Chapter 318 The Person Has Been Caught

"His own son?" Even after being dragged back and thrown onto the ground, Zhang Ruoxin could not control her emotions.

"I'm warning you, let her go!" the boy shouted, holding up his camera. "Or I'll upload it!"

Lu Jia curled the corners of her lips and said with a smile, "You can give it a try."

The boy was puzzled by his calmness. He looked down and found that his phone, which had been showing full signal strength, now had no signal at all.

He suddenly panicked.

He glanced at Zhang Ruoxin, who was crying below, frowned, and then turned and ran.

"Get up." Shen Zhi Qiu's high heels clicked rhythmically on the ground. She glanced at the weeping Zhang Ruoxin and sighed. "There's no need to cry like this over a man. It's not worth it."

"I'm crying because I'm such a complete idiot!" Zhang Ruoxin looked up with a sorrowful expression, staring at the impeccably made-up Shen Zhi Qiu, and couldn't help but feel sorry for herself. "He actually conspired with his father to deceive me!"

"If you want to cry, you can cry your heart out here, and no one will stop you," Shen Zhi Qiu said calmly.

"Aren't you going to throw me off?" Zhang Ruoxin wiped away her tears and looked at Shen Zhiqi with some confusion.

“If I don’t do this, how can I force him to reveal himself?” Shen Zhi Qiu calmly tossed her hair. “I also want to see if he will show his true colors under these circumstances.”

"You knew from the beginning?" Zhang Ruoxin asked, somewhat surprised.

"When I was investigating you, I also investigated him. Although he was well hidden, it wasn't too difficult to dig him out." Lu Jia walked up, took off his coat and draped it over Shen Zhi Qiu, then stood beside her to shield her from the wind.

"What is his real name?" Zhang Ruoxin asked, unwilling to give up. When they used aliases, Zhang Ruoxin was afraid that she would let something slip, but he seemed very calm and not worried at all. She thought it was just his personality, but she never expected that it was a scam from the beginning.

“Yuan Yu,” Lu Jia said calmly.

"Yuan Yu?" Zhang Ruoxin burst into laughter, then cried out, "You bastard, you've been lying to me all along!"

Shen Zhi Qiu didn't say anything or try to persuade her; she just watched her cry coldly.

When she had cried enough, shouted herself hoarse, and looked utterly defeated, hugging her legs and hunching over, he sighed and said, "Get in the car, let's go back."

"You're willing to let me go?" Zhang Ruoxin asked Shen Zhiqi with a hint of disbelief in her eyes.

“Two paths,” Shen Zhi Qiu paused for a moment, “First, cooperate with me, and I will find out who is behind this and put that woman in jail; second, do not cooperate with me, and I will call the police and act in accordance with the law.”

"Yes, how could you possibly let me go?" Zhang Ruoxin murmured, forcing a bitter smile.

“I don’t have a saintly heart.” Shen Zhi Qiu smiled. “You’re an adult. If you do something wrong, you have to bear the consequences. I can’t let you off so easily.”

"It's up to you to choose, but my patience has its limits." Shen Zhi Qiu felt a little cold and shrank her neck.

Lu Jia immediately took off the scarf and carefully wrapped it around Shen Zhi Qiu's neck, tying it in the most popular Korean style.

Shen Zhi Qiu watched his actions and couldn't help but chuckle, whispering, "Where did you study this major?"

"I'm glad you like it." Lu Jia continued what she was doing, a smug smile playing on her lips.

After Lu Jia stepped aside, Shen Zhi Qiu pulled her coat tighter and walked towards the car.

The high heels stomped on the ground with a resolute air.

"Zhongyi, take her directly to the police station." Seeing that Zhang Ruoxin still hadn't expressed her opinion, Shen Zhiqi said calmly, her voice decisive and resolute.

"No!" Zhang Ruoxin grabbed Zhong Yi's leg and cried out, "I'm willing to cooperate with you."

----------

Back inside the house.

Shen Zhi Qiu took off her coat and handed it to Lu Jia.

"Grandma just took her medicine and is still asleep. Sister Zhi Qiu, are you sure you want to go in?" Lu Xiaoyu looked at her with some concern.

"Yes, I'll be out soon. I can't feel at ease until I see my grandma."

She gently pushed open the door to her grandmother's small house and tiptoed inside.

Pushing open the door, a classical atmosphere immediately greets you. Sunlight streams through the wooden windows, casting dappled shadows on the floor.

The walls of the room were a light beige, with several calligraphy and paintings hanging on them. Shen Zhi Qiu stared at them carefully and found that they were all signed by her grandmother, which must have been written by her grandmother in her spare time. On the desk next to her, there were also several books, writing brushes, ink, paper and inkstone, all of which were neatly arranged.

Shen Zhi Qiu walked around the screen and saw an elegant old lady lying quietly on an intricately carved wooden bed. Her eyes were closed, and her breathing was shallow and even. She looked like she was sleeping soundly.

A complex mix of emotions, difficult to describe, surged within Shen Zhi Qiu.

She moved closer and couldn't help but smile slightly; her grandmother still loved beauty.

Grandma's short hair was streaked with gray, but it was neatly combed. A blooming gardenia sat beside her pillow, emitting a delicate fragrance.

Shen Zhi Qiu gently sat down on a wooden chair by the bed and moved the gardenias away a little to avoid the strong fragrance affecting her grandmother's sleep.

Grandma seemed to sense the movement, and couldn't help but frown, her nose twitching slightly, before she turned her head to the side.

Just when Shen Zhi Qiu thought her grandmother would wake up, her grandmother pursed her lips again and fell asleep once more.

Shen Zhi Qiu couldn't help but lean down and rest her head on the edge of the bed. She gently reached out and held her grandmother's fingertips, feeling the warmth of her grandmother's fingers. Before she knew it, or perhaps because she was too tired, Shen Zhi Qiu leaned against the bed and fell asleep.

When Shen Zhi Qiu woke up, she found herself lying in a completely unfamiliar room.

She sat up and looked around curiously.

At this moment, Lu Jia gently pushed open the door and entered, carrying a wooden tray.

Seeing that Shen Zhi Qiu had woken up, he smiled gently, pulled a movable walnut-colored side table from the bedside, and said with a smile, "Awake? Are you hungry?"

Shen Zhi Qiu glanced at the tray that Lu Jia had placed in front of her. On it was a small dish of cut fruit, a pot of steaming tea, and a small piece of matcha mille-feuille cake.

"Why is there cake?" Shen Zhi Qiu sat up straight in surprise, and Lu Jia handed her a small spoon.

"I just bought these from a dessert shop in the city. Eat them while they're hot," Lu Jia urged with a smile, tucking a strand of Shen Zhi Qiu's hair behind her ear.

"I was going to buy some daily necessities, so I also bought some desserts on the way," Lu Jia explained promptly, afraid that Shen Zhi Qiu would worry.

Shen Zhi Qiu nodded, took a bite, and exclaimed with delight, "I didn't expect it to be so delicious!"

"That's good." Lu Jia sat down opposite her. "I bought a whole one, you can eat it slowly."

"Knock knock knock." Zhong Yi knocked on the open door with a serious expression and whispered, "The person has been caught."
