Chapter 310 A Harmonious Scene

As soon as Rong Mo drove his car into the Rong family villa, he saw a black car parked at the gate.

He got out of the car and opened the trunk.

The housekeeper quickly came up and helped unload the items.

"My dad's here, isn't he?" Rong Mo asked casually, taking down a bag of baby toys.

"Yes, they've been here for a while now, upstairs with the children." The butler emptied the trunk and closed the lid.

"Okay, I understand." Rong Mo nodded. "Give these things to Aunt Zhao. Aunt Zhao, take Zhao Zhao and Niannian's things upstairs. The rest are for the young lady."

The housekeeper went inside first, carrying the things.

Lu Wei got out of the car, looked around, and then looked down at the gardenias in the yard. A slight smile appeared on her lips as she said softly, "It seems that Zhi Qiu likes gardenias."

Rong Mo looked at her with some confusion and asked, "Hmm?"

Lu Wei smiled and pointed to the gardenias on the ground, explaining, "Lu Jia used to plant a lot of white gardenias in his yard. I was curious why a grown man would like to tend to flowers and plants, especially that patch of gardenias. He even built a glass house for them in the winter, afraid that the flowers would freeze to death when it snowed. Now it seems that it must be because Zhi Qiu likes them."

Rong Mo smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, Zhi Qiu really likes it, so she planted it at the entrance so she can smell her favorite fragrance as soon as she gets out of the car."

A hint of tenderness, unnoticed even by himself, flickered in his eyes, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.

“Let’s go inside first. I’ll take you to see the children. They shouldn’t be asleep yet; they’re probably drinking milk.” Rong Mo said, striding into the house, with Lu Wei following behind him slowly.

Upon entering, Rong Mo headed straight for the stairs.

As soon as Rong Mo reached the top of the stairs on the third floor, he heard bursts of laughter coming from inside.

He pushed open the door and saw a scene of joy and harmony.

Rong Hong had already changed out of his usual dark suit and into casual clothes.

He held the exquisitely beautiful baby in his arms as if he were cherishing a priceless treasure.

He gently pinched Niannian's chubby little feet, a smile on his face.

Niannian babbled incoherently, smiling sweetly.

Seeing how happy Niannian was, he bent down, holding a small, exquisite rag doll in his hand, and waved it in front of Niannian as if performing a magic trick, "Niannian, do you like this little bear?"

He asked softly, his voice full of affection.

Niannian kicked her little legs excitedly, her chubby arms fluttering in the air like butterfly wings, she was so happy. Her rosy cheeks were as red as little apples from her excitement.

“Niannian seems to really like it.” Yan Yan, who was sitting opposite, said with a smile. She leaned forward, lifted Zhao Zhao in her arms, and said with a doting look in her eyes, “Zhao Zhao, take a look and see if you like it? If you like it, ask Grandpa for it.”

Zhao Zhao grinned, his legs kicking in the air like a mischievous little elf. He stretched out his chubby little hands, trying to grab the little rag doll.

Rong Hong teased the little doll by lifting it even higher.

Yan Yan was the first to spot Rong Mo standing at the door, and a sweet smile immediately appeared on her face.

Following Yan Yan's gaze, Rong Hong turned his head and saw Rong Mo. He was about to say something when he saw Lu Wei walking out from behind him and showed a puzzled expression.

"Lu Wei, you're here too?" Yan Yan gently placed Zhao Zhao on the small bed, spoke first, and then stood up and slowly walked towards Lu Wei.

"Hey, don't move yet, watch your step." Rong Hong frowned and quickly reminded him.

"It's okay." Yan Yan smiled. "I'm much better now, and I can walk slowly."

As they were talking, Yan Yan saw Rong Mo leading Lu Wei up to them.

Yan Yan lowered her head, a hint of displeasure flashing in her eyes, but the moment she raised her head, her sweet smile returned.

"Yan Yan, you still need to be careful. Don't twist your ankle again before you're fully healed, or you'll suffer." Rong Mo gently advised. "If there's anything you need, you can ask Aunt Zhao for help. You need to rest well."

“Is that so?” Rong Hong frowned. “I already told her I didn’t need her to help look after the children, but Yan Yan just couldn’t rest easy and insisted on climbing the stairs to keep Zhao Zhao and Niannian company.”

"Where's the nanny?" Rong Mo looked around but didn't see the nanny, which made him a little puzzled.

"The nanny had some family issues, so she took leave and rushed back to her hometown," Yan Yan said with a smile. "That's why I was worried that Aunt Zhao wouldn't be able to handle everything by herself, so it's always good for me to lend a hand. I'm not tired at all; I just need to sit here and keep an eye on things when Aunt Zhao goes to eat."

"How long will the nanny be gone?" Rong Mo frowned. "If she's gone for a long time, I'll have Wei Qiao find another nanny to replace her."

"They'll be back in about a week," Yan Yan replied. "I'll just keep an eye on them for a week. I don't have much to do anyway, so I might as well spend some time with Zhao Zhao and Niannian."

"Isn't that right, Niannian?" Yan Yan said, picking up a small hanging rope and gently swaying it above the crib. Zhao Zhao and Niannian were overjoyed.

Seeing the children so happy, Rong Hong didn't say anything more. He just said apologetically to Yan Yan, "Then I'll have to trouble you. If anything happens, don't try to be brave. Just tell Aunt Zhao if you need anything."

"Okay. I understand. I already feel bad that I'm recuperating at your house, and I'm so happy that I can help in any way I can," Yan Yan said with a smile.

Rong Mo walked to the bedside, bent down and looked at the two little babies.

As soon as Niannian saw Rong Mo's face, she immediately became excited, waving her arms and legs. She stretched out her arms, trying to grab something.

Rong Mo placed his finger in front of Niannian's chubby little hand, and Niannian grabbed his finger immediately, grinning happily.

Rong Mo's heart stirred, and a wave of tenderness washed over him.

Lu Wei also bent down, looking at the two children with a gentle expression.

"Want a hug?" Rong Mo asked with a smile.

"Is that okay?" Lu Wei looked at him with surprise and delight.

Rong Mo reached out and picked up Niannian, handing her to Lu Wei. Lu Wei smiled and hugged Niannian tightly.

Niannian opened her big, round eyes and looked at Lu Wei curiously. Suddenly, she pouted and burst into tears.

"What's wrong, Niannian?" Yan Yan came over with a look of heartache and took Niannian from Lu Wei's arms.
