Shen Zhi Qiu's heart was still filled with worry and unease as she followed the doctor to the ward door.
Rong Mo and Lu Jia followed silently behind.
Lu Jia's face was filled with heartache and helplessness. He looked at Shen Zhi Qiu's back and sighed silently.
Through the glass of the ward, Shen Zhi Qiu saw Gu Qing Yan lying quietly on the hospital bed.
His face was as pale as paper, making the abrasions on both sides of his cheeks even more noticeable.
Shen Zhi Qiu frowned, unsure how to explain things to Gu's parents.
Lu Jia saw through her thoughts, stepped forward, and gently comforted her, "Don't worry too much, your brother has already told the doctor that he will definitely wake up."
"Mmm." Shen Zhi Qiu responded softly, then turned and walked out of the ward.
Suddenly, a series of shouts and the sound of things being smashed came from the next ward.
Shen Zhi Qiu frowned even more; she had already recognized Gu Ning Ning's voice.
She took a step forward, and a glass flew out from the open door of the next room, slicing through Shen Zhi Qiu's clothes and smashing to the ground with a crisp sound.
The bodyguards guarding the door were startled and were about to step forward to protect Shen Zhi Qiu when Lu Jia stepped forward even faster, shielding Shen Zhi Qiu behind him and shaking his head at her, signaling her not to go in.
"It's okay. If I don't go, she'll definitely keep making a fuss." Shen Zhi Qiu forced a smile and gently took Lu Jia's hand.
Wei Qiao glanced at Rong Mo with some concern. Rong Mo looked at Shen Zhi Qiu's resolute expression, nodded, and whispered, "Follow Zhi Qiu, and be careful not to let her get hurt."
Wei Qiao accepted the order and quickly walked in front of Shen Zhi Qiu. "Miss, I know you must go in. Let me go first to avoid her throwing things and accidentally hurting you."
“Okay.” Shen Zhi Qiu nodded, and Wei Qiao strode inside.

"You!" Seeing her calm and composed demeanor, Gu Ningning was instantly enraged and grabbed a glass from the bedside table, smashing it at Shen Zhi Qiu.
Lu Jia quickly caught the glass that was flying towards Shen Zhi Qiu, his face full of anger. He was about to go forward to confront Gu Ning Ning, but Shen Zhi Qiu stopped him.
Lu Jia looked at Shen Zhi Qiu with some doubt, while Gu Ningning curled her lips in a mocking smile, "I don't think you have the guts to hit me. Let me tell you, my Gu family is not an ordinary family! Locking me up like this is enough to get you sentenced!"
With a faint smile, Shen Zhi Qiu took the glass from Lu Jia's hand and then smashed it against Gu Ningning's hospital bed without any hesitation.
Gu Ningning's face was deathly pale, and she had no time to dodge.
The cup smashed hard against her injured leg.
Even through the blanket, Gu Ningning screamed in pain.
"If your words are too offensive, you can choose not to say them. The Gu family is indeed not an ordinary family, but my Rong family is not to be trifled with either." Shen Zhi Qiu said coldly, her eyes narrowing as she looked at Gu Ning Ning with even more disgust.
"Shen Zhi Qiu! You bitch!" Gu Ningning, in her pain, blurted out in a fit of rage, "You think you're the Rong family's eldest daughter just because you've been taken in by the Rong family? Don't you even know your own surname?! You were raised in the Shen family, just an unloved daughter from a fallen family! "Oh." Shen Zhi Qiu pulled up a chair and sat down with a smile. "The doctor said that if you get emotional, you'll aggravate the rib wound. Since you like to scold me so much, go ahead and scold me."
Gu Ningning clutched her ribs and glared at her fiercely, "It's all Gu Qingyan's fault! If he hadn't insisted on marrying you back then, we wouldn't have ended up like this!"

"Who are you calling stupid!" Gu Ningning was furious. She struggled to sit up but aggravated her wound, causing her to wince in pain.
"If you agree to one thing, I can let you go back to Nancheng." Shen Zhi Qiu didn't want to waste any more words with her and directly revealed her purpose.
"Heh, beg me!" Gu Ningning immediately became smug when she heard that Shen Zhi Qiu wanted to make a deal with her.
Shen Zhi Qiu glanced at her as if she were a fool. She shook her head, stood up, and prepared to leave.
"Hey!" Gu Ningning panicked a little. Why wasn't this going according to the rules?
"Wei Qiao, beat her until she agrees." Shen Zhi Qiu walked towards the door and shouted as she passed Wei Qiao.
"Yes, Miss." Wei Qiao accepted the order and rolled up her sleeves as she walked, ready to get to work.
Gu Ningning panicked. She looked at Wei Qiao approaching and shook her head frantically in fear. Then she shouted at Shen Zhi Qiu's back, "Shen Zhi Qiu, I promise you!"
But the next second, he still received a solid slap on the left side of his face.
"I said I promise you, Shen Zhi Qiu!" Gu Ningning shouted in pain.
"Smack."
Another five-finger mark appeared on Gu Ningning's right cheek.
"Shen Zhi Qiu! You..."
Before Gu Ningning could finish speaking, Wei Qiao raised his hand and slapped her again.
"Miss Shen, I promise you!" Gu Ningning cried out to Shen Zhi Qiu's retreating figure. "Miss Shen, I promise you!"
Wei Qiao stopped what she was doing with a cold expression and stepped aside.
