the waiter.

"Okay, then I'll have to trouble you to come with me to the counter to settle the bill later." Seeing that Huang Lin agreed so readily, the waiter decided to back off without saying anything more, but whispered a reminder: "Then please come directly over later, and also, please keep an eye on your friend so that he doesn't accidentally break any of our things."

"Okay, don't worry, we'll be leaving right away." Huang Lin said with a smile, bending over. "He's had too much to drink. I'll take him away after he rests for a bit. Sorry for the trouble."

Gu Qingyan looked displeased and was about to lose his temper, but Huang Lin quickly leaned over and whispered in his ear, "Please don't get angry. The most important thing right now isn't Madam's problem, but Miss Gu's safety. You just promised your second uncle that you would help raise money. We don't have as much capital in the capital as we do in the south. It will take some time to withdraw the money, so..."

"Okay," Gu Qingyan also came to her senses, nodded, and stopped throwing a tantrum. "Go pay the bill. I'll pay for the things I broke. I'll wait for you to come back here."

Seeing that he had regained consciousness, Huang Lin paid the bill with peace of mind, took Gu Qingyan away from the bar, and went to a five-star hotel near the hospital to check in.

While taking a shower, Gu Qingyan took off her clothes and saw the many new scars she had accumulated recently. A surge of hatred welled up in her eyes.

He gently touched the wound on his chest, his eyes turning cold.

………..

She didn't know how long she had been unconscious, but when Gu Ningning woke up, she found herself in a small wooden cabin. The duct tape covering her body had been removed. Somewhat surprised, she stood up and walked towards the door.

Pushing open the creaking wooden door, a vast expanse of lake comes into view, with the cabin situated in the very center of the lake.

Gu Ningning looked around and saw no one; it looked desolate.

She pursed her lips, looked at the lake in front of her, and couldn't help but stomp her foot. She couldn't swim at all.

Moreover, this scene doesn't seem like something you can just swim out of, since the lake has no end in sight, and she has no idea which direction to swim in to get out.

They might have been exhausted by the time they reached the middle and wouldn't have had the strength to come back.

In short, she was imprisoned here.

When she woke up, she wanted to run out and shout for help to see if anyone could find her, but when she came out and saw this scene, she was disheartened.

The only saving grace was that she wasn't tied up and could still move around freely.

She slunk back home, saw a red landline phone on the small table next to the sofa, her eyes lit up, she rushed over, grabbed the receiver, and pressed the emergency call button.

But the next second, she discovered that the telephone line had been cut.

Gu Ningning sat at the door of the wooden house, looking at the boundless lake, feeling extremely annoyed. She shouldn't have rushed to the capital on a whim!

If this were in the southern part of the city, there would be no way we would be in such a predicament!

By the afternoon, when Gu Ningning was starving and couldn't find anything to eat, she suddenly saw a small black dot in the distance moving towards the cabin.

Almost twenty minutes later, Gu Ningning finally saw that the person was dressed in all black, wearing a small black hat and a black mask, with only their eyes showing.

Gu Ningning took a few steps back in fear, pursing her lips and looking at the small boat with anxiety.

"You're awake?"

The man stopped the boat, jumped off, and spoke. Gu Ningning recognized him immediately.

"Why did you tie me up here?" Gu Ningning looked around, trying to find a stick to defend herself, but there was nothing.

"Stop looking, I've put away anything that could hurt you!" The henchman chuckled and walked towards Gu Ningning, saying, "How about I tie you up and bring you here? There's no signal here, it's very well hidden, and it's impossible for anyone else to find this place. Only boats can travel on the lake."

"As long as I don't send a boat, you won't leave." The younger brother chuckled as he spoke. "Otherwise, why would I let you go? Because I'm not afraid you'll run away; you can't escape at all!"

"When will you let me go?" Gu Ningning asked hesitantly. "I'm scared to be here by myself."

"If you're scared, I'll tie you up and lock you in the room. You won't be afraid if you don't come out and can't see outside. Anyway, no one will come."

The younger brother smiled and said sarcastically.

After saying that, he stepped forward, took out a rope from his pocket, and prepared to tie Gu Ningning up again.

"Don't come any closer!" Gu Ningning took several steps back in fear. Because she hadn't eaten, she was a little weak and accidentally bumped into a pillar in the center of the living room. Her back ached from the impact, but she didn't dare to make a sound.

"So? Should I tie you up?" The underling smirked. "It doesn't matter to me anyway. Tying you up is even better. I won't have to worry about anything. I'll just untie you when I bring you food so you can eat and use the restroom. It'll save me a lot of trouble."

"No, no, no! Brother, don't tie me up. I'll stay put and promise not to cause you any trouble!"

Gu Ningning licked her lips and nervously clenched her sleeve.

Seeing that he had successfully frightened Gu Ningning, the henchman nodded in satisfaction. "Alright, you stay put and don't cause any trouble. I'll contact your dad tomorrow and have him send me the money, then I'll let you go."

"How do I know if you'll kill the hostage?" Gu Ningning looked at him in his black clothes with some fear, unsure of his true intentions.

"Haha," the henchman laughed loudly, "I'm only after money, and I want to stay alive to squander it all! If I kill you, I'll have to find a way to destroy the evidence, so why would I bother?!"

Suddenly, the younger brother saw a glimmer of light appear not far away. The light and shadow moved rapidly. Startled, the younger brother quickly ran to the door to observe carefully.

Upon seeing this, he was so frightened that his legs went weak. He rushed to the power switch and pulled the main switch down. Instantly, the entire room was plunged into darkness.

"What are you going to do?" Gu Ningning shrank back and asked nervously, her voice trembling.

"Shut up! If you don't want to die, you'd better shut your mouth tightly! Otherwise, you won't even know how you died!" The henchman covered Gu Ningning's mouth and pulled her down to squat down.
