Chapter 295 Found Grandma

"I've sent the address to your phone. What should we do now? I'll follow your instructions."

The man opposite looked at the old woman who was half-reclining in a recliner by the bamboo grove with a wary expression. Next to the recliner was a small chair, and a little boy was sitting close to her, leisurely fishing with a fishing rod.

"Who called just now?" Shen Yanshan looked at the woman in front of him with a gloomy face and felt a chill for no reason.

"Why should I tell you?!" Lin Yueshan was seething with anger, and the pain on her face made her even more irritable.

"What are you saying? We're husband and wife. What are you hiding from me?" Shen Yanshan reverted to his chauvinistic ways, his expression darkening further.

"Then why did you ask her to keep it a secret from me when you took Meiyan to the capital? You wouldn't tell me even when I called you! If you hadn't acted impulsively, how could my daughter have been controlled by someone? I haven't seen her for so long. She's been spoiled since she was little, how could she endure any hardship! Shen Zhi Qiu must have tormented her a lot!"

As she spoke, Lin Yueshan's eyes suddenly reddened, and tears were already welling up in her eyes.

But when she looked at the indifferent man in front of her, she desperately held back her tears.

The man who had been lying in wait quietly pressed the shutter button, taking many photos in a row, and then sent them to Lin Yueshan.

Lin Yueshan clicked on the picture, and hatred instantly welled up in her eyes.

She zoomed in on the picture and saw a face that resembled Lin Yunjin's, which fueled her hatred even more.

"After all these years, this old codger hasn't changed much at all!"

Upon hearing this, Shen Yanshan curiously leaned closer.

Lin Yueshan immediately looked at him warily, then locked her phone screen to prevent him from seeing it.

However, Shen Yanshan still saw the person in the photo, who was Shen Zhi Qiu's maternal grandmother.

The elderly woman in the picture is wearing a dark purple cheongsam. Her once short, graying hair has grown long and is elegantly tied back with a delicate hairpin.

She smiled at the little boy in front of her, her face full of affection.

"You had someone investigate her?! Where is Shen Zhi Qiu's grandmother?" Shen Yan Shan asked bluntly, his voice filled with shock.

"No comment." Lin Yueshan was still angry and didn't want to pay any attention to Shen Yanshan.

"Yueshan, stop fooling around. The most important thing now is to find where Meiyan is. We, as husband and wife, should work together." Shen Yanshan said shamelessly.

"So what? Why weren't you thinking about these things when you hit me?" Lin Yueshan retorted without any politeness. "Besides, you said we should work together, but what have you done? You haven't been home every day lately, and I don't even know where you've been. You said you went to have people look for Meiyan. I'm asking you, have you found any clues?"

Lin Yueshan grew angrier as she spoke, pointing directly at Shen Yanshan and yelling, "I'm starting to suspect you don't care about our daughter at all?! Who knows if you're just using looking for your daughter as an excuse to fool around?! I should probably hire a private investigator to look you up!"

"You're being completely unreasonable!" Shen Yanshan suddenly raised his voice, turned around angrily to look out the window, and didn't say anything more to her.

However, as he turned around, Shen Yanshan nervously clenched his hands. He glanced at the rearview mirror, making sure Lin Yueshan wasn't looking at him, before letting out a sigh of relief.

Beside the bamboo grove.

"Wow! Grandma, look! Look! I caught a fish!" Lu Xiaoyu had been fishing all morning without seeing a single fish. She was just about to pack up and go home for lunch when suddenly a fish took the bait!

Lu Xiaoyu excitedly placed the fish in the bucket under the recliner, and happily picked up the bucket to run towards the house not far away, muttering, "Grandma, close your eyes and rest for a while longer, I'm going to find Brother Zhongyi, we can eat the fish I caught myself for lunch today!"

After saying that, he grabbed the bucket and ran away.

"Xiaoyu, slow down! Be careful, child, don't fall!"

Grandma looked at Lu Xiaoyu's retreating figure with affection, then lay down again with a smile.

In the kitchen.

Zhong Yi was wearing an apron and busy preparing lunch for the three of them.

"Brother Zhongyi, I've noticed that your cooking skills are getting better and better!" Lu Xiaoyu walked in with a smile, and seeing that Zhongyi had already prepared two dishes and a soup, which looked and smelled delicious, she couldn't help but praise him.

"Of course! I've been doing this for so long! It was all arranged for me by your brother Lu. He said that if there were too many people around, it would leak secrets and affect Shen Zhi Qiu's grandmother's recuperation, so he specifically asked me to bring her back here to live in seclusion."

Honestly, I'm about to burst from boredom. It's beautiful here, with its picturesque scenery. But it just proves the saying, "Beautiful mountains and rivers, but also incredibly boring."

Zhong Yi was focused on cutting potato shreds, so she didn't look up.

Seeing that Zhong Yi hadn't seen the fish she'd caught, Lu Xiaoyu couldn't contain herself any longer. She quickly ran over, slapped the fish onto the marble stove, and said cheerfully, "Brother Zhong Yi, look, the fish I caught! Aren't I amazing!"

Zhong Yi was startled and almost cut his own hand. He looked at Lu Xiaoyu and said irritably, "Do you really think your brother Zhong Yi has too much of a life? You almost chopped off your own finger!"

"I'm sorry, Brother Zhongyi, I didn't mean to." Lu Xiaoyu said apologetically, quickly stepping forward and rolling up her sleeves to help.

"No, no, no, I'm begging you, please don't come to help, that's the best help you can give." Zhong Yi saw that Lu Xiaoyu was going to come and help with the cooking, so he quickly waved his hand and told him to leave.

“You said you'd help with cooking before, but you burned the non-stick pan; a few days ago you wanted to make porridge, but you broke my clay pot. Today, don't bother helping. Just tell me what you want to eat, okay?”

Zhong Yi teased him, somewhat helplessly.

"I was thinking of making you and Grandma some fish soup to help you recover," Lu Xiaoyu said softly, pursing her lips.

Zhongyi's lips twitched slightly. "You said you wanted to use this fish to nourish me and Grandma?"

“Yes!” Lu Xiaoyu picked up the fish and shook it. “It’s a bit small, but it should be enough for soup, right?”

Just then, a kitten's meow came from the kitchen doorway.

Lu Xiaoyu turned around and saw that Yuanqiu had already walked over with cat-like steps. When it reached the door, it stretched and stared longingly at the fish in Lu Xiaoyu's hand.

"Oh no, even the round ball wants to eat it." Lu Xiaoyu was a little troubled.

"Xiaoyu, forgive my bluntness, but this fish is only enough for Yuanqiu to eat, and it might not even be enough to fill her up," Zhong Yi said, suppressing a laugh as she pointed to the small fish, less than ten centimeters long, in Lu Xiaoyu's hand.
